The devs never cease to amaze me by the quality of the work they put out at no cost to us after purchasing the game. They have long been some of my favorite developers and this absolutely solidifies that. The quality of their work is amazing and theyâre willingness to take suggestions to make the game better, basically put peoples mods in the game (like the Wydra looks like a direct port of a mod I think was called the beaver). I would love to see more strange vehicles like the stambecco.

The Beam devs and the Deep Rock Galaxtic devs are the two best dev teams on the planet by far. No one else I know of supports there game and keeps up to date with the community as much as these two.

Name one game that gets this much improvement on the regular basis for such a small price.
With the release of the great Shutoku map for BeamNG last week to me Assetto gets left behind more and more regarding playtime. Why Assetto feels like iam steering plates on ice in BeamNG the vehicles behave much more natural. Maybe its time they include more racing against a smart AI or fully customizable races...

on a wheel beamng does feel pretty good. For drifting though, assetto still has a big advantage.

@@burgerbait even with the assist in BeamNG if youre on controller (yes some cars are way to easy) its harder than real life. First of all with most cars with the default assist % are SUPER accurate like in real life the car steers for it self a little when drifting. in real life you got all your senses but in BeamNG you only have vision. No feel of the car etc. Saying this as i was getting some pretty decent tandems and very smooth solo drifting BEFORE the assist update on controller and now with the assist i get doors in tandems.
@@Matthias..8----------D I don't think you can compare controller to irl drifting and using assists like oversteer assist is definitely not accurate to real life. Anyway, my point was that Assetto will always be more popular than BeamNG for drifting because Assetto is easier. Hop in tando buddies cars and feel like a drift king. Even 'realistic' packs like DWG aren't that hard to drift. Cars in BeamNG (not the JBX, it's the tando buddies of BeamNG) are not forgiving with the assists off and having fun is more popular than hardcore simulation.

@@mementomori2826 Same with the developerâs work ethics. Actually adding content people want, actually listening to people if people experience bugs etc. Itâs insane how HORRIBLE some of these âTriple AAAâ game devs can be when they release an unfinished $60 or $70 game!!!

ââââ@@bmxboxter The difference is "AAA" developers are under the constraint of adhering to the rules and instructions given to them by their managing directors. Not to mention that once they've released a game they're forced to begin development for the future one no matter how slow.
Apply that time spent for the upcoming one to the time used to fix bugs in current unfinished game that got rushed by greedy management. Yep, you've got a jumble of mess. It's not necessarily their fault, its the fault of the higher ups in the industry. Higher ups that can't seem to comprehend that modern gaming is way more complex and bigger than it used to be and therefore requires more development time.

There's so much to do and the content is fantastic as you can see, it's easily the best value for a game I've ever bought
dude if you have a decent PC, give it a shot. It's one of the best bang-for-buck games out there right now. For actual driving I'd recommend a console controller or simracing wheel/pedals. I get by fine with a controller, though a wheel and VR headset (iirc the game has vr support?) would definitely be more fun I can't justify the price for a good setup right now. Same goes with other simulator games like Elite Dangerous, I'd love to have a HOTAS and VR setup, but given all the bullshit going on with the game right now I don't want to invest in that kind of equipment. (jUsT bUy STaR CiTiZeN 'ahem' *no* )

Beam's large vehicles could definitely do with some love.
Double-decker buses, articulated buses, PHEV and full electric buses, LP buses, trolleybuses (and trolleybus cables on West Coast)
More engines for big trucks (I4, I6, V6, V8, V12 and V16 2 stroke diesels), more big truck bodies (CABOVERS), doubles (2 short trailers) triples (3 short trailers) and road trains (3+ short or full sized trailers), car haulers, petrol tankers could be a substantial fire/explosion hazard and damaged tankers could leak whatever fluid is in them, heavy-duty brush and troop transport trucks (both military and civilian variants), fire trucks and large D-series-based ambulances (see ultra-heavy duty Dodge Ram ambulances)...
They could do some unbelievably cool stuff with heavy vehicles.

Seriously, I would consider buying this game a second time (or making a donation to the team) because I've been playing it so long and the devs keep updating it. Beam is the most fantastic driving game I have ever played.
Not sure if you know but the Stambecco is based on a real life Austrian vehicle called the Steyr-Puch Pinzgauer i love that its added! its a military vehicle

I played the demo once in 2013 and just purchased beamng a couple months ago after not paying attention to the game for 10 years, I was shocked at how much changed.
I like the 0.26 bloom because it doesn't burn my eyes and get administered in a hospital and possibly get blinded

The devs are absolute madmen putting out such a large update so soon after the previous. I honestly wasn't expecting any further major updates to the game for at least 6 months after 0.26 came out.
The "Kanye car" isn't based off his car its based off a truck that was made in the USA and is known to never get stuck it it is a engineering masterpiece
