hey man, loving the surf just a quick question, is there any chance that we could get a couple waves with the go pro pointing down, because Im really trying to work on my foot placement and pop up and I cant find any decent POV videos showing how so ye, just a query, looking great on the waves, cant wait to see the next one!
Hey mate! In my normal POV videos I won’t be doing any of that. But I’m sure I’ll make a video about foot placement in the future and yeah I’ll definitely shoot some for that 👌🏽
Honestly, a lot of people focus too much energy on where their feet should be. Just make sure the backfoot is on the traction pad (preferably pressed against the kicker) and your front foot is somewhere that feels “natural” when you stand up.
We never really think about where our feet are. They naturally/subconsciously shift as we do different things on the wave (pump/stall/turns etc)

Nice vid. I’m completely new to surfing and would love to get into the sport should I start off with a short board? What board would anybody recommend
No bud, get a mini mal... 7ft ish...
Thanks mate!! Yeah get a 7ft foamie. Once you’re able to catch waves by yourself and have a pretty good read on the lineup id move down to a fibreglass board but like still pretty chunky like a fish or hybrid. Then only get a shortboard once you’re an intermediate 🔥👌🏽
