To be fair, this was recorded in an extremely hot & dry summer, but the city was designed like any American car-dependent town with sprawl and mediocrity as the goal, but this is changing a bit now -- the change is a bit too long though... You know what Canberra's chief planner said in the 70's? 'People walking in streets is for third-world countries. No one wants to see people walk in streets, you need suburban blocks and direct car engineering. People who want to see people wasting in streets can go jump' (paraphrasing)

Most of Canberra is populated around the outskirts the center of the town is mostly government buildings and offices parks etc
