He has started the same thing this season again becos there were games you expect him to sub Havertz or Saka but, he is rigid with his substitution. He must sub Martinelli for Trossard or vice versa even when either Saka, Havert or any other player are not performing.

I think his subs were wrong but we dominated that 1st half and should have been 2 or 3 up. Had the players taken their chances we would all be waxing lyrical about it. I don't klnow what happened in the 2nd half but I have a theory about us - we usually go balls out in the 1st half with out pressing and I think it tires the players out. We rarely have a 2nd half as good as the 1st.
Has anyone considered that this is corruption in plain sight? For how we have been playing this season and how we played in the first half, for such a change of level, we showed in the second half it looked like they threw the game to me. Maybe man city owners paying players, management and club to make sure they make history with 4 titles in a row. Anyone considered that???

I get it the club want to see longevity with a manager like when they had wenger. Its not working. Stems with the ownership. Arteta is a cash machine for them. But their Business dealings have been absolutely awful and its been like that before mikel Arteta became manager. Always missing a "piece" to the puzzle when it comes to signing players and its on a constant basis. Its old. Its not working and its time to move forward. Wont win anything big anyway with this ownership and i hate saying that but its reality. Austen trusty, Matt Turner, nuno, elneny, nketiah, cedric, zinchenco, nelson(extended his contract for what? To sit on the bench) ESR(plays him during Villa match for what? An Audition?) the list goes on. Running Saka to the ground with no competition in his place(again wont play reiss at all cause he doesnt trust him only to, again extend his contract). Anyway its not over yet and i highly stress YET. So we will see how the season ends. Btw im not talking about just Arteta with the change, theres much more to change beyond him. Owners, Staff,

This tinkering reminded me of how Emery changed things vs Crystal Palace when he had chance to seal top 4 and he messed things up from then and then got humiliated in uel final. Now Arteta is doing the same.

The thing i find funny as an Arsenal fan is people keep harping on about we only need City to draw and we are back on top due to goal difference....about 3 weeks ago arsenal was 13 goals up on City....thats been cut down to 5 now in just a few games. With 6 games to play.... City are now scoring heavily in games where arsenal aren't....so dont gimme this crap we win the league on goal scored even if City do draw a game, because they have all the right players to outscore us until the end of the season
Not only that...i am sorry, but we just aint staying perfect until the end of the season in our remaining games. That was still difficult to do even with the momentum we had built up, as well as the myth our back line was impenetrable....now all that is gone its just an up hill climb...
Reality is, we were given it in our own hands and we needed to stay there at the summit for just 7 more games....and we couldnt....i dont think its a quality issue, its a mentality issue. How we fix that god knows but it always seems to cost us.
I’m 55 I don’t think I will ever see Arsenal win the league again . Such a disappointing game after seeing the game at Brighton live , the first live game I’ve seen for 4 years due to an injury I’ve had . When are we ever going to get it over the line . Great show guys
This whole situation with arteta has been replicated from the later wenger years , both have identical problems ... the manager being at the center of this whole mess, and now we're back in that same situation, wenger left us in, and 6 years on, Arteta has now carried on with that era ... mediocrity is the quagmire we just can't escape from, and we try by changing the way we play, but we have reverted and sunk deeper into mediocrity.... arteta shouldn't be given no more chances , like wenger before him, it will become just as bad , wait and see ... Arteta either delivers or he resigns... we can't be tolerant on managers that make the same mistake year in year out.

Mark Goldbridge said it best a few weeks back when City beat Villa 4-1. Martinez and Watkins were out for that game due to rotation.....it was Villa's B team effectively..also, I think tactically Emery has beaten Arteta now twice...
