How to Masterbatch Your Oils for Soap Making 🛢️ Cold Process Soap Making

    Master batching your oil in soap making is preparing all of your oil needed for ten logs at one time then mix and pour off want you need per batch when your making one log. Not measuring 10 each oil out ten times, but one time. So your doing this ahead of time and then using your oil mixture as needed per batch. This is a time saving technique, to increase profit and to work more efficiently. This is why the first two videos that I did was about master batching.

This way you can place your bulk oils with their bands in a barrel without having to do so much lifting. Then, you raise the table and leave it at normal height to dispense oils as you need to. Just a thought because you do such heavy lifting in all you do.

    Hello Soap Gal!
    Thank you for your video…I was wondering if I can’t get your opinion? I was wondering if you can suggest a big stock pot for masterbatching? I don’t have a studio. I will be using my home kitchen. If I work from my kitchen how many soaps do you think it is possible to make in a day? Is it possible to make about 500 batches a day? • @TheSoapGal

      Instead of stock pot use a tumbler cariband - it’s not about batches a day but about how many bars you need and scale your recipe and mold to that. The masterbatch depends on how many I’m making for

    Quick question...why don't you masterbatch your shea butter along with your other oils & butters?

    • @TheSoapGal
      @TheSoapGal  Před 5 lety

      Just the Right Size my master batch oils are olive, coconut, castor that I use in every recipe then I add different butters or oils to customize my base oils for my customers recipes.

      How do you calculate your percentages for your lye water then? Because each oil needs a different lye solution in my understanding??

      @@TheSoapGal I mean, i gues you answered it in the video a little later... all coconut oil ive ever seen is solid and yours was liquid but i guess you said its heated. Is that correct? It would be solid if your drums werent warmed? Thanks so much! Enjoying your videos!
