- It's Dead. RIP My 1999 Toyota Camry. The cost to repair it simply outweighs what I would get from insurance, so it is what it is. Shame to lose a good beater car good mpg daily driver though :/

RIP Camry. It will be missed.
nooooo!! I’ve only just started to watch your channel but you genuinely have made such an impact. may you find a car with the same charm as your Camry. RIP Camry 1999-2023
The Camry really did have a personality of its own 😔😔 May it rest in peace 🙏🙏
now you can bring out the Ferrari you've been hiding
what ever do you mean 😳😳
Haha
my car was stolen (95 integra) and it needed about $1500 in repairs. it had the exhaust removed, interior parts removed, etc. luckily my dad helped fix and reinstall the exhaust n the interior parts so i can keep driving it. it was about to go to the junkyard. we kept it for the sentimental value.
happy to hear it's still driving man 💪 recovering from having a car stolen is no easy endeavor. massive props for keeping it on the road !
I have yet to own a car with working ac, I think you’d love a manual. A great car is a Saturn s series 5 speed. The ford escort zx2 is also phenomenal it was my last car and it was so fun to drive, handling is wicked even at 260k miles. Late 80s-90s Honda 5 speeds are a joy as well, the 87 accord I’m picking up has handling like a Mercedes it’s great that these cheap old cars are still kicking. Gonna replace every bushing in that car when I get it so it drives like new
it's always bittersweet to say goodbye
It do be :/
Rip Camry you'll be missed 😢
I feel your pain. I crashed and totalled my 1994 Chevy impala 3 months ago which was also my first car and only car I’ve ever driven. I babied that car for 8 long years and it was in amazing condition. RIP Camry and my impala :-(
something i would like to see more of from your channel, jacob would be more videos like this, vlog type, talking about whatever is happening and casually smoking.
might have to make more like this in the future ! appreciate the input man :)
@@jacobfuckingjones much love bud!
RIP Camry She will be missed
I really like the automotive content Jacob! Would be cool to see more about the suburban too
Definitely gonna have to make more of it in the future ! Glad you enjoy the car content man :)
Sending my condolences to you at this tragic time Jacob 💝🚗
R.I.P Camry we will all miss you
damn jacob i’m so sorry-i know exactly how it feels. letting go of my ‘91 corolla was one of the saddest things i’ve had to do 😪 we are here for you brother
I have a 93 Camry and damn I love that car.
You flexxin on me right now man 😭😭😂
Been waiting for this vid since you mentioned it in stream
Glad to provide my man !
If you have the owners manual you should roll a cigarette with a page from it. xD Sorry for your loss though :(
I don't think I kept the owners manual but i really should have 😂😂 Gonna have to look around I feel like I might have but cant remember. Either way, I like that idea though! May have to try that with my new car sometime ngl ngl
About to buy an 87 Honda accord myself this Friday, friend hit a deer a year ago and never fixed it, I’m gonna buy her for $650 and drop a radiator and headlight in and be on my way. Insurance is insane though, my minimum for that car and almost any car is $180 a mont for LIABILITY.
The ciggymobile died 😭
indeed 😔😔
I watch you on my t v i got on my phone and found this video just to say i think youre a pretty cool dude 😎 love the videos. R.i p car. Keep this excellent content coming!
Probably too late, but I recommend a Mitsubishi Mirage. My manual is a 2015 with 130,000 that I bought 2 years ago for $5500. Theyre incredibly reliable, super good on gas, and cheap as hell to buy and maintain. People just don't want them lol. I love mine, incredible value for money!
I ended up getting 80's Mercedes, which I am quite happy with! However, a Mirage sounds like a great econobox to me, especially for how new it is for the price. Can't complain about that !
Damn. Nothin' like losing a great ol beater. R.i.p
You should definitely look into parting it out, or keep that one and get a new Camry and use it as a parts car:)
Driving manual transmission is easier than it looks , i taught myself how to drive a manual on a 1989 chevy s10 pickup that had no power steering and a tiny aftermarket steering wheel. they are also stolen allot less often cause not allot of people know how to drive sticks anymore. Best wishes Jacob.
What a tragic day... RIP carry you will be greatly missed. 🖤
That sucks that your Camry is done. It was a good car that just did it's job up until now and the engine is still running even with this going on. That's reliability right there. I miss my dad's Camry 2015 it was totalled in a crash but that car had no issues besides a defective battery that issue got resolved but we had it for 5 good years. Hopefully you'll be able to get a new car that'll replace your Toyota soon. It was fun to see your car while it lasted. My dad ended up getting a brand new fully loaded JEEP Cherokee to replace it. Not going to lie it's a bit more fun but the Camry always holds that special place for me
Rip Camry you'll be sadly missed ❤
I got a 98 V6 Camry. I'm dreading the day I'm gonna have to say goodbye. It has 213k miles on it but still runs strong for now
Glad to hear it's a clean one man 💪💪 Hope it lives a very long life
if ur control arm is still fine u could go to junkyard take subframe and maybe new controlarm from there and its fraction of the price
Sad to hear jakey my man, perhaps you could find a celica of around the same year! I have one myself, they have same/similar engine to the camrys and are easy to maintain and great on fuel, if you hunt around should be able to find a clean one cheap enough. And being a sports coupe you'd look pretty flash with a cig yessir yessir ykwisykwis..
