    Ibex owner for a year, been loving it!! Engine is fun and ride is comfortable. Had one on one exchange for my panniers as I live in tropical climate causing the seals to deteriorate and leaked rainwater inside. CFmoto gave a new set en route to me with improvements on the seals.

      Thats awesome! I keep hearing that CFMOTO provide great service and stand behind their product. Every time I hear of someone who had an issue with a part they say it was replaced by CFMOTO with no issues. That is very comforting to know that the machine you own is backed up by a trusted company that cares about their customers.

    I love mine. Couple of comments on some of your dislikes: I have no issues connecting and using my phone (Samsung S23 Ultra) and use it for calls and streaming Pandora. Curious to know more of your concerns. Lastly, the menu system... yeah there are a lot of clicks, but I have found that I have learned it enough to manage my way through on open roads. Great video and nice website, I found a few more things I may want to buy!

    • @ADVeagle
      @ADVeagle  Před 6 měsíci

      Hey Jim, Thank you for the kind words. I appreciate it. Glad you liked the video and the website. However the website needs more work. lol.
      With the phone integration, it wasnt hard connecting it, but it was annoying with notifications and overall it didn't feel like it was useful. Maybe because I use the Caerdo for music and phone. I used it only twice and remember fumbling with it constantly don't even remeremember the reasons. lol. but now that you're saying that you're happy with it maybe I'll give it another shot.
      The menu system... You are right, maybe I haven't used it enough to get used it where I'd feel comfortable using it on the open road. so far I've used it a few times and still dont remeber where to press and hold, where to double click, and still you gotta dig into the menu just to turn on/off the heated grips and seat. But like I said in the video, those are all minor stuff really. many bikes don't even have those nice features. It was mostly to inform others of all the pros and cons.
      So what are you buying next? Buying moto stuff never ends. lol
      Thanks again for the encouraging feedback!

      @@ADVeagle you mentioned the features... yeah, the cruise control is what really sold me. A middle weight ADV with cruise for under 11k! Looking at the horn, puncture kit, and maybe the tail bag luggage.

    • @ADVeagle
      @ADVeagle  Před 6 měsíci

      Totaly. the cruise control is a bliss for long rides. You listed the 3 items in order of importance. The horn is a major safety item in my opinion. I can't tell you how many times I made phone users and texting drivers jump off their seat with this horn. its still loud on high speeds (freeway) as well. The puncture kit is great for emergencies. and the bag, I'm super happy with. for the price it's a great deal and very good quality.
      Ride safe brother!

    I've seen multiple offerings in Germany for the 800T (or 800 mt Touring over here) for 10890€, with crash protection, all of the eletronic goodies and a complete set of luggage. Also they give you 4 years of warranty here. This is on my list, definetly gonna test ride it

    I am interested in this bike so made some searches and after watching a few, also found this video, which clearly was better than most the others I watched.
    Really good and informative video. I liked and subscribed.
    I really must say that you have a great helmet audio, you clearly worked good on that one.
    Something I wondered about,, that may not be correct. To my knowledge, in Europe we dont call it Ibex 800 MT, at least not in Sweden, it is just 800 MT. The Explore model also comes with the alu bags.
    For a new channel, some advice for your yt algo. Very few people will watch 44 minutes straight. Something to think about is maybe cut down to 10-15 minutes.
    That would make more people watch till the end, which helps your videos with the algo.
    Overall, you had very nice quality on the video, but something seems wrong with the settings of your camera as the sides looked a bit saturated. The trees turned from green to purple. I think jacaranda trees are beautiful, but they were not. lol
    I will not go check your other videos.

    The quick shifter is not very good at all. Well it wasnt on the one I test rode anyway. The wind buffeting was bad too. Would need a better windscreen. What size did you get from Calsci? I like the fact that you can change out the air filter easily unlike many other bikes. Have you ever owned or rode any of the vstroms? Wondering how the two would compare.

    • @ADVeagle
      @ADVeagle  Před 6 měsíci

      I agree, the quickshifter is not the best, but I was even surprised it had that feature included for the wonderful price. Many are surprised to hear that it comes with a quickshifter. So yeah, its not the best, but I'll take it as included in the bike. most bikes don't even have that feature.
      True about the wind buffering. I really didn't like it. that's why I researched and looked around for weeks before I found the amazing ClaSci. I got the Large windshield. I'm 6'1 and its freaking perfect! no wind buffering whatsoever. even at 90-100mph.
      I actually test rode a Vstrom before buying the IBEX. it was a few years old. I really didn't like it. she felt very heavy and very vibraty. and the heat that came out of the engine was cooking my legs. but that was one test ride on one Vstrom. aslo the Vstrom is not really made for rough terrain/ off road like the IBEX. I plan on going camping a lot and wanted a bike that can take me anywhere off road without worrying if she can handle it. the IBEX definitely delivers. especially with the Trailmax Raid tires.

    I appreciate the honesty of your review. I am trying to get real world feedback from owners regarding this machine as it has my interest. I have been riding motorcycles all my life since the age of 7 so that puts 45 years under my belt and I have owned many different styles over the years but find myself looking for a bike that I could ultimately ride year round in all four seasons. Sure I could probably get an XR, DR, or KLR 650 but they have no real spunk to them and wouldn't be something I could leave middle America for a coast on and have it be comfortable hence looking towards a more middle weight Adventure Tourer.
    I had considered checking out a Royal Enfield Scram 411 or possibly a Himalayan but they lack the engine performance to act as a tourer even though they would make a fantastic economy commuter.
    I like the idea of the heated saddle and grips and the Panniers would be a welcomed accessory. What is the coldest temp you have ridden in and did you find the heated accessories to be adequate or more of a gimmick? Like I said I’m looking for an all season machine to commute to work and for weekend get aways in the wilderness with my Mrs.

      @ADVeagle  Před 10 dny

      Thank you for the comment. The coldest I've ridden was 18 degrees Fahrenheit. I was actually blown away, and so surprised by hiw effective the heated seat and grips were. I never thought a little heat on your butt and hands can make such a difference.

    Hi there! Have you noticed some cam chain rattle? I noticed on mine, sounds like a bag of nails, dealer says it is normal but I can swear the cam chain tensioner is not working properly.

    • @ADVeagle
      @ADVeagle  Před 6 měsíci

      Hi Luis, No I dont have that issue at all. I suggest take the bike for a second opinion at another mechanic. Most dealers are clueless about the IBEX because its new to them. My dealer was the same. Find a local mechanic that you trust, or with lots of positive Google reviews and take the bike there for another opinion. Any sound that is not the engine sound is something to check in my opinion.

    Hello there ! I just bought mine last month. I riden it only 2,5 km :)) . I'm waiting for the number plate. Did you lube the axels , swing arm and steering bearing ?

    • @ADVeagle
      @ADVeagle  Před 7 měsíci

      Hi, congrats and welcome to the IBEX club. 😊 No, I havent added any lube to any part. The only thing I did do is clean and lube the chain after a long or rough off road ride.
      Enjoy her. Ride safe.

    • @ADVeagle
      @ADVeagle  Před 5 měsíci

      Are you in the US? Because I heard that only the IBEX Explore is coming at the end of the year, its also a maybe, and as far as I know there's no camera and keyless start. Just from the little I heard. not sure if its true, so don't take my word for it.

    • @droflivelife
      @droflivelife Před 5 měsíci

      @ADVeagle in Australia, we have the explore here for a while now and it has to keep up with the 800Nk specs that have keyless start and the rumours are also front camera that will in the future be upgraded to radar cruise. But they are slowly introducing all these.
