I just bought the Power Pressure Cooker XL, have no idea how to use it. LOL the recipe book it came with was useless for me. I am going to try this tonight. I don't know how long certain foods should cook for, so I appreciate your video. Thanks I like more of the one pot meals like this
Hey, Thanks for the video! We have the **Wolf Gang Puck Pressure Cooker**. Cooked it for 9 minutes and the noodles weren't done. Added another 7 min and it turned out great. We all loved it. Thanks for sharing!
I've been meaning to try out this new Fagor Duo 8 Qt. I found on a pretty good sale. Just made this as the first thing I've tried in the new pressure cooker. It turned out pretty darn good. I had a big red onion going soft so I cut that up and added a tablespoon of canned minced garlic and used some leftover chicken stock in place of water. I think a small can of sliced black olives would be pretty good in there too, maybe next time. Topped it with shredded 3 white cheese blend and dry Parmesan. I thought I'd try and be smarter than the directions in the cook books so I had the heat too high at first and scorched the bottom a little. Next time I'll keep the heat lower. Still, it tasted fine as long as you don't scrape up the scorched bits.
Thanks for making the video. Just bought a power cooker from Walmart for Christmas and found that the instruction manual was pretty much useless. I've been looking for videos on this, but I'm just finding videos for the Power Cooker XL - looks like you are using the 6 qt version that I have. I know they are similar, but the settings seem to be a little different. Made pulled pork last night and it was incredible. I look forward to seeing more videos from you!
Thank you for this recipe!! I did it and it was awesome!!! I am learning to use my new electric pressure cooker and this was very helpful, my husband and my daughter loved it!!
I just purchased a electric pressure cooker I'm going to cook this; this weekend. Last Sunday I cooked some stuff I watched on CZcams and turned out great.Thank you for making this video.I'll let you know how it turns out; HOOAH! From a DogFace.
I just took my Instant pot out of the box and it ready for its Christening. I'll know in about 10 minutes or so if mine is as good as yours looked. You need more Instant Pot vids on your channel. I'll try the other 3 as well.
Making it right now - thanks so much for taking the time to make the video! Just curious, do you have a blog or facebook page for recipes, or anything like that?
Amanda Young you are welcome. I hope you enjoy it. I do not have a blog or Facebook page yet. Maybe if I get a few more projects caught up, I can make more videos and start a blog.
I know this is an old video, but you messed up the way I cook spaghetti. Bcuz of your video, this is now my go to way of making a quick dinner for me and my son, it’s so simple bcuz it’s all in one pot, set it and forget it type of meal. Thanks so much for this video, I hope you have more meal videos with the pressure cooker
Does your machine have a manual button? Just got my instapot at Christmas and doing a test run today for spagetti. So far it has been a slow cook process. Will keep trying. I am using elbow macaroni instead.
New to your channel & to pressure cooking. Enjoyed the vid. I hope you can please help me with a question. Is filling only half way the key to cooking pasta successfully. The manual that came with my pressure cooker states to not cook pasta in it. I was told that pasta could possibly froth up too much & block the vent. Have you ever experience any problems cooking pasta in your pressure cooker? My family loves pasta & I'd love to make lots of pasta dishes in it. Thanks
I have never had an issue cooking pasta in it. I just fill to cover the pasta with water and cook. If you are concerned about it being too bubbly, you can add olive oil to reduce the bubbles.
I'd like to recreate this for dinner tomorrow. It looks like you used 2 pounds of frozen meatballs, 1 pound of pasta, and what looks like a 64 oz jar of sauce with about a cup of water to rinse the jar. You pressure cooked for 8 minutes. It looked like you allowed the pressure to naturally release as well. Does that seem right? Thanks
I’ve tried pasta and meatballs twice in my Instant Pot and got the burn indicator twice! I had plenty of liquids in the pot. The first time I cooked a solid chunk of frozen hamburger in the IP, then broke it all up and added the pasta and sauce, stewed tomatoes and plenty of water. It wasn’t bad and not much was burned. In the IP they only recommend cooking for 4 minutes. The second time I used pork meatballs pre made from the store. I assumed they were uncooked, as the package did not state. I did cook pasta and all for 5 min, but burn lite kept appearing and I kept adding more and more water. I had even coated the pot liner with vegetable oil, as suggested. I won’t use pork meatballs anymore. The consistency was rubbery, though they looked cooked and tasted as if they were throughly cooked. I even checked them with a meat thermometer. I had also used GF pasta and it seemed a bit over cooked. I’m wondering if I should nuke the meatballs first or sauté them in the IP, then add the pasta and sauces. Looks like your way worked well. I just don’t want to see that burn light again!
