It’s not just Latinos coming through the Mexican border it’s all races and colors from different countries coming through. Other countries need to take better care of their own people from other countries. We in the US need to take care of our own first, immigrants not included. Do you take care of a stranger before your own family?
This video is actually way better than the "journalism" of the main stream media. Not strong opinions, but just showing things the way they are. I lived in South Texas for only a year but liked it, more good than bad.
South Texas is beautiful. It's a whole different world to say the least.
There are very few actual journalists left in the msm, they are mostly propagandists pushing agendas. Independent media is far more informative and truthful. The media is a huge part of the problem today.

@@KM-pp4je By independent media, are you referring to right-wing outlets like OAN, NEWSMAX AND INFOWARS that answer to no one regarding accuracy of their reporting or anything that resembles the truth? There are left leaning independent outlets as well, but they appear to, at least, try to report accurately and certainly do not adhere to conspiracy theories and pretend to be legitimate "news" outlets. I don't like the fact that very few of the cable outlets like CNN, MSNBC, FOX etc. even bother to pretend they are neutral and are either conservative or liberal. People need to get their news from multiple sources (i.e. TV, newspaper, internet etc.) and verify anything reported that is important to their life economically, politically, socially etc. Too many people get their news/info from one source and consider what they hear from that source as truthful and never bother to verify or " fact check" anything! The only news sources that still try to be neutral or have a considerable price to pay for intentionally reporting erroneously, and have any kind of legitimate oversight, are large city daily newspapers and network TV. Of course, many people will disagree, and that's OK. I would just request those people get their news from multiple sources, with a variety of opinions, so everyone can make well-informed, honest decisions!

At an rapidly increasing rate, we are missing the reasonable voice, perspective from the average person trying to make sense of different, and often difficult, situations. This channel is one of those rare voices, candid footage, reasonable questions and interviews that seek the bottom line absent from the mainstream glurge. Well done..
Coming from someone who lives in the Rio Grande Valley and just 10 minutes from the border, this is a very well made video. This is what all journalism should be: show the facts, remain unbiased, and stay professional. It’s great to see the border I live near presented just how it is, without any underlying narrative.

Out of all the Channels that I watch, this is my favorite.
I’m a white boy who lived in Brownsville, TX. I’m 6’4 and stick out like a sore thumb. I can tell you I was always treated with respect. The culture is welcoming and amazing to learn from. Some of my best friends weren’t legal. Hearing their stories of how they got here created compassion and understanding. We’re the country of dreams, where people of all backgrounds can come to live in harmony. Is there always harmony? Fuck no. But we are constantly working to become better (at least we should be). Thank you for going down and giving a perspective most won’t experience. I now live in Minnesota and am overwhelmed by how white it is here (mind you I’m white) but I miss the diversity and culture.
You should have compassion for people you know personally, but collectively you must also have compassion for the legal process. This here is helping one nice person while harming others. Zero gain and collective loss.

Thank you Peter for an unbiased and in-depth coverage of the border crisis! I'm Swedish and watching this from afar, but it's really difficult to find factual coverage. I used to live in the US but I have no political stance on the border situation. I'm generally pro legal immigration, but Europe faced a similar immigration crisis in 2015. Several European countries ended up semi-closing their borders. We're struggling to accomodate the massive numbers of young men (mostly 14-30 yrs old). Sweden is a tiny country of 8 millon inhabitants, now plus 2 -3 million immigrants.

Driving down wages and soaking up tax payer social services. Go to Compton, Long Beach, Watts, South LA. All once predominantly black areas, mostly Hispanic now. Displacing residents in those communities who are moving to the high dessert areas and taking all their jobs. Hard to make a living as an electrician making $30 an hour if someone else is willing to do it for $15. No license, no insurance, no taxes.

Cajun Navy are wonderful people they are here in Eastern Kentucky still helping people that were affected by the July 28 flooding. Peter really does a wonderful job in bringing us difficulties aspects into peoples lives.

Teeeeeeechnically, i wouldn't say this is investigative reporting. This is simply reporting or documentary journalism. He is just showing things that are already happening in plain sight. Investigative journalism is when journalists actually try to uncover some hidden information and answer questions for which the answers are unknown. I.e. media investigating Epstein connections, etc. You cant simply go and film that story, you have to investigate it. Stuff like this, you simply go and film and interview people.

Raul strikes me as South Texas vibes personified! Chill but diplomatic, always ready for a good chuckle, really means it when he says he’ll talk to anybody. I stand out when I’m in south Texas and I don’t speak Spanish but there’s no place thats faster to make friendly connections. There’s so much there that is wholesome despite challenges. This is so great. All along spots in the Texas border you can cross over for a raspa shaved ice or souvenir, although the south Texans I know all sadly lament that those days are past them.

This migration problem will NEVER be solved/stopped while the root cause is not addressed (why are people leaving their countries). Great reporting Peter! This series should have millions of views.
I think they’re leaving their countries because of the administrations actions and incentivizing this behavior. These people watch US media and know exactly what’s going on. The know the US is bent over spread ass cheeks and they hitting it.
Trump did stop it. Biden canceled the remain in Mexico executive order and Biden invited them to surge the border.
It also has to do with the lack of legal pathways to green card/citizenship for immigrants, even the “cream of the crop” immigrants, and the tiny visa caps implemented by the government for each type of visa. The requirements and regulations for a visa is pretty strict along with the high costs for renewals. That in turn prompts many immigrants to immigrate illegally to not have to deal with the bureaucratic hurdles.
@@inboxnews absolutely ! Trump had policy in place that had illegal immigration issues at an all time low and as soon as Biden took office he threw it in the trash causing massive amounts of pain and heartache for thousands and thousands of people on both side of the border
It’s not our job to solve 3rd world Central America poverty nor can we fix it die to get heir systematic corruption. Also we can fix the border crisis overnight, the left doesn’t want to solve it. Stop being naive

They are giving them money before they come here. I have been following this since Jan 2021. Studying since April 2021. I live in a sanctuary state and the planes go over my house (retired) about 20-50 a day and 100 on Sunday's. The past week it has been very quiet. When it gets quiet it scares me. I read on the Border Report and they are running out of PLANES and busses. Your words cannot be more perfect "this is not sustainable" May 2022 - 249, 000 people, as of last month they "caught" 81 terrorists and over 800,000 gottaways. What has gotten through undetected? WHAT, WHO AND WHERE did they go? The government doesn't care. I will end with this. Desperate people do desperate things, in a neighborhood near you.

I’m from Honduras, Ive been living in US half of my life and I agree 100% with the fact that this is out of control and it needs to stop somehow. But the reason people are entering this way is because in their countries it is almost impossible to get a Tourist visa much less a work visa. So unless you have plenty of money in your bank, a nice house, land etc etc you are not eligible to get that visa that you need to enter legally, If getting a Work Visa or work permit was different (easier) most people would never put their lives and their loves ones in danger. It is sad and unfortunate.
How about all Latinos come america. And American either move back to Europe or Canada. How does it sound ? Let’s just give this land to Latinos Mexicans let them run this country. Lol
