😂
I think so
Dude, this content format is on another level. It is amazing. Do more using this kind of video presentation, it is awesome.
Love to hear that. There will be a few more in the future 😉
Great content, Tobias! Very informative and easy to understand. Would be cool to see more of stuff like this.
You're doing great job. Cheers!
Hey Tobias, thanks a lot for all your enriching tutorials. And this one stands out as the best so far. I am over 40 and playing with younger players requires a proper strategy rather than just the energy.
One of the best or would say the best badminton channel to comfortably rely and learn from. Thanks again for such high quality lessons.
(I play at KBK Copenhagen and loved your video on your visit to Copenhagen Denmark 👌)
This was such a great video on tactics with clear analysis and reasoning thank you! Please create more videos on this topic and for doubles if you can
This is pro level stuff. I have learnt these things from anywhere else. Thank you, Tobias.

Thanks! I remember asking for a video such like this quite some time ago and you said you had something like it in your mind already, really nice to see it and I love it! Good job - looking forward to more videos like this.
Another great video Tobias! Thank you

it was very informative and very excited for the next video tactical video
Amazing, you earned a new subscriber!
Can you make a video on tips providing with some strategies of playing what type of shots at given circumstances. Love your videos btw 😁
Thanks I needed this I always find tiring myself after 3-4 swings.
Sir, thanks for the sharing 🙏
Amazing video thank you!
This is the way I got used to playing. Not being an excellent smasher, I turned to a very interesting game mode: control. As is well explained in the video, the goal is to minimize your efforts as much as possible and tire out your opponent as much as possible. Excellent analysis which clearly shows that the balance of power in a sport is not only based on raw offense.
This is amazing. Love the multi camera view of you talking, and the big screen with the rally replay. It was very helpful to understand your commentary. You described the goal of the rally very well and also explained the purpose of each shot, or series of shots.
Definitely it's physical to play back to the same corner, but it's also a lot of mental tactics, as you lured the opponent into thinking they could attack, but it all played into your strategy. Also good that you showed a rally that was not completely flawless, when you got into a bit of trouble, as opponents can turn the tide during rallies too.
You just earned yourself a subscriber:D
This will help alot thanks
Superb content sir! Please make more such videos. Please also make doubles videos
Thank you bro❤
Nice video!!!❤
Thank you for the tactics i just got back from badminton and we have intrams in school I'm planning on using this since my smash always get caught on net iv'e been not playing badminton for 3 years straight because of pandemic
You nailed it!
Loved your playstyle in that rally
Thanks, actually quite far away from my preferred attacking playing style but I try to get better in the defensive and patient way of playing
This was a great tactic ❤
Nice play sir
Really cool video
Really interesting kind of video!
Thank you ☺️
Informative video
I will use this strategy
This is amazing! This is how I torcher my opponents 🤷♂️😆👍
Great video
Real good...
Pls more videos about tactics
Big support to you here from Saudi Arabia❤️🇸🇦, I really learned a lot from you, thanks, also after 2 months we got a national tournament here for singles, the winner will get 200K dollars and I’m the number one seed now on my country but I need to work much more to stay on top specially for this coming tournament, please focus more on singles tips these days for me 😆🙏🏻 When I win I will come to Europe for Badminton practice and I will give you a hug for sure 😂

@@tobiaswadenka8435 😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️ you are the best
Thank u very much you listened me and created a video on singles game!!!Plz tell just one more things in comment that what are kind of tactics applied by Lee Zii Jia in singles is just playing like you taught in video or something else !! Plz tell!!It would be a great help!!
Tobias, where exactly is the dead zone, and what advantages do you get from playing shots into that area?
Super
Thanks for the helpful video Tobias.
However, I wonder what is the best way to get out of this situation as oftentimes, your opponent can do the same thing to you. I reckon that perhaps, this could be a training match for the player in blue (to train his footwork/shot decision) as he did not always play the optimal shots.
