It 's sad that this was their last show. You can see that Nirvana played their hardest and with so much passion up until the very end.
Not really. Sometimes they did even in the 93-94 shows but if you check their earlier shows like 1991 and before, you see kurt still had so much more enthusiasm and energy in himself then. Somehow he lost that in the later shows he became kinda bored and frustrated imo. So sad, he was the biggest musical if not overall artistic talent in the last 20+ years.

This is the band that got me hooked on rock music.
The band that got me in to music period. At my school in 1994 girls liked music and boys liked football and this 14 year old had no interest in music at all until someone gave me a tape of In Utero. I was hooked there and then only for my friend to tell me a week later when I couldn't stop talking about Nirvana that there was no more Nirvana because the singer had killed himself 4 months earlier. That bitter sweet moment of discovering something for the first time only to also discover that it's gone :/

The first 3 songs are on video, but the rest of them are on CZcams as recordings.
It is a shame it wasn't recorded on video.

Mr. WildChild 01 V4. Yeh unfortunately due to electrical issues during the show a lot of the cameras stopped after the first few songs, so only audio exists
I've read a lot about how miserable Kurt was on this last tour and how done he was with it all. It's amazing knowing that to see how much he still gives to this performance. If this is his version of phoning it in, it really speaks to his level of artistry and what a high bar he set for himself. Love you always Kurt.
Yea it shows. I've only watched a few of these and he's so lifeless. You would've been better prob just staying home rather than attend these shows lol what an insult to his fans. Can't fault him tho due to his situation.

I was a kid when Kurt died. I watched every single news station that played over and over about his death. I cried for so long. I do not understand this magic he has. It is amazing and complex.

He looks very focus and determined in this video. Knowing that he had bronchitis and he sang, I admire his dedication. Still, I think he really needed a long break from singing and music. His health wasn't at its best.

It is just so sad that we lost Kurt. He had just touched so many people;s hearts. And, it sure seems that he had NO IDEA just how much value that he had when it came to his fans and even his family.
Anybody who has experienced the death of a "loved one" who had been family, or a close friend knows that it can be totally confusing as to just WHY that person had chosen to actually "End their life". We can all GUESS, and go on about trying to put together a story that makes sense to us. But,of course, we all just be guessing.

I watched a documentary and you can clearly see that kurt was unhappy with his life and he had already made several suicide attempts. why would he attempt killing himself if it was actually only courtney killing him?? xD

Even if Courtney did kill Kurt, his time was still running out... His heroin usage was becoming much worse. You can see right here in his last concert how much it was starting to affect him. He was getting extremely skinny, much more than before, you can see the soars all over his face and arms. His energy and passion just weren't the same. Extremely sad to see. Wish it didn't have to be that way. R.I.P. Kurt.

A little bit throughout the day to keep me going. Nobody noticed. Until it all spiralled out of control..only way to understand a junkie is to be one. Dope sickness rots your body and mind. Lucky for me i survived. Been clean for 3 years

By early 1994 Nirvana had found their consistency as a band, almost every show was very professional in a way, including this last one in Germany just a month before Kurt's suicide. His dissatisfaction towards his career and band was clearly influenced by his drug addiction, was he clean at that point Nirvana would have gone on and on, that's for sure. Drugs destroy all the beautiful things in life.
except without drugs he would've probably never made a bunch of great songs to begin with

Seems weird to me that they would only record parts of this show. Another is most Nirvana concerts are caught in their entirety yet this one is only a few videos and then the rest is in audio.

Judging by the camera position (by the sound desk), it looks like a "news access" recording.
Same rules as photographers in the pit - first three songs you can take photos, then that's your lot.
So I imagine all the footage there is of this show is already out there. Sorry to disappoint.

His last 2 or 3 shows, including one televised on Italian TV, were after he received the news about Courtney and Billy Corgan doing the dirty on him in London and after his overdose in Rome, they were markedly different from anything previously on the tour and he would quit songs half way through, throw his guitar around and play songs without singing. He didn't give a shit.
Those editted bits are now rarer than hen's teeth, if they still exist. It was this meltdown that made his manager give him an ultimatum and he quit the tour and the band there and then and flew home on March 4th where he would play hide and seek with everyone for a month before dying on April 5th if memory serves me right. The last Nirvana biography I read was in like 1997 so dates and shows may be a few days out.
I believe he killed himself, he had just had his heart torn out, but if there is any truth behind the murder theories then it would be down to the fact that at some point during that last month he was forced to sit down and talk to Courtney and all he said to her was "You are about to be divorced, whore." which would be Kurt turning off the tap under her lucrative, leaky cash cow.
Personally I still think those who knew him know the truth and those who loved him would not tolerate a free Courtney in this world if there was even the tiniest doubt in their minds that she killed him. Dave Grohl would strangle her with his own hands, ffs.
