    Thanks to ShyGuyXXL for helping me find the right instruments!
    This Soundtrack is created by modifying the soundfont with uncompressed instruments from Wario Ware Inc. Mega Party Games!
    These soundtracks are very experimental, however, and may have some accuracy issues.

      You know wario is serious when he's not even taking money, the guy practically lives for it.
      Jojo part 3 anime came out way after this game though, so if anything the jojo track would be the one referencing this kind of music.

      its crazy how the GBA's soundchip's compression would be an awesome pedal for a guitar. Would love to have it as a plugin for digital instruments.

      @@scottoleson1997 if I'm not mistaken, the compression just cuts out the higher and lower frequency portions of the sample. It might be as simple as locking 2 wah wah pedals together and making one of them work in the other direction.

      @@ohshinofun fact, the gba didn't really have a "sound chip" per se, all it really had was a buffer that was pretty much directly output. This is means that basically all handling of sound needs to be done in software at the expense of cpu cycles, which is why samples used in gba games are usually so low quality - higher quality samples take more cycles to work with, leaving less for everything else the game needs to do.

    Maybe because I want it to sound like I remember it when I played it as a child.

      One thing that doesn't help for some of these uncompressed versions, is the instruments don't seem to sustain long enough. Example: The strings in Curious Factory.

      More reverb would definitely help for this particular song. Although I admit there's also a grittier sound to the compressed version that isn't present here.

      Wario Land 4's OST was definitely made with the GBA's horrific sound limitations in mind. This sounds off.

    • @ijustreview
      @ijustreview Před 3 lety +8

      Not at all. Remember, these songs were made FOR the shitty GBA sound chip. Nobody was ever supposed to hear it like this. If you go through some of the tracks with lyrics, you can tell they knew nobody would ever understand what they were saying.

    The instruments are not 100% accurate. The organ used in this rendition (beginning at 1:10) is General MIDI, not the GBA soundfont.