E.g., at 1:09, he was already pushed to the back line; I guess a straight clear or even a straight drive/ neutralizing shot would have given him more time. That cross-court drop basically let you dictate the game from then on.
At 3:37, this is probably when he could have salvaged the point hadn't he gone for that loose smash? Could a committed straight smash or a punch clear be less adventurous?
Also around tip #3, I think he gave you too much freedom to send him running but this is when I thought it could be a training for him. He was not late to the shuttle but his return is kinda strange. A bit too leisurely I'd say.
Again, fantastic video as it is exactly what most players need. I hope you could give me some directions regarding those thoughts above.
Thank you and great points you mentioned. I think all of your points come down to two things: decision making and shot quality. As you mentioned, in some situations another shot would probably be a better choice and would have made it harder for me to dictate the ralley. On the other hand it always depends on the shot quality. For example the cross drop in such a situation could get the opponent on the wrong foot and get you out of trouble or in a good situation but therefore the shot needs to have good quality (tempo and placement). The big problem: when you get tired both things, decision making as well as shot quality, go down most of the times, also because most players do not really train it that much together, we focus on quality and tactics OR on hard physical work. To get better in that situations you need to combine both things in the training and try to keep focus and quality even under extrem stress and pressure
I think something you aren't talking about is that you didn't actually do anything special or noteworthy in this rally. There is just a clear skill gap between you and your opponent, and given such a gap, it is inevitable that the rallies end up looking like this. It would be more interesting for you to analyze your strategy against someone better or the same level as you.
To give some context: that Talley was towards the end of training match after an intense session and I felt that my training partner already got tired or was more tired then me. That's why I decided to not go for the points (usually I love to attack and go for it) but to play rallies as his shot quality and speed went down. Of course that tactic is a lot harder against opponents that are stronger, in that case I would usually also prefer another playing style with more speed, a smaller court and shorter rallies, more about that in the next video.
Good
Tip 1 : Force your opponent all the way into the corners
Tip 2 : Avoid hard smashes early in the ralley
Tip 3 : Play the same corner multiple times
Tip 4 : Use short deceptive drops from the rear court
Tip 5 : Wait for a bad decision by your opponent (then use it against him)
How do I counter someone who always pressure the backhand rear court to the edge.
Coach - how to make tierd your Opponent ! Opponent -am watching
wonder how to know , from player movements, if opponent would tired before i shut down.
if you concern about this move , you can watch Akane Yamaguchi Women Single from Japan used this method.. Love this one ,.. Great !!
How do we counter this?
My hard guess is a toss then drop shots to take control of the court ?
HI SIR,I AM A AGGRESSIVE PLAYER WHO DEPENDS MORE ON SMASH RATHER THAN CONTNUING IT BY A DROP OR TOSS,SO I WANNA KNOW IS THIS MY BAD HABBIT AM I DOING SOMETHING WRONG? WHAT SHOULD I DO PLEASE HELP
can I use the same strategy in doubles to make my opponents tired ?
top G
My coach keeps using this against me. 😕What can I do to beat this kind of player? Great video as always🙏
u should make a summary of all the tips in the end
Yes, good hint for the upcoming videos 👍
That works pretty well for tall players! How about short players?
❤❤
if my opponent is doing this to me, how do i reverse the situation?
Do you sometimes serve forehand serve (high or low)?
In fact yes, sometimes I add in high forehand serves when my opponent is not too dangerous from the Attack, the shuttle is a bit slow and/or the opponent is already tired. That can provoke a lot of easy unforced errors or bad decisions
What should I do when opponent does this to me?
Imagine my opponent is always watching this video 💀
😂😂😂😂
Tobias, man, you don't read minds in your free time, do you? 😂
I was thinking about this yesterday, wondering how to win points if my smash isn't the strongest and I fail to capitalise sometimes on weaker lifts and open court.
