I am so glad you have a lot of followers. Because you do these casting demos and put out such good info, so if someone wants to get a new rod or reel the have alot of info to make an educated purchase and be happy with it and injoy their fishing adventures more. Thank you for your educational videos. Be blessed. My friend.
Thank you very much! I hope these would definitely be helpful to the fishing community :)
Must have a drag clicker!!!!!
Click click click!
Good video, been excited for this one! I would say a few years ago I would have preferred drag clickers but now that Im extremely comfortable with baitcasters I think on lite applications I would take drag clicks but anything but bfs I think no drag clicks, appreciate your videos man!
Thx man! I think some folks are moving towards less clicker for the non UL/L side like me! We shall see. So far some of the seasoned bfs anglers are the same way. Some still want it. Some want it on everything lol. That said, it tough to be a company and cater to everyone!
Hey Jimbo, Great Review !!! TW-80 (w/BFS spool), Alphas 800-S (factory shallow spool), & Salamandura SV TW 70... I own all three and that's directly related to your reviews/tests !! I added a drag clicker alarm to the TW-80, & the 800-S, of course the Salamandura has a factory clicker !! I couldn't be happier with my selections. the TW-80 is on a Phenix Feather 7' 1" FTX-71L (light) rod, the 800-S is on a Fenwick Elite Bass 6' 10" m/l rod, and the Salamandura is on a Fenwick Techna PX 6' 10" m/l rod. these 3 combos offer a lot more versatility than one might think !! Anyways, keep up the Great Work !! And Thanks !! for all the insight !!!
Thx! Daiwa got great reels. I hope more ppl try the alphas SV tw 800s!
Jimmy you are everywhere, now as new Daiwa endorser! 😂
Lol, I am working with other folks behind the scenes. But can't share yet due to NDA that I signed. It's great not to be tied down via a brand!
AWESOME! 👍
Thx
I prefer the smoothness of non drag clicker reels...
Thx for sharing
Nice comparison and education to help people make an educated buying decision. I myself prefer Shimano BFS reels for hooking into decent 5-7LB FL Bucketmouth's and they have smooth clicking drag systems. I personally get jacked up when that clicker smoothly buzzes as those bigger Bass make runs and I love it. I do think if I were to get a Daiwa reel I would prefer the Tatula BFS BF70 however I would want a clicker, also realizing it is a personal choice.
Thanks, love to share what I find so that folks can decide what they wanna get! Also I try to let brands know what the community want as well!
I would go with Salamandura and I like the drag clicker. When I BFS I tend to go UL. I rarely cast anything over 1/8. I tend to stick to 1/16 and under. If I am fishing with lures or setups over 1/8 I tend to use any kind of bait caster. I agree with you on the uses for the clicker on the Salamandura. When I am using light line and lures I like the drag clicker feedback so I can finesse/fight the fish better ran than crank/winch the fish in with a non BFS reel. It just comes down to what style or mood you want to fish.
Don't forget location as well. Distance could be something someone may need to catch fish in specific waters!
They're simply different reels for different markets. The solution is to get both, haha. Drag clicker is nice to have but I would be fine either way.
Exactly, that's why I wanted to clear things up. It wasn't just a simple rebranding and taking away the drag clicker. It's more than that! I can use both reels for what they are made for indeed! I fish many styles and I can see where both would shine.
@@rawrfishing I have a Salamandura Air TW arriving soon, haha. My collection keeps growing. Can't wait to get it out to our trout streams.
Enjoy and have fun! Spring is here and lotsa fishing to do!
Thanks for showing the detailed difference in the inductor position. I wonder how the Tatula SV 70 compares with the Salamandura SV 70 inductor position? I also feel my Salamandura 70 blow up easily but I don't have the Tatula 70 to compare to. Another great video man!
U are welcome! I should check the spools lol if the SV TW 70! Lol
Needs a drag clicker on the Daiwa Tatula BFS 70. I want a Saltist 70 then just get an after market spool for BFS, probably be a good ideal and more bulletproof than both the reels in this video.
U got an aftermarket bfs spool recommendation for these reels that got dynamic braking?
lol new drinking game every time rawr says mmmmm k you drink a shot
How many shots u drank and what drink did u have with u watch time u play? Sake?
If the 2 reels are so close in components, are the drag discs and clicker interchangeable, to where someone could buy the part and install it to make their drag click?
Yes! It's likely same internals. The question is, where do u get the parts for the China reel?
@@rawrfishing did it come with a parts diagram with part numbers? Theres gotta be a way to locate one.
@@FreedomFishing yes but where can u get it from? Daiwa China is not gonna sell us anything lol...
@@rawrfishing possibly plat co.
I doubt it unless the Japanese Tatula BF 70 will have a drag clicker. But if they can get Daiwa China and Japan stuff.. Would be amazing!
Thanks for the vid its crazy the diffrence in casting . ...Lol 😂 those young kids are little booger factories thats a fact. I get sick everytime im around my girls sister and her kids.
thx man! yeah those buggers are bug carriers and spreaders haha
Diawa Tatula BF70 or the Ark Gravity BFS for 1/8 and up, Thanks
Bf70 since spool is larger.. It will cast further for those who wanna throw heavier lures. But how heavy are we talking about?
Up to 1/4 ounce.
No more than 1/4 ounce.@@rawrfishing
The bf70 would do better for distance a tad bit, but ark should be able to do that if distance isn't an issue.
Alternatively, the Daiwa Alphas SV TW 800S!
So what line, rod, lure weights do you use your alpha 800s for? I've own it for close to 2 years I want to like it but it's a noisy caster.
Right now it's on my Cashion icon salt finesse with 1 gou line. Last used via surf fishing
I throw 1/8th to 1/4 oz max jigs plus some sort of plastic... Usually fluke style
Are the Tatula bf70 and tw sv 70 different, or the same reel?
Same frame, but parts slightly different
Daiwa should offer people the choice on the drag clicker or NOT like Kast King did with Zypher BFS reel.
Kastking originally didn't give the drag clicker to the zephyr without my intervention. At that time, hundreds of silent reels were available. So they offered both until no more silent zephyr were available.
Kind of like a Toyota Supra and BMW Z4....sane engine and body just rebrand it. BMW has some luxury interiors.
Precisely!
Coming this summer.
Daiwa: civil war.
Lol pros VS consumers
Did u paint your salamandura black ?
Came like that
Hey we need clickers!!!!
@@JeramAnglers tell em Daiwa USA folks! Voice out! I will talk to a few at icast... I will show em all these comments voting for clickers!
Hate drag clicker only use is not paying attention to a live bait reel waiting for sound of fish taking bait.
I fish to have peace and serenity not annoying sounds.
Love the color of salamandura hate the tatula color.
Hate the salamandura costing more
Not sure why bfs people using such high test line.. .2
The Tatula need some spicing up for colors huh?
Tatula tw80 or tatula tw100
80 for ML, M and MH, 100 for M, MH and H
drag clicker all the way
Thx for letting us know!
