@@tounzer8583 pcsx2 is the way to go dude, the game really benefits from higher resolutions, i can more easily reach 15-20 burnout chains just because i can see the distant cars better and avoid crashes more often
My favorite part is definitely from 0:46 to 1:15. That guitar riff is practically a staple in my head of what any destructive, arcade racing game theme song should sound like. it hands down describes the level of intensity you feel before any race in a game of Burnout. And I always equate it to the the cars flying down a crowded street at 100+ mph in the menus of Burnout Revenge. The focused intensity that comes with with handling a car at that speed all while you leave a wake of utter chaos and destruction in your path.

I remember finding out this game wasn't made by Criterion Games when I bought it, was a little bummed out. But I was surprised how well they were able to bring a tribute to the older games, including boost chaining to crashbreakers. It felt odd at times but I can honestly say the selection of cars, tracks, gameplay and soundtrack kept it fresh.
Criterion was busy with Black and Burnout Paradise. EA UK just recycle the available features from first 2 burnout like Boost chain that 3 and Revenge don’t have. Too bad they cut crash events. But the intro song was unexpected.
This is my favorite game in the series. I love how once you get a full boost you could keep boosting the entire race from that point on if you played perfectly.
i remember there was a race in dominator with the dominator prototype car that you have to be in full boost the whole duration to get gold, it was amazing! even though I had to make a lot of retries because I keep crashing lol

Mine is a title called Burnout Revolution, a huge amount of game modes in single player, vehicle customization, set up your own custom events against AI opponents, have a lot of vehicle models to play with, all with the same gameplay as Burnout 3 Takedown, and you have a winner!

Anyone else remember when there was no homework on Fridays? I miss those days... 8 years sounds slow initially, but it really isn't. Time flies! I remember having to write my name on a piece of paper to use the family PS2 to play Gran Turismo 2 like it was yesterday!

Burnout has been my most fav games all the time. Knowing that I have my PS2 with this game lying on my shelf with memory card and controller makes me start playing again

I don't think the burnout theme is in the actual game - I think he means that the song sounds similar to NFS The Run's Main theme, which it does - but it's not the same.
Dominator was by far the most frustrating game in the series for me. Even though it ran in 480p, 16:9 widescreen and had a kick ass soundtrack, the gameplay simply didn't work for me. It all boiled down to the fact that it wasn't developed by criterion... still not a bad game though
I had fun with Burnout Dominator but handling sometimes sucked and also the Crashing and that you sometimes fall from Track was very bad but it was later to be topped by NFS 2015
Totally man, l did not knew anything about the Dev team but as more than l forced myself to like the... l just couldnt... Still it has hands down a sick reall rock soundtrack that carved my musical taste since a kid and makes me proud, because if it wasnt for Burnout, l would be one of those that suport main stream music just because its main stream or dont know better :3 l think we can all relate to what l said =D
AHEM...this theme is a hybrid of the Burnout 2/Revenge 360 theme and "Ocean Drive (Boost Variant)" from the same game (I think Burnout Paradise called that theme "Destroyer Mix" or something) with an extended intro and bridge sections.
I played this game a lot, but when I hear it again a decade later, it sounds like a song that would be in the Beta version and another song would replace this one.

Keep in mind this was a PS2/PSP exclusive, even though the X360 and PS3 both came out already. Honestly this game is still fun to play to this day.

I had mine mapped to shoulder buttons as brake and throttle. Felt more natural to me.

Anyone else remember when there was no homework on Fridays? I miss those days... 8 years sounds slow initially, but it really isn't. Time flies! I remember having to write my name on a piece of paper to use the family PS2 to play Gran Turismo 2 like it was yesterday!

Dominator was by far the most frustrating game in the series for me. Even though it ran in 480p, 16:9 widescreen and had a kick ass soundtrack, the gameplay simply didn't work for me. It all boiled down to the fact that it wasn't developed by criterion... still not a bad game though
mazda9624 it was. Burnout Legend was not made by Criterion game however.

I had fun with Burnout Dominator but handling sometimes sucked and also the Crashing and that you sometimes fall from Track was very bad but it was later to be topped by NFS 2015
Totally man, l did not knew anything about the Dev team but as more than l forced myself to like the... l just couldnt... Still it has hands down a sick reall rock soundtrack that carved my musical taste since a kid and makes me proud, because if it wasnt for Burnout, l would be one of those that suport main stream music just because its main stream or dont know better :3 l think we can all relate to what l said =D

AHEM...this theme is a hybrid of the Burnout 2/Revenge 360 theme and "Ocean Drive (Boost Variant)" from the same game (I think Burnout Paradise called that theme "Destroyer Mix" or something) with an extended intro and bridge sections.
