Pan Tomasz Stańko to styl i brzmienie, rozpoznawalne na pierwszy "rzut ucha". Zupełnie jak Miles Davis. Pozdrowienia z Zielonej Góry.

Marcin Wasilewski (piano), Slawomir Kurkiewicz (bass), and Michal Miskiewicz (drums) -- is startling. The Best I ever heard! They love what they are doing and that is it!
Wasilewski's monster solo at the end of the set gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it---and I listen to this recording several times a year. He even gets Stanko dancing pretty good. i completely envy every person in that audience who got to see that set live.

"ii" which starts at about 52'40" is other-worldly. The piano solo there is rarely matched in my lifetime of listenings (all 68 years of it)! 😮

Holy Smoke! There were times I could see this great band in Warsaw close to 10 times over years without paying for the ticket as the city or other sponsors took care.
The fresh cool air after it rains, a hill from which I can see clear green valleys with a bright rainbow against a darkening sky. These are the things this music makes me feel!

As a American who appreciates jazz in the United States, I love world jazz from different countries, because they learned the art form from the iconic greats that we know and heard about.
Tomasz Stanko pleases with its subtone, heartfelt sound. The silver trumpet suits him very well. Tomacz found his own convincing style of performance. Respect to the musician. I want to listen to him!

Soul of Things, Suspended Nights and Lontano are quite possibly to me the best albums of Tomasz Stanko's long & storied career. I consider this quartet to be the best band he's ever had.

No to jest zupełnie wyjątkowy koncert. Wzrusza mnie aż do ściśniętego garła i łez. Oni tak wspaniale ze sobą pasują. I ta polska nuta... Też niezwykłe jak ci powściągliwi Niemcy się rozkręcają i spontanicznieją. A Celina... Ach, kocham ten polski jazz :)
Tak zgadzam się, fragment Marcina Wasilewskiego na klawiszach słucham już chyba trzeci raz i trudno się oderwać. Jest moc! I ta fenomenalna polska nostalgia jazzowa. Przy jednym kawałku można się pociąć z żalu, a po Celinie iść na jakąś kosmiczną imprezę z kwasami i wyskakać siódme poty.
Słuchałem w 2013 kwartetu nowojorskiego Stańko na żywo, w Teatrze Polskim w Warszawie, po prostu kosmos - z balkonu przy samej scenie. Gdybym miał dłuższe ręce, to zdjąłbym mu kapelusz :) Szacun, prawdziwy wielki dżezz. Pozdrawiam
