I love Saka but for me heâs been off it last couple games . Our player of the month in March was Trossard and if Iâm not mistaken he score a hat trick against Liverpool with Brighton just this season . Bringing on Kiwior whoâs barely kicked a ball made no sense either . This one was on arteta a bit for me . We can praise when itâs needed and critique when itâs warranted . The line up was iffy and the substitutions werenât it either

We have seen that sub before itâs just usually that we bring holding on and not Kiwior, however we didnât have that luxury. Team just didnât make the right decisions on pitch, as for tierney he was ready to come on but ball didnât go out before they equalised
That was way too late. Our players were in trouble by then. They held out but the manager took too long to make the changes

@@bbyshady Usually this season it would have been Saliba and holding coming on to make a back 5 to see a game out something thatâs been done successfully in other games in the past. Holding may not set the world on fire but he has the experience and is better than Kiwior currently.
@@boxingmessaboutwithmydonro3347 in context of match making changes throwing on cold players would have been riskier and probably lost us the game it would have taken them 5 mins plus to get up to speed of game in which time we probably concede and lose the game. In the context of that second half I doubt any change arteta makes would have helped Liverpool had the bit between their teeth, or in boxing terms had us on the ropes and was trying to find that left hook over the top. Yeah we wobbled and had to hold on but we did and a point against a Liverpool side that thumped Utd and beat city at home this season is ok. Liverpool at home have only lost 1 this season itâs their away form thatâs atrocious
Arteta should've brought on Jorginho for Odegaard instead of Kiwior for Odegaard. I can understand why Arteta did it. Arteta probably did it because Kiwior provided more physical presence and height (for crosses etc). But Jorginho is better at breaking up play. That's his position and he's extremely experienced. It's not really a time to be testing out new ideas. Theoretically, I can understand why Arteta did it but play it smart/wise and just throw Jorginho on!
He's done it before & he'll do it again; playing Fabio Vieira as a false 9 vs Sporting was absolutely comical, Arteta in the big games is shambolic.
Totally agree, we surrendered control of midfield so instead of trying to reclaim it he puts on a guy who's never played in the PL before never mind away at Anfield.

I shake my head at these comments below saying that anfield got to us. it didn't. this manufactured narrative from english fans who have been brainwashed by their media outlets is ludicrous. the rest of the top 4 lost at anfield. we didn't. right now we don't line up well against liverpool, so what? we got a point, we go again. if we said at the start of the season we'd get 4 pts off liverpool we'd have taken it.. let's learn from the challenges and move on.
Anfield Scrambled both the players and the manager, it got to him, his decision making, the subs, the timing, it was all poor, bigger picture 4/6 points from liverpool is a good seasons work, still in our hands, so let's pick ourselves up

If Saliba was on the pitch, the Odegaard Substitution would have been the "Rob Holding" Time Sub. Which has worked in the past when defending a goal. That's what Arteta was hoping for.
Keyword here is "invited". Arteta invited Liverpool to dominate, clearly. That Saka cross, I was hoping Ben White would get the ball. But no one was there to help. Arteta tried to park the bus with this purely and beautifully attacking Arsenal team. SMH.
Odegaard was quite but should have stayed on. Tierney should have come on much earlier. Zini looked tired and couldn't deal with their right side. Ref was a joke too.

2 points lost for me. Yes I agree they dominated the second half and of course missed the pen. But ultimately when you get to the 87th minute still leading, you have to hold on.
2-0 up, we should have seen the game off. If the crowd gets to us so much that we lose our nerves and our shape, we might as well call ourselves spurs. Liverpoolâs first goal was avoidable, Gabriel shouldâve done better. Even Zinchenco was ball-watching for the first goal. The same pair was involved in the second Liverpool goal. Zinchenco getting nutmegged and Gabriel not closing Trent down. When Saliba is not playing, our LB should be Tierney, he doesnât need support from Gabriel in defending against wingers and fullbacks. Even at 2-2, there were a couple of chances to get a goal; but it was either a misplaced final pass or getting too cute. Sometimes you just need to shoot. Very frustrating result. Hope they learn from it and get results at Newcastle, Chelsea and Manchester City.
A 2 -0 lead early in a game is never a guarantee for 3 points. However, everything is still possible. City will face relegation- threatened teams, so it's still open.

He shouldâve taken Zinny, Odegaard, Jesus and Saka off and put Tierney, Vieria, Trossard and Jorginho on. Xhaka, Partey and Jorginho as a defensive block. Vieria in front of them finding Martinelli and Trossard on the counter.
I donât think any changes wouldâve made a difference as Liverpool just raised the heat and we couldnât handle it , Zinny letting Trent get past him so easily was the most disappointing thing about the game for me ,teams will now target him, KT HAS to come in to especially against City and Newcastle.

zinny isnt a defender he wants to drift he aint strict enough. and i actually think getting kiwior on was attempt to give him some experience at that level. for arteta needs a good defensive back up

We would have held on if Tierney was brought on to solidify the defence. Zinchenko was tired and got done by Trent. He would never have got that cross in if KT was brought on.

A lil bit of inexperience showed in this game. It's almost like the first 30 mins we just played our football and controlled everything. Second half we just got sucked into the occasion. Became too wide open & stretched just needed for us to find a way to take the sting out of the game..

No Jota was definitely a pen. Accidental but nevertheless a pen. To me Mo threw himself to the ground once he realised a lost the ball.
Guys can someone talk to Arteta about our left back. Drop xhaka and replace him with Zinchenko, Arteta must use Tierney in other to balance the team. Trossard need to play in the next game. In change Zinchenko and Tierney to confuse the opponent and also with the frontline too. We can still win the league. Man City will definitely drop point.

Every team we go to until the end of season starting at West Ham , will hope to start the game against us the way Liverpool finished it. Hopefully we beat hammers and stay in the race until we meet city. I feel we will win that game itâs about winning every one until then. I hope city have tough games v Bayern but come through the tie so their focus might be on those games and semi final

I'm hearing alot of people saying this but taking off Odegaard helped us to battle in the middle of the park. We were getting Overrun and that stopped when Kiwior came in, because he added a physical dimension. Where I think Arteta messed up was subbing off Jesus. That was a horrible horrible decision. You don't take off your more experienced players in games like this. It was very naive from him and I think he panicked.
I love Lee j, but yall complain too much like yall would have done a better job.
