I was severely depressed after my wife died and I had nothing that I wanted to live for. I survived family abuse and combat in war zones but this caused me to nearly end it all. I got back to grinding by being inspired by Goggins. He saved my life too.

@@Idkmanionlyhave1life At the beginning I stopped all fast food and sodas. I spent 3h a week in the gym, no cardio. I wasn't watching the scale but started to feel better. In 9 months I lost 33kgs which is about 70lbs I think. Mid July I started counting calories and macros. I was 155kgs which is well over 330 lbs. I started losing about 10 kgs / 22lbs a months at this point.
Lately I've been pushing my self imposed limits. 5h gym session on sunday with 2h cardio. 2h on Monday. 3h30 yesterday. About the same today. I'm addicted to the grind and the process. I wanna do calisthenics once below the 200 pound mark.

It is 4am in Vancouver. I am a 62-year old flight attendant. David Goggins MAKES me roll out of bed and hit the mat, the weights, and my running shoes every day at this hour ~ not easy, as he's competing against a warm, cozy bed. Running (truthfully, I still kind of trot and walk) in the dark is a beautiful thing. I adore him for making me look goooood in my size 2 uniform, and gearing up for my 18th Ironman triathlon. I wish I could thank him in person. Absolutely loved this moment between the Mom (5 kids on her own, RESPECT), the young man, and David. Have watched it several times, lacing up my shoes!

I was 285 when i graduated highschool in 2019, I've been slowly working on myself one day at a time and today, I am down 102 pounds (183lbs now) and I must say I can't wait to get to 165!! STAY HARD and keep going because progress is progress even if you aren't progressing as fast as others around you! My back feels so much better and my body is happy im loosing weight.

Same situation here, David is the kind of role model we need. I certainly didn't need to see someone who "represented" me when I was over weight, I needed to see someone who stopped making excuses and achieved something.
People say that Goggins isnt humble, but he never says "Im better than you". He simply says "Im out here, youre not".
There's a lot of super high quality people out there but I've felt no one is as truly authentic as Goggins.

could have really listened to David Goggin's when I was a teen myself but I have so much respect for him especially after seeing this video. He is a great speaker, motivator and his talks helped to get me off my ass and get out there trail running everyday to reach my goals after seeing him do it as much as he pushes himself I knew I had no excuse.

I was 20 pounds over weight in high school and not in shape!! You know the chubby guy I lost 45 pounds and joined the Marines in 2008 became Recon and deployed 2 times to Afghanistan! I was the soft and non confrontational person!! What I’ve learned is priceless!!!

Goggins is an inspiration! I’ve been up since 430am and on my feet all day.
My recent ex gf is back at her 2nd part time job. I could sit around & have a few beverages, or go out for a bite & a drink. Though it’s dark out, I’m fixing to go change clothes and go for a run. Besides knowing what I need to do, Goggins has been an inspiration for me to get out and get to it…..even after long days when it’d be much easier to sit down and take it easy.
I have it in me because I use to be an athlete. Goggins has definitely been motivation to get it done and get over that hump of just wanting to….and actually getting out and doing it.
