Definitely ordering one for my basset hound, she’s not a hunting dog but I do take her everywhere with me. Especially in California the drivers are crazy so safety first for her.

Been seeing a lot of questions regarding large and Intermediate.
I can confirm they fit side by side in the bed of my 2017 Chevy Silverado with a bed liner. Just got mine today and set them up.
Large is for my 80LB Malinois and intermediate is for my 65LB Malinois. Both have enough room to chill but still pretty snug. Really depends on the length and height of your pups too.

After owning a cheap PETCO bought crate, I mean quality not price I watched this and bought a intermediate for my GSP. This gentleman is not exaggerating the quality is fantastic and I will be using it this weekend

Awesome video. Hopefully I’ll be getting my new lab, Ranger, one once he gets to his full size. I think he’s gonna be on the smaller side, so an intermediate might be the way to go
Thanks man. Pretty exciting waiting on your new lab. If he’s between 60-80 lbs id go intermediate for sure. Rocky would be fine in intermediate. If I had to do it over again I’d intermediate. Large is good for him though cuz he’s in there sometimes on long trips for 4-5 hours
You can adjust the door striker with a flathead and it will fix that door rattle.

If someone was to take the kennel that’s 75 pound with a 70-110 pound dog in it...maybe they’re more worthy of my dog then I am. Shit, if they took all that without me noticing or getting to them on time thats a whole different level of devotion and determination.

Thanks. I’ve been thinking about this kennel for my dog quite a bit. I know this is an older video but I do have a question. Do you drive for long distances with Rocky in the kennel in the truck bed? I’m thinking about going on road trips and want to know how that works. Of course I’d stop regularly for breaks, water and stuff but wanna know more. Is Rocky comfy in there for those long drives?

Super helpful review. If you have a single kennel in the truck bed . Is it better to put in the middle of the truck bed or on one of the sides?
I put it to the left personally but most put it in the middle to strap it down

In your opinion, would you still recommend the large? I have a 10 week black lab that is going to start going to fields with me in my truck everyday. I am stuck between the large and intermediate. The dad is maybe a little smaller than Rocky. Any advice would be appreciated!

Will 2 large kennels fit side by side in your truck? What kind of truck do you own? We have 2 large German shepherds and looking into buying a Chevy Colorado in the next year and trying to figure out if the wheel well bumps in the bed prevents them from being placed side by side. Awesome video by the way. Very informative and answered all the questions I had about the integrity and effectiveness of the kennel. Definitely looking into purchasing this kennel now.

How do you get to where you get the percentage off?

Ok this is a long shot on getting a response here. But here it goes. I agree it's the best kennel and I would get nothing else I own 3. But my issue is with the accessories in general and more specifically the crate cover. I live in alaska and also take my truck through the car wash daily. I always take my dog out during the wash but the kennel always has water and soap after the car wash. Obviously I'm aware of the holes and why. With my other crates using a mud river cover I never delt with this. I also did purchase the gunner specific kennel cover. But water still gets in and it get in through the front door. The gunner specifically cover doesn't block this. So the question is does anyone know what crate cover can cover a large gunner kennel. Kennel Dimensions
Would you recommend this for a gsd with high anxiety? The biggest things is she chews and has escaped before. I was looking at the impact but I need something quiet as well. Is the plastic resistant to scratches and chewing?
Absolutely. They won’t chew their way out of this. They sell a piece for dogs that want to chew as well
Nice review: I’d like for you if possible to test the rubber grommets in a tip over test and report the speed for tip over. Right and left hand turns please….asking for a friend 😂🤪🎩🚦
The 12 gauge test was for the kennel panel and the Kevlar orthopedic pad?…..no penetrations were found in the dog 😂

My dog is a black lab mix. He’s about the same size as yours but not exactly in the weight. He’s a mix with pit but I’m wondering if this would be a great option to get

what is your thoughts about this crate compared to the impact crate, I've been looking at both of them and wasn't sure which would be better to go with. I've looked and haven't found any head to head comparisons between the two crates...
I’ve never heard of impact sorry
Impact crates are another really good brand, but I wouldn't exactly recommend them for the car. In my opinion, they're great to keep in the house, bring to conformation shows, competitions, and dog sports. But when it comes to getting a kennel to keep in the car for hunting dogs or for safe traveling I would definitely recommend Gunner Kennels over Impact. Hope this helps :)

I’m looking into a gunner for my German shepherd but more for in house use would you say it’s practical for that ? I would want it to leave him in there when I am not home and also possibly for him to sleep in there if he wants as well as for travel would you say it’s good for those kinds of things ? I want him to be able to be comfortable and lay comfortably

I’d go with intermediate but that’s just me. Rocky is 95 and he has a ton of room

Thank for making this video! I have 4 year old male chocolate lab at 76-80lbs. I was wondering which size to get. I’m soon going to have another lab (female puppy). So here’s my question, would two full grown labs fit in the large one? I’m not hunter, I’m just looking for a crate for road traveling. Obviously for long distance I stop at rest stops but I was wondering if the large one have space for two labs to hang there and be safe for short to long trips. Thank you!
Thanks for watching. I wouldn’t put 2 labs in there not only for lack of room sake but also if you got into a wreck. Even if both dogs were 60 lbs it would be too tight
Diane Acarley-Sandall you should never put two unsupervised dogs in one crate. Incase one goes off the rails and attacks the other. The second dog has no where to go.

When he was a pup he would sleep in there but now it’s just for travel purposes. It’s in my garage right now and he’ll go in there and sleep sometimes

@@MidValleyMercenaries I live in sc would you recommend the fan as well and the weather kit? Two fans I’ve seen on some kennel reviews. My gf convince me I don’t need a gunner bc of price. I love the design and how easy of a clean up. I told her these will last forever it seems.
It has lifetime warranty. It will last forever. Unless it gets really cold, as in 20 degrees or less I wouldn’t think you need weather kit. Rain won’t go in the kennel just as is. The fan would help to keep the cool and ventilated.

The only question I have for you is how the hell do you get it into your truck bed? Such an awkward lift and practically impossible by yourself.
It’s 72 lbs which is not light but not heavy to me personally. I grab it at the top and use my knee to heave it in. Pretty easy

Does anyone know anyone who has a small used gunner for a puppy? I don’t want to buy two new ones. At a $1000 for the intermediate and another $600 for a small for 2-3 months. Thats way too much. Anyway used small anyone?

I wouldn’t say half but $500 range would bring in a lot more buyers I’m sure
@@MidValleyMercenaries I am interested why it should be half. A lot of design and research must have gone into this kennel and they pay attention to detail. It's just over twice the cost of an inferior kennel. I assume they looked at market placement and labour and material cost and priced it accordingly. It is also made in the USA which mean higher labour cost , higher tax and materials. I would rather pay more to get a quality kennel but that just me and if other kennels work for people then power to you .
