this lady is absolutely amazing, made more sense than 20hrs of other CZcams vids
Always practical, no-nonsense and entertaining presentation. Great work, Lena.
Great advice, especially the elbows, seldom does it mentioned in pistol trainings. Live long and prosper.
Oh My God! Just when you think you have heard and seen it all! What a fabulous pack of useful info and more importantly what a presentation! No corny humor no self aggrandizing (even though your record is well deserving) and no overly dumbed down or jargon-filled. You are a natural teacher. How awesome to see the daughter of world class champions exceeding parents and carving a unique niche. Thank you Ms Lena. Well done indeed.
Comment from across the pond from Germany: Uplula has been available in Europe for a while and it is one of the best pistol related inventions ever. If you don't have one as a pistol owner, it's your own fault. Good that Lena brings this useful thing back to mind.
turning my elbows to the side completely turned around my accuracy THANK YOU
No nonsense...informative...looking for more from Lena.
Lena you're the best instructor I've ever seen. Thank you for your time and excellence.
Much better than a lot of shooters and operators here on CZcams.
I don't think she would be a good instructor. I'd be looking at her and not paying attention.

Thanks Lena for taking the time to explain the why's and demonstrate the how's.
Too many pro-shooter's skip past us novice folks that do a bit of plinking or to stop a threat snakes, skunk etc. and your skill levels can zip by us when watching.
Good tips! Always makes sense to review and renew because practice doesn't make perfect; PERFECT practice makes perfect.
Lena is the only well-known pro I see using the ‘trigger guard grip,’ which I have had some shooters use to great effect over the years. Thanks for being willing to show people that doing slightly different from whatever the ‘tactical shooting flavor of the week’ happens to be is OK, as long as it increases performance!
I really like the trigger guard grip, but virtually everyone tells me it's a bad habit and don't do it.
Notice also that from that position she doesn't have to "cam" her wrist which increases the strength of her grip.
@@johnjubie7144 There's a video that Jerry Miculek, the man himself, tackles the same point that a dude makes when saying that: "There's no right or wrong way to do it, there's winning or losing".
Always remember that "the current way" of gripping a handgun would be outrageous 40 years ago, and "40 years ago way" would be outrageous 80 years ago.
@@johnjubie7144 I do the same thing, ccw instructor said "can you shoot like that" I said absolutely, ended up being one of the two fastest and most accurate in the class. Other other guys only edge was his striker fired gun vs my double action SIG. They made me start firing with my hammer down so I wasn't quite as fast as the other guy lol
She emphasizes over and over CONSISTENCY. I like the more natural wrist angle when I put a finger in front of the trigger guard. The problem arises when the pistol in my hand has a smooth, rounded front on the trigger guard. I definitely would test this approach but for my 1911 bias.
I've got nerve damage and loading mags is tough. When I was shooting for my concealed carry permit the RSO brought me an UpLula and it was amazing. I wasn't as fast as Lena but it's crazy how easy one makes loading especially with new mags that have stiff springs. When I bought my P365 an UpLula was along side.
Turns out that my left elbow has been turning down during presentation .
Causing shots to go left.I tried all the other shooters’ tips for left impacts.
No permanent fix. I didn’t know I was doing this, until this video made me
Look at my elbows.MUCH thanks Lena!
Great tips, especially about the elbows. Will have to try the two fingers over the trigger guard. Excellent tips, and excellent instructing- I love her teaching style.
I'm 64, raised in East Tennessee, and im learning soo much from you, thanks Lena.
Great tips and good products. Thanks for the great info Lena!!!. And thanks sportsman’s warehouse.
Every one of Lena's videos I have seen have had outstanding info. One note on her (Vulcan) 2 fingers on the trigger guard grip - this works for competitive shooters since they are not permitted to have pistol lights attached but most self defense/LEO have lights which prevent this type of grip.
Very informative, helpful, and simple.👍👍 Great for all shooters, from beginners to experts!
Gorgeous AND I learned so much !!! Thanks Lena
Love the elbow cue ! Thank you !
Thanks for all you do. Much respect to you and your father.
You have taught me 2 valuable techniques that I did not know, thank you. And if it is stated as a 2A fact by a Miculek, then it always hits the bullseye! Take care, Lena!

Your explanation on using your body to control recoil is great. I have been shooting for awhile, but just could not seen to be consistent .. Bad days were not so bad just not as good as consistently my good days thank you for something new to try.. use my body to control recoil, after watching your video I dont think my stance was very good, consistent I mean.. thanks again
1:52 I was waiting for her to yell at the person shooting to give it a rest

I heard her refer to that grip as the "sloth grip" in another of her videos.

Live Long And Prosper
Hi Lena, regarding the pro-grip do you have any recommendations on any type of shooting gloves? or gloves made for shooting? I have the worse case of sweaty palms and Pro-grip just becomes bad.
😍😍😍😍
The live long and prosper grip
Where to buy ProGrip? I tried Sportsmans Warehouse but no luck...
