- My first attempt at a travel video. so me and my wife head off to Corfu for a week and I decided to log our trip, the stuff we did, the hotel we stayed at and hopefully I can show you how beautiful of a paradise Corfu really is.

4:34 we have a relaxing day as we were up at lam yesterday to catch our flight
5:24 we head off on an all day cruise to Syota with BBQ on board and swimming in the blue lagoon €65pp, drinks extra
6:13 cool chessboard behind the coastguard station
6:44 time to board the boat and head back
7:45 there's plenty of shops in Corfu for souvenirs and while busy, feels safe
9:26 sunset catamaran cruise €89 pp all drinks and a light dinner all included
12:13 we hire a car for today €65. I'd highly recommend it, It's a great way to see the Island at your own pace

Going here at the end of July, I’ve seen very mixed reviews online which concerned me, but after watching this I can’t wait, it looks great!
Hi thanks for your response. I've seen some mixed reviews myself and they mostly seem to be from the staff shortage and some of the rooms are outdated. We went during a very busy week but found it very clean and never waited more than 10 minutes for a table at peak times.
Hopefully you'll have a great stay, we fully enjoyed ourselves there and was our second visit to Corfu.

It's a small world! I just booked a swim up suite for this hotel in September for a week and was nosing through a few videos and I found yours! How's the channel going? I've done well on subscribers but need to get my watched hours up.

Channel is going all fine thanks. I'm the opposite really, getting views but subscribers not so much. Some videos work, other don't but it's all trial and error.
I got my last video from our recent cruise to do then 2 train videos to edit.
Off to Dublin soon for a concert so gonna do a video or 2 while I'm there.

Whats around hotel
Sorry I've taken a while to reply. Around the hotel there is the beach and a nice one too.
It's a steep walk up to the main road where you can catch a local bus (hotel staff can drop you off there if you ask)
If you take an excursion the bus will pick you up down at reception too.

I read that the lounge chairs on the beach cost something. What about the lounge chairs in the grass above the four-poster beds? What about the ones in the grass on the far right when you look at the hotel? Are there free loungers near the beach? Or only right by the pool.
That's a good question and I've been trying to rack my brains about it. I'm almost sure that the loungers on the pool are free and there is a fence from the beach so only hotel guests can use those loungers.
The 4 poster beds are an extra cost per day.
Not sure how much and the price has likely gone up since I visited so best to enquire when you arrive at the resort.

Hi thank you for the feedback, means a lot that I've helped you decide. The sunset cruise is amazing and I promise you'll enjoy it, was my highlight of the trip.
With car hire I hired it from the TUI rep in the hotel, but the hotel also runs there own rental too. Just book the type of car you need and what days etc and the rental company will come to the hotel to sort the paperwork etc. When you're done with the car just leave your key at the front desk, really good service too.
We were in room 1027.

Does it smell of poo? We have seen so many reviews mention the sewage smell
I didn't smell poo in the room or general communal areas.
Plumbing isn't great in Corfu so if you flush your toilet paper then it will back up and smell so maybe that's what they mean

yes it definitely is. please check with your tour provider or hotel directly please for the minimum age allowed
