Did you know that sweet potato is a very healthy food, it helps prevent cancer, reduce fat, enhance resistance...
One method to grow sweet potatoes when there is no space is to use old plastic containers about 40cm high to grow sweet potatoes, cut the sweet potato stalks about 15-20cm long, then cut them into the soil, after 10 days it will begin to take root and grow. When it comes to stage 3 and 6 after planting, you should fertilize with organic fertilizer to help sweet potatoes grow quickly.
You can harvest sweet potatoes after 6 months of planting.

Don't forget to cure your sweet potatoes for 2 weeks to bring out the sugars. Put in plastic bags with slits cut in the top so moisture is not trapped. Put them near a heater (optimum: 85 degrees F with 90 to 95 percent relative humidity). After curing, store at 55-60 degrees & they will last 4-7 months.

I grow them in totes. Drill small holes in the bottom for drainage and worms and as they grow put more soil on top. It will increase the yield. Same with potatoes. Nice job BTW 👍

Thanks for sharing this wonderful method! 🙌😄😄😄😄😄 Also the sweet potato leaves are edible and very nutricious! Just remember they need to be cooked before eaten. We eat the peel too (we actually just dont peel the sweet potatoes, cartots or potatoes, we just wash them)

Use what's abundant and cheap in your area. In most of the US for example, you can use straw instead of rice husks. coir (coconut husk) is good too. You can use leaves too, or pine needles. Composted kitchen waste is a great choice as well. If you get into this lifestyle, you'll be composting all this stuff anyway and won't really have to go buy it. You'll find yourself gathering the bags of leaves your neighbors put out for trash in the fall smiling as if they were bags of money.
