Agree. A friend of mine just built a oversized hemi engine blown in a 72 charger. Going for 4,000HP. He is not there yet. Has multiple tunes. On 91 pump he has a 1,200 HP detuned tune setup. For driving on the street. However it has a huge hole in the fuel map off idle to about 2,000 RPM. It is almost impossible to drive on the street. And a person would not use it every day on 110 race gas on the 4,000HP tune either. So to get a car to run decent on the street on gas you can buy at a gas station at 1,200HP is quite an accomplishment.

Regardless how old it was, still, people would look your way haha. i own a corvette now, whenever i see this Gem, i always give them a thumbs up. Never stop appreciating how nice they look, something about seeing one, makes you think "what is that, looks nice" if no one knows any better, you'd think its some classic super car.

@jt jtrs they were amazing, but the price killed it in my opinion since the 3000gt vr4 was the most expensive out of the 300zx and the supra, but at the same time it was the only one to offer the awd and the all wheel steering as well, but again it's price was close to like 50k compared to the supra that was like 46k and the 300zx like 44k..very nice machine indeed..

Loved (almost) every second of it (Apart from when the ecu caps leaked and buggered it!). Had to sell it to buy a house, but I would love another one day

Brave owner, billet balls. Even with a torsen-diffed 6sdpd swap at less than half the power of that one, i occasionally found mine wanting to get loose. These things were ahead of their time, but stuffed into a transverse FWD platform "modified" for the AWD. Honestly think the R35 feels more a VR4 than a skyline (just with proper weight distro and driveline ordering) - there's enough tech between you and the ground to fake a sense of safety in putting down that much power, older skylines were still telling you that you're gonna soon be one with some immovable object if not careful.