The only 1999 camry to ever die
ong 😔😔
@@jacobfuckingjones would 10/10 recommend learning to drive a manual though
RIP Camry iconic to Jacob. It will be missed.
DAMN NO!!! Im so sorry :(
it be what it be 😔
RIP camry will truly be missed
Next video: using my 1999 Toyota Camry’s exhaust as a smoking pipe 😂
Those sunglasses are 🔥. May I ask where you bought them? RIP Camry 😢
Nice chill video man, you always got the vibes
New video idea: chill nonchalantly smoking a cigarette at one spot and you can’t leave until someone ask to bum a cigarette 💯
Rip camry will definitely be looking forward to the video of you smoking your first cigarette in your new (used) car
looking forward to posting that video in the next month or so ngl !
Sorry to hear about the Camry bro. If you want you could request to keep the working parts if that's a possibility by the scrap yard, and sell/repurpose those?
Jacob never uploads a bad video! Truly a master of his craft. 😁
happy you feel that way man :)
The end of an era 😥
There is something so special about older cars unlike those boring new ones
@@ciemny9410 me personally, I have a 2019 and I bought it used. But I do really like much older cars, smth ab the older technology just feels cooler.
ong 😔
Jacob spent more money on cigs than his car ..lol.
Not wrong 😂😂
rest in peace :( i just recently lost my car due to an accident so i truly feel ur pain
RIP to your car as well man 😔
This is the only Jacob Jones video where there are complaints on my behalf to be completely honest. Big L, sad to see the Camry go. Good vid nonetheless certainly no other complaints on my behalf
Go Corolla , its a TANK and its CONFY AF!!!
Which year and which engine do you recommend?
@@Seboskasforever From 2008 to 2010 se version, it ranges from 4-9k depending on year and miles. My corolla is a 2009 and never let me down. The feeling I had is it will be running good for 10+ years ahead, the car its a tank!!!
thats a shame. i have a great "beater" car now w/ AC. 2011 ford fusion SE very very reliable and only paid $4200 130k miles. Been driving it over 2 years now not one problem.
Sorry to hear about the beater I guess we would call it an old bomb, a friend had his 6 year old car written of no fault of his own and it had a full tank of petrol and 4 near new tyres on it. American cars always seem to rust out moreso in certain areas I guess.
Dude im in a similar situation and you just helped me out a ton with how i should deal with this and how to go about it lol thank you
You have a 3rd option, you can run a chain around the subframe/control arm and take the suburban and jerk on it a few times and you might be able to straighten the frame out. Then it's a replace the control arm ($200 or so if you do it yourself) and good to go
If the tranny and engine are good then you can easily get 500 for it.
yeah id be mad too if my car broke with 3/4 of tank left brother man
glad you understand the pain my man 💪😂
A tour of your Chevy would be awsome!
I have one up on the channel if you're interested!
Im sorry for your loss
sucks to see any car scrapped as they could be a future classic
Love this video jacob. Good shit
It’s sad how this Camry has a longer life than a few of my friends :( R.I.P Ismail and Aaron
I remember I heard you say 99 in another video I was surprised that thing was still on the road lol
Rip Camry 😢. He was like a father to me
hey jacob, this is a great video. this car very much reminds me of my 1997 honda civic, its almost the same dark green color as your camry. i bought it last october for $1800, through the winter i did a whole engine swap and then after that the tranny went out and i did a tranny swap. i still daily drive the car and it is most definetly cosmetically a peice of shit but i love it. would most definetly recommend an old honda if your considering getting another econoshitbox!!!!!!!!!!! scion xb is also a great choice my buddy owns one.
8:50 "dont get me wrong a lil- li- li- lilll bit of rust, lets see, ugh, just gonna make the rust hole a little bit bigger" *proceeds to take off lowtop black airforce ones* that was such a black air force energy move lmaoooo
had to do it to em 😈😈
I just started watching you ive been learning how to drive in a 1999 camry love that car run’s perfectly
you flexxin on me man 😭😂
that sucks dude =/ rip camry hope you find a nice car.
yeeas i remember you having this car and talking about it in previous episode. The yellow melon or i forgot the name had me a bit confused xD thought i'd slipped in an alternate reality there for a sec haha
the problem is that its gonna be pretty hard to find another car that runs as well as that for the same price it would take to repair it. me personally id fix it but thats just me
kelly bluebook also isnt always accurate with prices tbh
Had the same year camry le, had the rear frame bended but i hammered it into position and replace the trunk bumper and tail lights from the junkyard for a total of $300. Its a good daily car.
if mine had been rear ended instead of what happened to it, i'd still be driving it ngl 😂😂
@jacobfuckingjones 🤣true but these cars have cheap cost to fix even to rebuild one just gatta find a good websites to buy off from for instance a1 autoparts
My condolences...