R Cole I put the meatballs in frozen and make sure that the liquid in the bottom. I have found that the sauce and noodles sometimes won’t let the liquid get to the bottom. Also, I’ve found that some of the bottom meatballs get a little more brown than the rest.
Thanks for this video, Rodney! Would it make any difference to the taste if I were to saute the frozen meatballs in the pot first, and then add the pasta and sauce and water? Or do they come out the same either way?
+Sarah St. John I've not tried to sauté them first, but I think it could only add to the flavor. We are usually in a rush when we make this one. It's a great last minute go to meal!! LOL
Are the meatballs you used fully cooked before they were frozen? I buy raw ones at the store and then freeze them. Will mine cook in this dish or do I need to thaw them and cook them before putting them in?
Question: when setting the pressure time… do you set for “less, normal or more”? I’m going to try this recipe but am not quite sure to set for less, normal or more.
My unit says NOT to put frozen meat or fish in pressure cooker yet the Cosori videos show them putting frozen meatballs in the cooker.SMH. Ready to try my first batch. I however will boil my noodles separate. Nice video, short and sweet. Thanks for the tips.
My wife likes her noodles really soft, none of that al'dente cooked stuff. Would you say the penne was well done, or would I need to cook it longer? Thanks...
I used the rice/risotto button and I did it for 9 minutes I added more pasta 24 oz, frozen meatballs, 1 lg can sauce 2 cans of water and 2 cans of diced tomato's. It turned out good. Just add enough water to cover pasta is how I did it.
+Karen Littlefield Yes. I am going to make a video for ground meat soon. You thaw the meat before you brown and drain it. Otherwise, you will have one big brick of cooked meat that has to be broken up after cooking.
scott watts I use the quick release, but it doesn't matter too much because we've set it before and let it cycle to keep warm until we are ready to eat.
We cooked it with the ricotta cheese and mozzarella cheese last night. We cooked it nine minutes and did a quick release. It was better than any baked ziti!!
scott watts we use 8 minutes, but it depends on the noodles and how you like them. The longer you cook them they get more mushy, but thicker noodles require more cook time.
u know how to be there fir your wife n child as a dather ,u know how toctrwat your son daughter n how to be q dather n husband , you know how to keep your wife very happy n in a beautiful home with a power Presure cooker,

You are the ONLY ONE that did a video on what i was looking for, thank you so much!
This was the first recipe I made in my new instant pot. It was yummy in my tummy.
I will be making this tomorrow for my family. I love simple meals like this!
I like the added commentary in the background :)
Thanks for sharing! Made this today...quick, easy and delicious. :)
Thanks for sharing. I’ll be making this tonight for dinner! I been looking for something new to make in my IP. New subscriber!
Looks so good. I will try in my Instant Pot. Thanks

Yum yum thank you for sharing!!!
You're the man! This was super fast and tasty.
Richard Wype very happy that you enjoyed it!!
I make this all the time in mine, my kids love it. Sometimes I add mushrooms bell peppers and at the end I add cheese
It turned out fantabulous!
+Denise Grisham Way cool! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

No problem. This is one of my go to meals when we haven't planned a meal or need to make one in a hurry.
omg thank you for sharing I'll be doing this today :D
AWESOME!!!
I will be making this soon and I hope you still make recipe videos
this is our second time doing this it is delicious!
Hey great vid! New single dad and can't cook for shit this helped out tremendously.
I'm glad that I could help.
Ya the best . Thank you ♥️😊
Thank you for this recipe!! I did it and it was awesome!!! I am learning to use my new electric pressure cooker and this was very helpful, my husband and my daughter loved it!!
I'm glad you enjoyed it. This is one of my favorites when we are in a rush to get dinner cooked.
+Rodney Rucks do you have more pressure cooker recipes?
+Carolina Parrado I do. I'm sorry that I haven't posted an new videos lately. I will try to post more soon.
I just purchased a electric pressure cooker I'm going to cook this; this weekend. Last Sunday I cooked some stuff I watched on CZcams and turned out great.Thank you for making this video.I'll let you know how it turns out; HOOAH! From a DogFace.
I am fixing this tonight with my new pressure cooker. I couldn't find the recipe from the infomercial and ran up on your video. Thanks for sharing!
+Denise Grisham I hope you enjoy it.
I couldn't either! I did a search and happened upon this video. Thank you so much, Rodney!
LeahMarie Reynolds You are welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Exactly how I found this too!! Thank you so much!
