We've been teasing a car that has arrived at @TheShmuseum although not belonging to @Shmee150, something that's actually really very, very special. It's now time to pull back those covers but first, let's head to Godleman's to collect the Clio V6 from a few fixes, update on the first fix electrics for the mezzanine build, share a few new goodies, and ultimately see this car.
It is in fact a Lotus Elise S1 Sport 190, a very rare car of which only 31 were made, and finished in a full exposed carbon fibre body. Wearing the plate F1RST, it's actually the first car of our friend who owns F1NAL; the last Elise Cup 250 Final Edition - and a truly special pair all things considered. These cars were originally officially track only but could be registered through the UK IVA process and despite it being a Lotus Elise and the oldest car in the garage, it's the only one with a full exposed carbon body!
A special thanks goes to Vincero Collective for sponsoring today's video, be sure to check out their offers from watches and sunglasses to jewellery. You can get 20% off with free shipping worldwide by using the promo code 'SHMEE150' at checkout too: www.vincerocollective.com/shme...
Thanks for watching!
I cannot wait to take this out for a drive! What a cool car to be resident at The Shmuseum
LOTUS EMIRA OR MCLAREN ARTURA
Maybe Alpine A110 S
This is the main channel, right?Great success
we still need a rev off now that the 500 is there. between the v8s and then do a poll but also do a rev off with everything eventually have james rev the Mercedes .
I did not see that coming lol
Tim on his own Clio: "don't rev it on a cold start!"
Tim on his friend's Lotus; *revs it on a cold start* lol
"Don't rev it from cold".... I always appreciate your mechanical sympathy Tim, I love that you appreciate your cars mechanically as well.
Very much appreciate it from Tim
It was so funny to watch Tom run to the clio to try and drive it home
Overly cautious if u ask me. The warm engine thing is a myth....see engineering explained...
@trai jones That's not what we're talking about, you shouldn't rev an engine when it's just started, you should drive it moderately until it gets up to temp. We're not talking about warming it up until it's hot. I know the video you're talking about, it has nothing to do with this.
Yeah and then he revs the cold Elise himself. The amount of RPM sounded about the same. Nice consistency?
That Lotus is sweet! Does that mean you're the custodian of 2 very special Lotuses? Can't wait for the Emira to come, gotta take all 3 out for a spin when that happens!
I love how much the shmuseum is coming together
Thanks!
At the moment it still feels like a garage instead of a museum
I would love more than anything to see a proper Shmee losing his shit moment because he’s just so polite on camera that him losing it on someone would be either hilarious or frightening 😂.
I’d say he is quiet bossy and stuff can be only done his way !! Get that vibe from his videos
A perfectionist type
Agreed. Little man syndrome. Comes across as a bit of a knob at times. He does spoil this channel somewhat.
@@Blade1310 ye I prefer stradman and dde because he comes across sometimes very posh and boring and strict about his cars , I get he is the godfather of all this but I think he hasn’t moved on with crowd
Noticed in a few recent videos on the channel, seems to be a bit of a tone in his voice with comments to Tom and Brad on camera, like he’s making a point.
Do love the channel but him being away as much as he is this year has slowed progress in the shmuseum a lot - the guys are capable clearly of a lot more but get impression from that shmee is a bit of a control freak.
Lego Eiffel tower should be the centerpiece of the slot car track.
Have a look at coilover air cups. They go on top of coilovers so you can raise the car for bumps. Like what modern supercars have. but simpler and cheaper
man I love the content you guys are putting out :D Always a pleasure to watch.
Love all the new things you have gotten in at the museum
I love that the Transit van has like 8 cup holders and Tim puts his drink in the one compartment that isn't one, lol
Tom quoting Manny Koshbin "Great success " is the best 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I had the mark 1 Elise with a removable steering wheel which made entry much easier but unfortunately it eventually felt loose when connected and I had to have a fixed one fitted. The reason Tim could not start the car was because he did not disable the immobiliser which had to be done every time the car was switched off. Great car for a Sunday morning drive
That Lotus is really cool.
I would not have looked at it and thought it was dark carbon fiber.
I daily drove an Elise S1 back in the early noughties, you do perfect the getting in and out technique. Massively easier without the roof on hence my roof was always off unless it rained or snowed!
