    Shin Memphis does do much damage

    you can sacrifice 12 damage and keep yourself from burning out by doing air OD zankukyaku right after falling from the fireball, then linking L DP into lvl3. 6940 damage and you come out of it with 2.1 drive bars

      @@gameclips5734 oh yeah, been exploring them all and honestly i found the route i mentioned to be the most optimal damage and drive gauge wise. the beauty of going for that route is you can always cut it short by skipping the ex tatsu if your gauge is low.
      though honestly it's a shame his raging demon max damage is 6550 or so while regular CA gets to scrape 7K

      @@LightBringer666 if you're going to cut the combo short then you're better off going for bHK into OD fireball, M tatsu, L DP. You recover more drive meter that way too. Otherwise yes, the OD demon flip fireball into OD tatsu combo is the most optimal use of meter but you're unlikely to be doing this combo to save drive gauge. I'm just sad he hasn't broken 7k yet when ryu can easily

    Good thing there's combo breakers so you can't lose 75% of your hp in 1 combo.

      I couldn't imagine SF with combo breakers lol. It just sounds so strange

    Can't you put a single HP in at the very beginning of the combo, it should go into the half special you used?

      HP does combo into adamant flame yes, but that would waste the punish counter on the HP. Regular adamant flame only combos into DP and tatsu in the corner so that would be the end of the combo. The point of starting with adamant flame is that it does the same damage as akuma's strongest normal (crHP) but leaves you +12 so you can land a crHP after for even more damage. It's basically a free hit that costs no resources, which is pretty rare.
      You could replace it with a jump attack or stHK but they do less damage and stHK also adds more damage scaling.

      i disagree, his combo routes are more complicated than lots of other characters and he can't afford to make any mistakes

      @@gameclips5734 they are? maybe its just me but i barely saw people consistently pull off 50% combos in my rank until akuma released, now it feels like everyone is just pulling off the most insane combos with ease and its only with akuma.

      @@pockettwo yes, you have to always pay attention to crouching versus standing and adapt your combo. He also has lots of combo variations leading to many players not knowing optimal combos. It also means that the timing for his combos changes a lot too and I’ve seen even high level players struggle to get used to it. Are you playing akuma yourself? I’m not saying he doesn’t have some easy ways to do damage but I guarantee 90% of players are not doing good combos atm

      This is a problem with modern fighting games in general. Stupidly high damage without execution requirements.

      @@Jagurda1 not really a problem. It’s designed that way deliberately to make games more accessible. Developers want to make money.
