Are you describing the lines in coils refrigerant runs through? Then yes this is what it is meant to be used on. I wouldn't recommend patching a charged line though.

Yes. If you have to braze copper to aluminum, use heat shrink over the joint once you’re done.

Al-Cop is a flat, flux channel rod not a round, flux core rod.