Very cool Lotus. And the fun guys are back together. 👍👍👍👍
Still feel we need another Classic Mini in the garage, Feel it's a must for any car collection.
Always great to get in from work to a video from you three
I should’ve commented, I thought it was an Elise S1 in the last video, I just didn’t realise how special it is! 🤩
Tim telling off Tom lol love it you go Tim!!
Getting in and out of an older Lotus is mostly practise.
Best advice is to step through the car. Just don't hang on any of the uprights (the window pillars or the soft top rails) as you can distort them. Also, try and avoid sitting on the sills.
You can either slide one leg in and forward whilst lowering yourself into the seat and then bring the other leg in or else try a crouch like you were pooping in the woods to get your bum into the seat and then bringing both legs around together over the sill.
Getting in isn't the tricky bit though. Try going on a long road trip in an early Elise and then getting out in a dignified manner... that's next-level stuff.
So nice the 1st an the last those cars look like there so fun to drive can't wait to see the video of you ripping around in it!
That, FIRST & FINAL, is EPIC!!
Another great video Tim, good to see the progress inside. By the way that wasn't the electrician's real ladder, that left years ago. It was his step-ladder 😂 . Regards, Bob M. South Wales
I like to think you are the 'Custodians' of the visiting cars in the collection.
On the V6, I am not a big fan of aftermarket radio but you should be able to change the color of the lights on the radio so they are the same color of the dash lights on the V6.
The Shmuseum Awesome Video I'm glad you guys put up Tim's Gumball Banners the way Tim wanted em and I think Tim's Friends Lotus Elise S1 190 is pretty cool and I can't wait to Tim's first drive in it and I'm glad there was more progress on the Shmezzanine Lighting
Hi guys, think Tim has spent too much time with the Stradman......😂😂🤦. Absolutely cool Elise too. My brother had an early one too and S1 exige.
Does Tim have a twin he is in Dubai now UK and a new video in Miami does the man ever relax and have a day off, I’m not complaining I love all the content just worried for him he never stops
So cool ! Love the original shape
the Tvr and the FIRST lotus together look awesome
Entertaining vid…nice to see Tim acting a bit silly…very funny
My Son and Myself are currently just over 2/3's building the Lego Titanic. At over 9k pcs its been a mega build.Lego is awesome
My only problem with that shape Clio is the wipers being the wrong way round. Other than that, I would love a V6 or even the 182
Put the Eiffel Tower with the slot car track.
That….tbh is the most cool car in that garage hands on!!!!
That’s a special car - I went through 4 Elise’s and that is a proper unicorn!
Love lotus cars, If I had to choose I'd take the final edition because of the orange and the slightly more practical. But it would be a hard choice given the first edition and full carbon. Both awesome cars, if I had the first edition and I think I'd have to have a little ramp to park it on so it'd be a little easier to get in and out of every time
Some lovely classics taking residence in the Shmuseum ❤ Where has the TVR come from I’ve missed the video
A focus ST swapped transit connect just got sold on doug demuros cars and bids. It was so well done
Question? Next year big Nurburging trip with all the new cars? Ford gt500, clio v6, zenvo, lotus and any other new arrivals?
That old lotus is such a cool car and to have at Shmuseum
Those Lotus' are very cool! And soon there'll be 3!
When is the Zenvo arriving?
I own a mk1 mx5 and I’m 6ft tall just gotta take it slow and aim to land just left of the centre(for rhd, which ever side the passenger seat is) then put my leg as far as possible to the centre of the car then struggle to cram my right leg in. But the Elise looks like an entirely new level…
Good luck getting in and out of it 😂
Say there Tim, you could put them on your Ceilings between the rafters vertical or horizontal.
I'm 6'5" with mobility issues and have had various mx5's & TVR's.
By far the easiest way to get in and out is to not have the rood on/up
15:45 😂we are proud of you too
Hahaha lovely how about removibg the roof to get in and out 😊👍
Have you considered to put a KW HLS-module on the Clio V6 to get over speed bumps?
