There are also battery packs that you can use to plug the recliners into. Of course, they would have to be recharged once in a while which could become a hassle, but it would be a lot less work than the work to put in an outlet, though that would likely be the better option in the long run.

We ask the salesperson about the battery pack you have mentioned & it sounded pretty sketch in that it had to be recharged often & we didn't want the hassle of having to do that but it is an option if you can't get an outlet installed in the floor. I wanted to put one in the floor anyway since I could plus it gave me the opportunity to make all kinds of videos for that as well. Have you watched them? Just go to my main CZcams channel page then click on playlists then scroll down to electrical & you will find them there. You'll learn lots for sure. Thanks for stopping by!

@@videojoeshowsI have two of the power packs. To switch out when needed. Love them but they’re only designed for the recline option. I have a wireless charging station and dual 3 prong outlet as well that uses a whole separate plug and that HAS TO get plugged into an outlet. I don’t use that. Just my recline and USB. For the the power packs are great and I rerouted the cord so the the power pack is in the arm rest storage that way it’s easy to replace when needed

@@valentinfranco6396 Nice thought for sure. We decided not to get the power pack as I figured I would always have to charge it up & fish it out & back & forth so I thought I would do it the hard wired way. I made videos of the entire project so if you want to see those you can go to my main CZcams channel page then click on playlists & scroll down to electrical & they will all be in there. You will learn a lot for sure....Thanks for stopping by!

I did it too. want to see the entire project for all the stuff I had to do? Just go to my main CZcams channel page then click on playlists & scroll down to electrical. Took awhile but I didn't have much of a choice without running an extension cord on the floor & we couldn't have that! LOL

Seems the only logical compared to exposure of cords in the open

I agree. I've seen some people put a heavy type of rug mat down & tun the cord under that then over to the couch as an option but I really didn't want to do that since I had a crawl space under the floor. If it was on a concrete subfloor then not sure what I would've done. Probably pulled up the carpet then cut a slot where the carpet pad was then put the cord down in the slot then put the carpet back & re-stretch the carpet...presto! I have lots of videos of this entire project if you want to see how I did it. Just go to my main CZcams channel then click on playlists then scroll down to electrical & you will find all of them.....or look through all the other DIY topics I have on my channel. You will of course learn more as well as save more money around the house. Try it!

The only problem with power packs is I've heard they don't last too long then you have to pull them out from under couch to recharge them & back & forth you go. I didn't want to have to do that. Thanks for your message though!

This is not a "how to."

I would respectfully disagree with your statement as I am explaining to you how to go about adding power for a couch sectional that may be in the middle of your room. I also made videos of this entire project & you can find all the videos by going to my main CZcams channel page then clicking on playlists & scrolling down to electrical & all the videos will be in there. Good luck & thanks for stopping by!
