What a great intro and tribute to a legendary broadcaster!! Few possess the talent to tell a story - on the fly - in such a way that if you close your eyes, you can envision EVERYTHING that's going on - Bob Cole was such a guy!! His enthusiasm through every play - building as the game went on - perfection! For over 40 years of my life, he was the voice of hockey - Hockey Night In Canada - every Saturday night...Oh Baby...RIP Bob!
Leafs Bob Cole "tribute" on their score clock screen was pathetic. It was like he was just a "Leaf" announcer with nothing else. Such a pathetic display for such an icon. I'm not surprised, doesnt matter what that franchise does its a dumpster fire. Most pathetic franchise in pro sports.
Ah come on.. it was a Leafs game so they are going to show Leafs goals. I’m a Bruins fan and was fine with it. I’m more disappointed they cut off the applause and that Leafs fans weren’t cheering louder showing their admiration for Bob. I don’t think a lot of the fans there even knew who he was.
