- Vittorazi Cosmos 300, 100 hour review! Mounted on the Fly Products Xenit Trike.
We've put over 100 hours on our Cosmos 300 in less than one year! We' discuss issues and routine maintenance over that time frame.
If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to us.

Awesome job Kyle! We really appreciate the shoutout!
Thanks Kyle! Good info. Can’t wait for EFI on these engines! I’ll be putting mine to good use in Factory Butte next weekend!
Careful what you wish for, KTM TPI dirt bikes have a lot of issues, apparently they're going back to carbs 2024. It's going to be a $3000-4000 premium to go EFI over a carb offering (or you'll see them jack the price for the carb model to make it seem not as bad). Then there are ignition curves, non-existent 2-stroke ignition curves. I think Nirvana may actually be the only manufacturer shipping motors with an ignition system that changes with rpm. Ignition systems are boring, but there is a lot being left on the table using a lawnmower engine ignition system (that is simple & reliable to be fair).
Awesome machine! Yall are awesome. Thanks for the 100 hour review.
Well done Mr. Mooney!
Thank you sir :) Excited to see ya soon!
Nice video buddy , how has been the performance in tandem ?
So good to hear this. Did you get the gear oil from Skysports too or any standard gear oil from local automotive store?? Suggestions?
Mark, yes Skysports sells it, but you can you buy any 10W40 Motorcycle Oil (wet clutch)

Hey mate. nice reviews. If you were going to pick the Thor 250 or the Cosmos 300, what would you go for?
Thor 250 is a nice engine, we owned one for two years for tandem work, and except for the electric starter and the manual starter was reliable, but Cosmos 300 is more power, smoother, and has been completely trouble free for us woth over 120 hours on it now.
@@oneupadventures5040 Nice and thanks for taking the time to reply:)
Oi, poderia dar uma dic onde vc ligou o indicador de RPM, obrigado.
Do you recommend the Dual Spark? Or just change the Single spark every 20 hrs?
It's really a matter of personal preference. The Dual Spark just gives some peace of mind that if one of the spark plugs or ignition systems were to fail, the engine would continue to run, but this safety system of course comes with a higher price to account for the additional complexity and components. We utilize the dual spark for our school tandem trike.
What is the TBO on this motor?? In your case & per the manual. Thnc

Link to maintenance manual w/maintenance schedule is above. Piston replacement is recommended at 200 hours, along with some of the bearings and seals. Our first Cosmos was sold at 160 hours, our second one is under 60 hours now, neither of which have had any issues. Based on our experience with 2-stroke paramotor engines, as long as the engine is asymptomatic and well cared for and maintained, they can go up to 500+ hours before replacing these components.
@@oneupadventures5040 Thank You so much for responding. I am asking because I got so disgusted with Polini Thor 303 ( the starter, broken ropes &, etc.) that I am trying to go electric, but perhaps This motor will give me some hope. 😀
@@mgmrateconfirmation8404 , I understand your frustration. We've been super happy with the Cosmos, and have sold a few dozen, each one has been problem free. And if you do have a problem, Vittorazi warranty support is outstanding!
@@oneupadventures5040 👍
Let's do a paid clinic on maintenance on this motor at your location. I'd pay the fee and fly down. Run a one day "how to maintain the Cosmos 300" clinic.
you only have to change the oil😂😂
posible Cosmos 300 buy in India
Yes, for sure no problem. Go to www.vittorazi.com for dealers in India :)
@@oneupadventures5040 thanks 🙏
