  • Well the Harbor Freight Manual tire mounting machine is ok. The front tires went on with no problem could have even used tire spoons. The back tires were a little more difficult do to them being wider. As for removing the tires from the rims it was great.

I know this is an older video but I just wanted to say great job! Your son handled it like a pro and that's some great quality time spent.
    Thanks for sharing!

Well done video with your taking the time to explain each procedure..... For safety sake please consider having the person using the mounting / dismounting bar PULL the bar rather than pushing it. By pushing the bar you run the risk of slipping , going headlong out of control and maybe causing an injury.....You can maintain much more control by pulling the bar. A lesson learned by this old man about 70 years ago......

Good video, teach'em young. Here's a few tips and my 2 cents. If you leave some air in the tire it's easier to pop the bead, also pop your bead on with the valve out as to not cause tire stretch, some even use straps around the middle of the tire for this. Other then that great job guys.

I’m surprised that worked! The mount head was upside-down and in the wrong spot since the bead was already below the lip where you were using it. You are supposed to hook the mount head to the lip of the rim and run the tire bead across the outer face. That means you need to operate just past the crossover point so the trailing bead can fall below the lip as the mount head stretches it past the edge.

I use soapy water to brake tires down and take them off because it is a lot easier to do with the soapy water

Your supposed to put the bar on that little rod when your taking off and putting on the tire. It won’t keeping slipping off.

Local Cenex here does them for 20 bucks apiece, $80 ya that'll work.