Instead of water, you could use beef broth...that would really make it rich. But it really does look yummie!
Easy as pie! TY
Thanks so much! One of my quick dinner just got even quicker. :) Have you used regular spaghetti noodles or do the thicker pastas hold up better?
good work
I just took my Instant pot out of the box and it ready for its Christening.
I'll know in about 10 minutes or so if mine is as good as yours looked.
You need more Instant Pot vids on your channel. I'll try the other 3 as well.
We have used the spaghetti noodles, but we usually just use what is in the pantry. All of the noodles seem to cook fine in the pressure cooker.
Rodney Rucks z
Thank you for all the support we really appreciate it
Thank you. I just bought a power cooker and that is what I am going to make for dinner.
+Cross Parker You are welcome! I hope you enjoy it. This has been a life saver when we are in a rush for dinner!
I think that it is the cook time select button on your power pressure cooker xl.
Making it right now - thanks so much for taking the time to make the video! Just curious, do you have a blog or facebook page for recipes, or anything like that?

The machine in this video has the manual cook button. The machine I am currently using, we use the meat button to cook the pasta.
New to your channel & to pressure cooking. Enjoyed the vid. I hope you can please help me with a question. Is filling only half way the key to cooking pasta successfully. Love this receipe! I add 1 tsp of beef broth, 1 tsp of diced garlic, 2 tsp of diced parsley and 2 TBS of sugar, add fresh parm when done. Amazing!

Thanks for the quick response! :-O I've looked at your other recipes and they look good too. Please feel free to add many, many more!
+Sarah St. John Thank you. I hope to start posting more videos soon. I'm glad you have enjoyed the ones I've posted so far.
Are the meatballs you used fully cooked before they were frozen? I buy raw ones at the store and then freeze them. Will mine cook in this dish or do I need to thaw them and cook them before putting them in?
Marcia Lightsey I use fully cooked meatballs, but the frozen raw ones should cook in 10 minutes.
Great video, does the pasta get mushy?
The Backyard Griller only if you let it stay under pressure too long.
Question: when setting the pressure time… do you set for “less, normal or more”? I’m going to try this recipe but am not quite sure to set for less, normal or more.
I would try the normal setting for the first try.
My unit says NOT to put frozen meat or fish in pressure cooker yet the Cosori videos show them putting frozen meatballs in the cooker.SMH. Ready to try my first batch. I however will boil my noodles separate. Nice video, short and sweet. Thanks for the tips.
easy to make but some noodles stuck together next time I will add some oil to see if that might help
+Leah Wiebe you might want to give it all a good stir before cooking also.
I'm really new to cooking. How many oz's is the Large Jar of pasta sauce?
Cincy SDaddy It is 45 oz.
Would the cooking time be different if you use spaghetti with the frozen meatballs?
Carol McArdell that is the cook time with the meatballs frozen. That is what makes pressure cookers seem like magic!! 😀
My wife likes her noodles really soft, none of that al'dente cooked stuff. Would you say the penne was well done, or would I need to cook it longer? Thanks...
Randy Warren I think that it will be fine for her, but you can always add a few minutes.
Rodney, I have a 5 qt Culinary gourmet brand pressure cooker. Will that work? You said you have a 6 qt. I just want to make sure I have enough room.
Chuck Roast I think this should work for your pressure cooker. We usually have plenty of room left in ours.
Did anyone else find it odd some of the meatballs were on the top when you opened it?
Yep
Boiling water under pressure tends to move things around.
how long would it take for just frozen meatballs and sauce? should I add any water if I do it that way? thank you
+schen541 I've not cooked it that way before. I would say about 8 mins with 1/2 cup water should work fine.
Is there a you tube video on how to use the different buttons? The manual is seriously lacking this information
I need it for the plain power cooker . Not the XL
What button do I use to make this? I just got my pressure cooker xl 8 qt and cant seem to get it right.
+Tallie Fine I would like to know the same. If you find out, please share.
I think that it is the cook time button on the power pressure cooker xl.
I used the rice/risotto button and I did it for 9 minutes I added more pasta 24 oz, frozen meatballs, 1 lg can sauce 2 cans of water and 2 cans of diced tomato's. It turned out good. Just add enough water to cover pasta is how I did it.
you to
Why do you need a button? He said 8 mins!
The camera person made me dizzy, lol. Love your kitchen.
Cuppy Cakey thank you. We are working on Derek's camera skills. This was his first video. He was 12 at the time.
Aww, I didn't know, but maybe using a tripod would work?