Shmee, is that another MoonSwatch? Love
Shmee with these AD PLACEMEEENTTSSSSS XD
You need to change the placement of some of the blue cars, they seemed to have find each other
My parents own a lotus elise s1 160s (and an Alfaholics GTAr and a Jaguar xj220) and I find the best way to get in with the hood up is bum in first then swing your legs around but if your hood is down just jump step in as the sky is literally your limit :)
I JUST LUV IT SOUNDS GOOD ALMOST THOUHT IT WAS PORCHE
Don't lean on the windscreen on a Lotus!!! Haha beautiful car.
mystery car content >>>>
🤝
Such a cool car
Fun channel, sometimes better than abroad rallys, stores and so on. And the Museum is getting better and better over time!
Holy crap, That's a cool car!
“Great success!” famous phase from Manny khosbin
The only time that I've been a passenger in an Elise was at Castle Combe, a passenger as part of a charity ride at RSOC day. It didn't help that I was recovering from a knee operation, the only way to extract.....spin around and "Wolf of Wall Street" my way out - not good for a 6ft tall guy with a dodgy knee!
I thought it was an Exige until you said it was as old as the XJ220, totally forgot the Elise were out that far back too. Imagine that plate on the first ever produce McLaren F1 though.
Cleo v6 is probably in my top 3 hot hatches I wish we had them in the us
Finally we know where the M8 went!
🤣
This comment wins the day!!
There is no dignified way to get out of an Elise, and my family just laughs with cameras in hand when l pull into the driveway.
You should get so wood and cut them to fit the stacker to make a longer ramp
Love the new Lotus.
oui for shmee
Can you post a link for the wall art?
Love all of your content Tim but knowing your love of watches I was surprised you’ve fallen into the “Vincero” sponsor trap…at least you didn’t try and convince us that they’re “disrupting the industry” etc 😆
Oh I noticed that immediately as well, erm, and to give them to his employees, while he owns not 1 but TWO Rolexes, erm…
a road trip with the clio would be fun and hilarious
I didn’t know there’s a lego Eiffel Tower! That’s crimbo sorted!
Woah my Gosh what a saund what a impeccable French sport car.....
It's great!
@@TheShmuseum it's 💪💪💪💪
it would be cool if you did a video where you went camping in the transit because it would be intresting to see also cool vehicle
This over a laFerrari for me. Thanks You for the vidéo.
That Clio v6 is glorious, the sound is everything 👏🏽
100%
Watch, in a years time the second room that was meant to be a workshop will have been taken over by lego
Much better than the expected Alpine
You should backlight the Zenvo sign with the color of your Zenvo Tsr-S.
How cool would the lotus look if the wheels where gold JPS vibe 👍
Drive the 675lt!! downpipes & tune would be cool
I love watches, I just bought an Invicta watch that has the red and blue dial, like the Rolex Pepsi, that ill never own.
I'd love to have the value of those two plates in the bank, let alone the cars. Very cool.
Lol… cheeky Tom 😂
Well Tim you did say what it was when the video started lol
Clio really is amazing. When will the c63 Black get the love?
11:22 the lusso is back🙃
While I understand what the owner of the Lotus’s has done with his number plates, I always feel that a number plate with “RST” on it should be an Escort RS Turbo haha
Build the Eiffel tower into the scaletrix track
I guess having room to store cars is like having a trailer. You get lots of friends
Shmee what have you been dailying lately with the cold setting in?
I guessed Lotus at 19:13 just not that Elise that is a beauty
Is there a LEGO Arc De Triomphe? Since you like going to the real one and photographing your cars in front of it; you could have a model one with your model cars arranged around that.
18:00 Porsche 993, so a THE 911-something plate
Tim, why not get a pair of race ramps to make it easier to take very low cars off the Autostackers!
It would be amazing to have the two lotus cars and the tvr on lifts 5 and 4 with having all the Brits in one area with the Senna and XJ220 directly opposite and showing evolution of British cars and than the ford GT opposite the Mustang and Focus Heritage addition, make it look like they all staring directly at their family's as such. Could than possibly in future do similar with any Germans, JDMs etc etc
That wasn't even in the ball park of my own guesses.... I imagined summat like an old MG or other British softtop clasic.
is there gonna be a video of the tvr? so cool to have a variety of cars each with a unique story.
What's happened to the STO haven't seen it in video's for a while
that is amazing
It really is!
