Looks great Nate! Corn on the cob is a good addition. The grandkids will definitely like those.

I absolutely love elote. A taco truck by my office makes the best elote cups. I can't wait to try this. Fantastic Nate.

Literally drooling in anticipation of making this. Would have never thought to combine these two icons of the backyard, but what genius! Guess cooking with CJ is really paying off! 🤣

Not bad! Surprised you didn't cross hatch the dogs, love that little bit of crunchy texture it adds. If you ever can get your hands on Roseda Farms (based out of Baltimore) hot dogs, I highly recommend. I'll never eat a Ball Park or Oscar Meyer again.
Way too quiet without CJ lol

DUDE! That dog was a serious size. That said, since it's almost a brat or sausage, I like a brat roll, hollowing out some of the inside bread and making room for the dog and MORE sauce to fit inside...YES! Nice job there, Nate!

Thanks Nate - Nothin' like a good ol' dog! - Did you kick CJ off of your set? - lol
...back in Montreal (...when I was much younger...) steamed hot dogs on simple steamed white buns were a staple. - I still make them occasionally - relish, mustard, onion and sauerkraut - Cheers!

If you want to elevate that dog with another layer of crunch, use the slotdog to cut your hot dogs before griddling or another elevation of flavor try deep frying it after using the slotdog. Gives a nice flavor and superb crunch with all those cavities to hold more toppings!!!

I thought that too, but for even more texture, crumble some Cheetos on top. The Mexican places in California top their Elote with Jalapeño Cheetos.

I wonder if the dogs are cooked enough? Maybe need more char and cracking, but of course many folks dont like that.