R.I.P Toyota Camry You Will Be Missed 😢😭
RIP Camry you'll be missed
My corsa has its MOT tommorow and I do not have high hopes, Jacob I think I’m going to be in the same shoes as you😢
oof 😭😭 i hope it passes my man
This made me appreciate my 00 Toyota Avalon 😢 R.I.P Camry
RIP thoughts and prayers
These camry's are cheap to fix as long as the subframe isn't completely rusted out. All the suspension parts including shocks and breaks would run you less than 1k. I've had my 99 camry for about 5 years and all the work on it was worth it because I can't beat how cheap and easy it is to fix.
Sadly the subframe was bent, which was the main issue :/
Im sorry about your camry man
time for a new 99 camry
RIP camry, a true solider 💔
My favorite youtuber just posted 2 min ago lets goooo!!!
scion xb SO LIT
they're so gas, didn't end up getting one of those but i'm still tempted to get one in the future !
Damn, windows open and making sure the ash goes in the ashtray even though you're scrapping it. Man I don't even manage that when I first get the car! Probably why you have 0 burns and I have loads!
Oh, no good old Camry Sorry heard that Jacob . I have a 2003 corolla getting there unfortunately. 👊
2003 corolla is a top tier whip ngl 💪💪 hope it says around longer than not
My 99 Camry is still going strong!
had to flex on me dang 😔😔😂
We need a 2 hour jacob jones documentary netflix special
once netflix hits me up for that i gotchu man 😂😂
Is it harmful to change between types of cigarettes?
My condolences. Since I'm kinda early I've gotta ask what your favorite cigarette is? If you can't decide, a top 3 would be even better.
My favorite cigarette is most certainly "The Peace" for sure. Fantastic smoke!
@@jacobfuckingjones Any answer for those of us who aren't in Japan X) Otherwise I might suck it up and have a box shipped just to try it, though it's around 12000 yen to get a box shipped here after import fees :(
Time to get a slightly newer Camry
I was tempted ngl 😂
RIP Jacobs beloved camry
Def get another Toyota, such good cars, my Corolla has 250,000 and going strong
And how is the back seat?
Subframe damage sucks. Even if the damaged one is replaced with a new one, the new one is likely not to fit since the original subframe is super sturdily linked to components the positions of which would have changed after damage, which affects new subframe fit, impact resistance, structural integrity, driveabilitily. Realistically that car will never again be safe to drive. Here in the EU such damage, even on new cars, means the car is totalled.
I would buy an equivalent Camry that has a broken engine and swap the engine in this one.
RIP Camry you will be missed by many you know what im saying? yes sir yes sir
Thats hella sad, id honestly just pay the 600 bucks to get the arm and shit replaced i drive ALOT and that car mignt not even last me another year if it was me
Could be a small fix On the axle shafts as well Dam he flexing on us DIY mechanics on cars 😢
What ! Damn no complaints tho it was a beast !
Man this car was really amazing I wish I had one ... i feel so sorry about your car
I had a similar problem with my car. its a 2001 toyota camry. the rear frame was totally rusted and i needed to have it replaced. it cost 900$ but I did it because the used cars around here are way too expensive to buy a new one
Can we have a 2nd channel for car content? or do you want to focus on this channel
NOOOOO
RIP Camry. Such a sad day today :c
Rip lil hitta, u was bussin for the min - we pourin 1

Long time viewer I’ve seen your time with this car beginning to end. If you live near me I would like to buy the car, I have a good amount of mechanical know how and can weld. I’m sure you live too far from me thought if I’m being honest. It is a true shame to see it die like this. Honestly the alignment probably isn’t that bad to where the wheel will fall off, however if you hit a pothole just right it could rip the whole suspension out of the subframe is damaged heavily. I would imagine it has a small crease which could tear, then you would have big issues.
I appreciate the offer, but since the recording of this video, I junked the Camry :/ it was, and might still be, sitting in a parts yard near me.
Had it on craigslist for a month to no avail, so it be what it be. But yeah, the suspension definitely wasn't safe that is for sure 😂 Prolly should have said what you said instead of saying the wheel would have fallen off, but technically that isn't wrong i do suppose 😂
The Goat Car Has Died
rip 😔😔
My 2001 Chevy PRISM (Toyota Carolla) is dead in the garage... same color green exterior/grey interior! Any burn holes in your seats!? Did your CAMRY end up in the bone yard!?
