What do you think of the new Engwe L20 2.0 ?
Just bought this bike and really like it. My biggest concern was whether it would handle the steep hills I plan to ride on. After testing it on those hills I am happy to say that it handled the steepest hills I could find without any problem. The bike has very good acceleration and gets me from point A to point B in no time at all.
I think your review of the Engwe L20 2.0 was comprehensive, easy to follow and presented me with information not available in a previous review I watched. Thank you for your logical and easy to understand content on a product which I am seriously considering for purchase, or not. 🙂
Glad it gave you the info you were looking for 😀👍🏼
Good review Thanks.
Agree with the key being a problem like that, the battery is likely an off the shelf factory item to keep costs down I think.
Yea lots of cross over parts.
I agree, the key sticking out of the side of the battery to run it is an idiotic arrangement: too easy to lose, too easy to get damaged, too easy to be stolen or "jacked". The most ideal method would be a shut-down toggle which (importantly) cannot turn the bike on, but it CAN turn it off. The key would only be to initially turn on the bike. That way you can turn on the bike initially, stow your key safely away, and when you get off the bike, you just flip a toggle switch to power down, no key needed.
My favorite feature is the easy to remove battery, mitigating some of that weight when loading
Agree, loading this on my Rv bike rack is a breeze
Can you pedal it without installing the battery as normal bike
@jordanspark1754 yes but if there are hills around where you live you will get a work out. But it’s not nearly as bad as some bikes since this one is lighter and the gearing isn’t bad with the battery off. And if it’s out that’s even lighter ..👍🏼
This is exactly what I'm looking for ..I'm a BTK Amputee and can no longer handle the weight or shift a motorcycle...
...this will allow me to ride a bike again while getting some much needed exercise it's actually perfect 👌
Awesome !! Glad this helped you out 😀👍🏼
NO! You are correct, the key should not be sticking out while you are riding it, first thing me or my wife will do is break that thing off , accidentally of course, but for real I definitely can see that happening. Maybe I can get inside the socket and drop some of the wafers like I did on my 20 plus years old CRV, NOW I CAN LEAVE MY CAR RUNNING WHEN I NEED TO GET BACK INSIDE MY HOUSE IN THE WINTER, AFTER I FORGET SOMETHING INSIDE. 😂 I JUST PULL MY KEYS OUT WITH OUT TURNING the tumbler AND THE CAR KEEPS RUNNING. 😂
lol my old car was like that. Old Subaru. Great car. But yea I prefer the key to come out 😀👍🏼
Hi , Thanks nice review ... would rain running down the battery interfere with the connection terminals ?
It is sealed a little and I think normal to lighter rain would be ok but crazy down pours and puddles are not advised.
All of the negatives can be fixed but not at $800,it's a great bike for the money.
I think it’s a great bike and has earned a spot on the back of the Rv !! 👍🏼
I’m 5’0. I’m 69 and pretty active. Is the seat & steering handle adjustable enough so that both my feet can touch the ground? Tks
The steering adjusts a lot. Being 5’0 though can be different for several people. If you have long legs and short torso this would probably be fine. But if opposite at 5 ft you might be tippy toe with both feet or flat with one foot 👍🏼
I’m a disabled senior and this review might work out for me. I have tried a lot of things to get mobility back but it’s been either returned or sold at a loss. A knee scooter also has not helped me and presently is on the market.
Glad this helped, if you are not to short then your limited mobility may still allow you to use this item if you still have good balance and would like to take some rides around your area.
My mother in law has MS and this bike she can ride when she is feeling well. Although she is short lol.

Wish we had this bike in Europe. And even if we did it would 1300 euros
Bought it in the UK for £799 less than 2 months ago. Here it is called Engwe L20 SE
@@LondonRider2024 totally different bike
@@supernova1976 Oh what's the difference?
@@LondonRider2024 Different motor, battery and stuff like light.
Was you able to successfully go into the settings to increase the speed? I watched one guy do it, but it somehow didn’t take.
I didn’t get it to change. So bet they start locking this out due to rules changing
@@PoweredwithJohnny so apparently you got to get up to speed with the throttle and then start peddling Lego of the throttle and then the peddling is how you get up to 28 miles an hour and stay up there
@bremarcle2729 correct 👍🏼 if you want the full speed of the bike just keep pedaling. No throttle required and it will go all the way up to 28 mph. And you don’t have to pedal fast or hard just a slow pedal so the sensor sees it moving. The throttle take you to 20 mph.
@@PoweredwithJohnny it’s really weird because the demonstration I watched is speed three capped off at 20 miles an hour when peddling but if you put on the throttle which caps off at 20 miles an hour and then start peddling, you can get past that 20 miles an hour up to 28 miles an hour it’s really weird
@bremarcle2729 ahh got ya. Yea pedal assist is about 6 mph each roughy it seems and will go faster on flat rode. But on setting 3 just pedaling yea only about 18-20mph. And setting 4 about 24mph and setting 5vis full from what I remember. Ill have to go go it again. But yea if you want 28mph then setting 5 when pedaling. If you wanna twist throttle only and not pedal then up to 20 ish mph. 👍🏼
im not that heavy but the old model the seat stem started to bend back
The actual seat post?
What is the total range in miles
In 2 or 3 speed..?
That’s a tough question because of so many variables. What type of terrain? Rider weight? Air pressure? Outside air temp and more.
Only way to tell is to ride that route with that rider and bike in those settings to find out…
Are the tries tubeless? And slimed? .... Thank you
No they are tubes and when you buy it. It will come with two tubes 👍🏼
What is the total weight including the battery? Can you go to the beach with it?
It’s about 70 pounds and loose sand will not do well with most any Ebike as you need a ton of power just like a vehicle in sand it robs power big time
THA ❤
is this bike better or worse than the ep2 pro
I think it’s better..
here’s some info Which Is Better? ENGWE L20 2.0 VS ENGWE EP-2 PRO Full Comparison
czcams.com/video/mlO1OnOouMw/video.html
@@PoweredwithJohnny i’m in the uk and can’t get that one i’ll have to get the ep 2 pro thank you for you’re help is the ep 2 pro definitely a alright bike though even if it isn’t as good
How tall are you?
5’10.5 😂👍🏼
Is it sidewalk legal
That will vary by country, by state and county. If you cant ride a normal bike on the side walk then that’s a no for a e-bike. And if you can some rules are 20 mph or less. You need to check your own county or city ordinances
Can an adult and 10 year old child ride together on this ?¿?????????
What you do is your business but it says not to.
Can it take the weight though ? Ur suggestion???
@noorulainnoor3656 well the rack says it’s weight rating. So that’s up to you at that point
I have the SE version of the L20 and I can tell you the range of this e bike is terrible down as low as 6 miles range. Pointless e bike.
This 2.0 is great. Don’t live around a lot of hills or a heavier rider?
