They are Public Service Announcements(PSA), not ads.

These ads are aimed at an adult audience; and for that reason they are usually shown after the 9.00 pm 'watershed' when young children are likely to be in bed.

I'm from the UK. Hadn't seen the first St John Ambulance one before. That made me cry!
Most of these ads do play on the TV, between the normal ads for products.
You don't need to apologise for your English. You speak it very well!

Thank you so much for your nice comment 🥰 Omg I'm surprised they play them on TV, considering how sensitive they are!

Most were on everyday tv, though some may be after watershed aka 9pm and aimed just for adults. There are so many really good psa and charity adverts that i remember so clearly from being a child til now. Some of the drive safe ones especially. The concept is awareness and awareness to incite action so even as a child we know things are important even if we are too young to do anything ourselves. My niece when she was five had her first pocket money and gave it to a charity voluntarily without prompting. We know so we do or we dont do. Adults and kids

Hi i’m new to your channel. I come from Scotland, UK and just want to say hello. I’ve seen these PSA’s a lot but they are effective. Take care 😘🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

some stuff is so overdramatic... so many play with fear to get through which does far more harm than good... you could do all that still with humor and reach more people... fear is nothing we improve on... fear makes us isolated, depressive, aggressive and so on... and one thing for certain: you don't stop someone speeding by telling them they could kill themselves... because most likely they are aware of it... trying to reach people through fear will cause most likely any other reaction than you want to... as fear is never leading to a logical solution... fear is always triggers irrational response not a reational resonse in the brain... at least for most people... and nothing good comes out of irrational thinking... beside the side effect of negative emotions (especially if they are already in a bad mood)... but those commercials are done by people who have no interest on what it does to people and only care that it sticks into their brain... regardless how... as they say "there is no bad commercial" if it sticks in your brain... regardless what it does there... just disgusting

They are highly affective; and have been proven to be so. And we in the UK both appreciate them and are thankful for them. Keep your amateur psychology to yourself.

They are deliberately shocking so that they stick in your mind. It works!

I understand your point of view, after I finished watching the second part of these ads, I was supposed to record other video but couldn't because my mood dropped really low. But I do think these ads are needed, effective and good to watch, some of them even show you other's pain that no one really think about (abuse, death, grief, disabilities, war) to trigger you and your empathy, which is highly needed in this desensitized world and help these people to raise the money they need to keep helping those who needs it. Yes, it can trigger you badly, but it's only for a little bit, in your comfortable home, safe and if it's too much you can always stop watching and look away, you're not forced to keep watching 🖤🥰

@@MattWhite-vh6xh proven hmm... amazeur psychology... well the only issue is that I can't articulate myself as good in English as in German... fear only surfs short time reactions but no long time changes in someone... over time you'll even get the contrary effect and numbness... let's make it simple for you as your understanding of psychology seems to be fairly low... the war in the Ukraine is worse than ever and yet less people get to notice it as it's worn out... there is a protection of our own brain that will surpress and numb too much bad issues... the reason that even when we remember bad things they get less bad over time... but I'm sure you can prove your "proven" state... proven by advertisors... not by psychology... you'll find no good study which will say "yeah that's the golden standard"... beside there are far better ways to prevent speeding and so on... guess you're another victim to the dunning kruger effect... but feel free to learn German and we can talk for hours about it... may would open your mind...

@@viyctoriyareacts I agree that people get triggered... just not in a good way and not in a way people would learn and want to change themself... given if you're emphatic you don't even need those kind of commercials... you actually desensitize people with this kind of commercials and don't make someone more empathic... empathie is nothing you learn from this... you may want to look into what the constant state of fear leads to... by the way fear was one of the big triggers that got the UK outside the EU and now those who have less have even less... just a few where able to manipulate through lies of promise and fear to trigger most into the direction they wanted them... now you see a lot of complains... the constant pressure of fear is causing a havoc... fear is never a solution to a problem...
