Over five decades back, a felicitation was held in Bengaluru for Dr. DV Gundappa, who was a literary giant in Kannada. On the dias I saw a traditionally dressed lady going around greeting everyone on the Dias. I wondered who this lady was? Few minutes later, when the lady stood before the microphone and opened her voice to sing the invocation song, at once I realised who she was. HER VOICE AND MUSIC WERE HER IDENTITY.🙏
She had come from chennai (then Madras) just for this purpose!
