  • Punch presses are the primary source for punching round and irregular shaped holes in flat sheet metal stock. Part of the Fundamental Manufacturing Processes Video Series, this program examines the machines that perform punching, such as the single-station punch press and turret punch press, as well as the multi-purpose ironworker.
The turret punch press segment looks at the versatile turret punch press and the selection, shapes, and types of punch press tooling. Operations such as nibbling are featured, as well as a look at special punch press tooling including multi-tools and special rotary adapters. Turret punch press accessories that enable it to perform a greater variety of work are also featured. These accessories include a plasma cutting torch, a laser cutting attachment, and automated material loading and unloading equipment.
