- The NEW & UPDATED 2021 AMG E63 S wagon is here to do battle against the also new, Audi RS6 Avant. Under the hood is a 4.0L twin-turbo engine that is pumping 603HP & mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. Getting power to the ground is Mercedes Benz's 4matic+ AWD system with a launch control system. On the outside you with find an ALL New front fascia, wheels, grill, and headlights. On the inside you get a tons of space, refreshed steering wheel, and all the technology you could want. Is the 2021 Mercedes AMG E63 S a BETTER performance wagon than an Audi RS6?

Love that wagon, I hope the sport wagon space never goes away. I know it will eventually with younger generations driving mostly suvs but dang it’s hard to argue with a wagon like that

Joe, first of all, you are the favorite automotive review person for the majority of highway patrol officers who keep the highways and roads safe in the western states. I, as a 23 year veteran highway Patrol officer from a western state, love the "on throttle" portion of your reviews. Look man, I know "on throttle" action for all of the police package vehicles available today, but the one that is still near and dear to my heart is the 1991 Camaro RS/SS GM police package. 350 c.i. Tuned Port, tweaked by the state guys through upgraded intake and exhaust, to 350 h.p., 405 lb/ft of torque. I had two issued to me in the 90's and put over 85,000 miles on each without any issues. Most car guys only get to enjoy their American muscle cars or foreign hp cars late at night and can never really relax when going "on throttle". Such a shame my friend. Keep the excellent videos coming.

Wagons will forever have a special place in my heart. When I was 5 years old my mom bought a Volvo V70 wagon. It was so cool to me. I was the only child and I would sit all the way in the special two back seat that faced ongoing traffic in the trunk. If my mom had a wagon with nearly this much power I would’ve loved it that much more and would’ve been screaming,”On throttle,” as well 🤣 Great review as a always Joe. The 5 year old me is smiling.
If I had my choice I’d take the RS6….but the E63 is a spectacular vehicle…can’t go wrong with either one.

That car jumps when you hit the go pedal. Joe you must have been too far over the speed limit when you hit that first straight away you could have keep accelerating. This is a real amg. Only thing that tops it is Michael kubers name on the engine. Solid
These v8 super wagons are so perfect. Fast, comfortable, extremely practical, great looking. This or RS6 is the way to go if you’re looking for a high end family car.
So glad they finally brought bad the E63 Wagon, didn't think they'd ever bring it to the states. Soooo excited about this!!!!

As a wagon owner and enthusiast, I’m in love! However, no rear heated or ventilated seats is a definite zonk, as was the absence of USB connectivity in the rear.
Still think I prefer the RS6 but damn is it great time to be a car enthusiast

@22:24 Joe definitely busted a nut. Love that matte blue and fast wagons. I recently drove past a local Mercedes dealership and one of these things pulled out next to me. The exhaust note is glorious. A 30 sidewall height would be a tough sell up here in PA; the roads can be rough.
I personally prefer the Audi RS6 avant way more over this but this is still an amazing car. Over the last 2 years, my love for estates, station wagons avants whatever has grown exponentially. Love your videos joe!
If you prefer an Audi than a Mercedes you dont know Anything about Cars.

It's available as an option for this car. It's just not optioned on this specific car. There's even heated rear seats available as an option for this car.

I have a Trackhawk and hats off to the AMG guys, especially the E class ones. They love to have a little fun on the highway, always cool about it too.

In my opinion the E63s Estate is one of the most special AMGs out there. It's like when I see a C63s or a GLE63s, it's not that special any more. But this car stands out. I would put on an aftermarket exhaust and then it's perfect.
Impressive car no doubt, but the Merc is just too gaudy for me whereas the RS6 is refined yet sporty, luxury but an animal! Great video as always.

I love the e 63 my ONLY gripe with it is the lack of a red interior option on this high performance machine they have a brown interior option but a red makes more sense for a 600 hp amg wagon! Great video!
The answer is YES! Gona give a 👍 but don't need to watch. The RS6 is the most beautiful wagon ever made (Nardo grey only IMO) Possibly most beautiful car on sale today. But it can't hang with the e63s in any category
Every time I see a wagon I flashback to 1970 's smoke-filled family trip sliding around on armor all seats like a tilt a whirl , while eating white castle sliders. that being said, HOLY SMOKES AN AMG 603 HP WAGON WITH CLASS AND STYLE. THAT COLOR IS TITS MAN TITS ! this is better than my old Magnum Srt 8. GREAT INFORMATIVE AND FUN REVIEW TO WATCH, AS ALWAYS.
