Woo hoo....yesterday my birthday from my boyfriend arrived at last. The new Helion book on Rocroi along with two more Helion books ,the new one on Lutzen and "Monmouths first rebellion" about the many small battles during Scotland's " killing time",I'm Scottish so reading that first!

New book in English on Rocroi coming out soon. Helion books. The only other really worthwhile,yet far too short book in English is Histoire and co 's translation of there Rocroi book "the victory of youth",worth having,but lack of solid information in English(I'm Scottish btw lol)means this new Helion book looks well worth getting.

At a certain moment, 0:44- 0:48 and 1:54-1:55 appear images from the movie In the service of the king. the clip is not 100% historically accurate. There are images that describe the battle of Poltava - 1709 between Peter I's Russia and Charles XII's Sweden. so nothing to do with the 30 Years War no offense, but it's probably a professional fault as a history teacher. In rest.. great job, man !
