I can't undersand how you can say that about such a fantastic horse like Frankel, have you not just watched the performance he put in! in your eyes he may remain a one trick pony but to the rest of the world he is the number 1 rated horse in the world. an absolute legend. he doesn't need to travel around the world as the best races are in England not Australia

The joy at which Frankel seems to run with is like watching a child bound through a meadow with total freedom. I've never seen a horse run like it really WANTS to win the race, it's head going up and down like a piston. Sensational.

The jockeys are too busy admiring his ability, performance and brilliance and so they don't have time to be disappointed about being beaten. He is also so incredibly calm, cameras in his face, thousands of people cheering, fanfares and he just saunters along like there's no noise at all. Everyone should be in awe of this wonderhorse.

The greatest single performance of all time by the mighty Frankel! 14 races and 14 wins! Thirteen victories at odds on.One Group One at sp of 1/20 and two at 1/10.He could lead, could be covered up in midfield or he could come from last to first. Royal Ascot 2012 was billed as Frankel, the wonder horse, and Black Caviar, the wonder mare. There was no comparison! Frankel broke the rules of racing.A normal aggregate distance for a day at Royal Ascot would be around 7 lengths for the six race card but on this day,it was over 14 lengths for the card.Because of ...FRANKEL !!

    • @johnlewis9158

yes and when has a horse almost broke the track record on ground described as good to soft. Never is the answer and at Ascot of all places. Home of the king George where were the likes of mill reef royal palace sir ivor and Nijinsky have strutted their stuff. I believe if it had not been for Cecil's illness he would have raced in the breeders cup and won obviously

I firmly believe Frankel could have been a sprinter. The early pace he showed in the 2000 Guineas and to be able to maintain that on probably the toughest straight course anywhere in the world (Rowley Mile) was phenomenal. The July Cup that year was Frankels for the taking, Dream Ahead could not live with Frankels turn of foot yet he turned out to be Champion Sprinter in Europe last year. Im glad connections took the route of staying at a mile...

yep he was a great race horse at his time. Sadly due to the different track conditions of those races he was really great on a few tracks, being in the top 5-6 in fastest times, but in a few tracks wasn't so good, being 20-30th placed or more. Like the Queen anne i think he was just .67 off being the fastest, while at the champion race he was almost 9 seconds from being close to the fastest.

Timeform Racehorses of 2012 "Many of the current generation of British racegoers will be lucky to see another as good. Today's champions have the chance to prove themselves on the global stage. Did it really matter that Frankel never ran at a mile and a half, or that he never raced abroad, or on any surface other than turf? In terms purely of the quality of his performances, Frankel had nothing left to prove. He was a phenomenon for the racing world to wonder at."

"He's the pacemaker for FRANKEL" that one line says it all how what a SHAM this race is. Frankel is uselsss without a pacemaker. Black Caviar doesnt need a pacemaker. She is a CHAMPION on her own

@Brasenose... Excelebration tried to live with Frankel here and got absolutely annihilated, He clearly got tired at the end but trying to match sprinters sectionals with Frankel from the 3 to the 2 would kill most horses in a mile race. Not Frankel, No horse in the history of racing would have beat him this day, Hence the hefty figures. Remarkable

Watch the 14 min version of BC race, It shows the other angle, the jockey whipped her
4 times. Personally I thought BC ran a great race, in particular her smart exit from the
box, the way she travelled in the early part of the race; her ease of action covering the ground and the way she sustained her gallop. Having said all this I don't believe she possesses a devasting turn of foot of the calibre found in Frankel. I am really pleased BC won and so are the British racing public.

Sea Bird sure as hell didn't break any records but held the record for the highest timeform rating ever for 47 years.

Very well said and i still don't understand why people are comparing 2 horses that races in different distance's.

Have you ever seen a horse just destroy the opposition like this race after race? I remember great horses like Dancing Brave and Nijinsky being preserved in their races at times and winning cosily. No such thing with this fella. He just goes out there and steamrollers them every time. Awesome animal, absolute machine.

I must hand it to you Brits...your trainers know how to dress when greeting a god of the turf back at the winner's circle.