Cuppy Cakey LOL. We've got one now. He's getting a little better filming also.
Rodney Rucks That's awesome! :D
I have not use bottled sauce since I was 12 years old. I'm going to have to figure out what this measures to be able to use my own marinara. :-)
Elizabeth Shaw it is a 45 oz jar.
Rodney Rucks thank you so much for your quick reply. :-)
Elizabeth Shaw no problem 😁
Rodney Rucks ;-)
I want to use.venison burger meat (?) to cook spaghetti in pressure cooker, do I need to thaw the meat put first?
+Karen Littlefield Yes. I am going to make a video for ground meat soon. You thaw the meat before you brown and drain it. Otherwise, you will have one big brick of cooked meat that has to be broken up after cooking.
What is the total oz of the spaghetti sauce do you use. Thanks Also if you want to use spaghetti noodles what size box
scott watts a 45oz sauce jar and 16oz box of noodles.
When the cook time is up do you release the pressure yourself or let the machine do it itself or does it matter.i am going to make this today
scott watts I use the quick release, but it doesn't matter too much because we've set it before and let it cycle to keep warm until we are ready to eat.
Excellent meal it came out great
scott watts I'm glad you enjoyed it!!
If you wanted to use half the ingredients, would cooking time still be the same?
Yes. I would use the same cook time
Thanks for the video. Would help if you back up and had the pot and you both in the video so you don’t have to move camera up and down.
Can I add fresh onions and peppers at the same time?
Shirley Wagner that should be fine.
Hi Rodney, can you add Ragota Cheese to your recipe and cook for 8 minutes? Thanks, Len.
Leonard Doucette yes you can. I'm going to have to try that myself. I just wish that I had thought of that first! 😂😂😂
We cooked it with the ricotta cheese and mozzarella cheese last night. We cooked it nine minutes and did a quick release. It was better than any baked ziti!!
What weight is the bags of meatballs? What is a "big" jar? How many oz? Please use sizes, thanks. Great recipe otherwise.
Is it ok if my meatballs are raw? I did flash freeze them
Amy Himmel if they are frozen, you’ll have to add about 8-10 minutes
Try adding spices and or a little wine next time.
Thank you. That sounds good.
I noticed that some people had to add more time so what is the safe time to use.
scott watts we use 8 minutes, but it depends on the noodles and how you like them. The longer you cook them they get more mushy, but thicker noodles require more cook time.
With the meatballs are frozen Does that add water to the pressure cooker as well
scott watts yes, the meatballs add liquid, but the pasta absorbs it all.
I have a different pressure cooker than you does the time matter or it doesn't matter
scott watts it should be close on the times.
I thought you said you were making "Easy one pot pressure cooker spaghetti with frozen meatballs", and then you go and make Rotini.
u know how to be there fir your wife n child as a dather ,u know how toctrwat your son daughter n how to be q dather n husband , you know how to keep your wife very happy n in a beautiful home with a power Presure cooker,
how many ounces is a "Large" jar of pasta
45 oz. of pasta sauce.
Thought this was the guy from modern family
Can you add cheese to this?
Yes. Cheese is always a good add on!!
this guy loves his food, look at that pantry, it's packed with food lol
Lekter he has a household of 6, looks like a normal pantry for a family
yeah so shut up
what measurements when cooking for 2 nancy
+Nancy Pizor I'm sorry. I'm not sure how to cook for two. We have six people living in our house.
You just half the recipe, or even less. cook it the same amount of time. The meatballs still need so much time as does the pasta. I hope this helps.
The video shakes too much and makes me a bit dizzy. Otherwise, it is good.
If you are using rotini, why are you calling the video spaghetti and meatballs? You might as well call it lasagna and meat balls, macaroni and meat bals, fusilli and meat balls. Or you could change the title to a generic pasta and meat balls or a more accurate rotini and meat balls.
None the less, looks good and thank you for posting it.
Eric Dufresne good point
That really cooks frozen meatballs in 8 minutes?
Lisa Stamper yes, but it takes the pressure cooker about 15-20 minutes to build up to pressure. I will never make spaghetti the old way again.
No salt, no pepper, no nothing 🙄🙄🙄
I just fell out !!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Sorry but, you either need to train your camera man or get a new one. Feel like I'm on the ocean 🌊!😷
Ur not a real navy seal.
Dennis Morris I never said that I was.
It is obvious you live in a state which has legalized marijuana!!!
Add some pre-cooked marijuana to it.
trying it tonight
Marcy Patterson I hope that you enjoy it.