This wil help✌️
Edit- Right. It did help. So, percentage play is what I need. Same corner multiple times, no hard smashes early on, stay patient and play occasional drop shots
Haha awesome. Mind reading - probably also helpful on court and maybe a good topic for one of the future videos 🤪
Hey Tobias, Please Do Come to India 😀 We Indian Fans are Eagerly waiting for you 😇🇮🇳
I hope I have a chance to be there soon! 🫶🇩🇪▶️🇮🇳
@@tobiaswadenka8435 yes please
@@tobiaswadenka8435 You Can visit India in December Bcoz Premier Badminton League is there in India and after that in January India Open Super 750 Tournament will also be there 👍 And Don't Forget to make a Vlog of No 1 Badminton Academy of India, Gopichand Academy in Hyderabad 😇
Hi.. Noobie here. I've got trouble moving back to intercept clears. Do you have any specific workouts or trainig pattern for guys like me.
Hey. In this video you find a few footwork patterns for all corners czcams.com/video/N9jukZlmkns/video.html
I could imagine that the rear court footwork may help you with your problem
Nanoray 18i or astrox 27i which one is better ?
I haven't tried any of those two but maybe someone else can give his view on it
What bout doubles ?
Hi Tobi! Can I still send in my video clips or is it too late?
At the moment I have no time but I am sure there will be more chances in the future
@@tobiaswadenka8435 Ah ok. Sure keep me updated on that and good luck to you. Love your videos and I'm always a huge fan
waaait what ? did i recognize the court right ? is that City Fitnesa in Nürnberg ? back in time it was callen Injoy ?
Yes you are right! Are you also practicing there?
@@tobiaswadenka8435 Not anymore no. Now im playing at TSV Stein 1875. Sometimes im there for fun tho, when im playing outside of the club.
Thanks a lot. it was very useful, but I think it would be better if you showed the correct techniques
I enjoy your videos💐🌺❤
Bro! But the problem is enemy also watching this video.🤣😂
At 2.56 the opponent played a back hand return that is way too quick this caused him to not have enough time to return and tobias could easily move him around. I feel that many singles player do not vary the speed of their shots. People always think that a slower return would put you in a disadvantage but this is untrue a well placed slower shot will put you in a good position to attack or defend.
Waiting for your give away (racket)😅✌️
Bro. If I just suggest adding some languages like Indonesian, Japanese and Korean, because your knowledge is useful for those around the world who really need it, I'm no exception.
that rally analysis with the 4 shots on the same corner makes me feel tired just looking at him changing directions 😓
the question is, why is your opponent giving you shots which are easy for you to take?
My opponent and me watching the same video 😅
What if my defence is weak so
If your defense is weak slow the game down so you have more time to react, the opponent in the video is returning every shot at full power that's very bad unless you are a very quick player. Do not rush as this is singles and not doubles.
Somehow I'm always the one who does all the running...
We can call that milking the opponent.
You are sooooo handsome love you fron India❤❤❤❤❤
Then what if they did this to us? How can we escape to this?
Especially playing shots that make the court smaller for yourself or that make it hard for your opponent to make the court big. More details in the next video 😉
Eagerly waiting for it sir
Nothing makes me feel worse in badminton than when someone is fitter than me. However if I’m the fitter player I just know I’m going to win as I can dictate everything. If you’re tired you have to try winners/smashes. It’s your only chance but this is a bad tactic. I miss the days when I would never get tired lol
I have played for 2 months and I'm going national match without going state level
It would be better if the video was played first followed by your analysis. That way, the viewers will initially develop their opinions before merging them with yours. Therefore, people would be delighted to realize their shortcomings.
Just like Lee Chong Wei
it's very simple, low level player always tire with higher lever player 😂
Real play, opponent will play nett, stroke, drop & drive not placing back to you like that..
Putting so much thoughtfulness and good logic into the analysis, it is awesome to realize how much detailed it can be, our overall approach to the game!
