Unfortunately I think they still do from time to time. Check out Broadbent's video on this release, near the end iirc you see a moment when him and another car get stuck to each other. I think had to reset mission.

you know what? interactive interiors might be a good way for them to implement VR support again, so you can go in vr but actually touch the stuff (pedals would be a problem though) so you can actually grip the wheel and shift and handbrake and all that and it would be really immersive.

I remember getting it in 2015 when I was really young and just wanted it for the crash phisics. I got board of that, afew years go by its 2017, and I get automation and get back into beamng. It was still rough back than, but looking. At it not the export cars a very good.

Imagine if we got Snowrunner level dirt/mud/snow physics. There'd be no reason to play any other car game.

They also made the Lo/Hi and 4x4 on a single button wich is realistic but it would be nice not to have to go trough Lo4 to disengage 4x4 :/
I like how almost none of the big beamng youtubers still haven't figured out the 4x4 shifting shit in like a decade lmao
It’s only on certain ones. Several still have the old style lockers and stuff
In the older Land Rovers you had to engage Low Range 4x4 and then disengage to get back into High Range 2WD so it is based off real life to be fair

I'm not gonna lie, the igniton system got me, probably more than the new map. It could just be me, but before this update I tried a couple of things, just having fun, like letting a car roll down a hill in gear, clutch pressed with ignition on and lifting up the clutch. To this day, it did spin up the engine, but because of the two way ignition it wouldn't stay on. Now when I was just exploreing the update found out I could do it, and was having a lot of fun for some reason.
Love how this game went from the early free to "play" body physics demo to a full realistic car game!
that'll be a lifesaver for drifting. i literally had the button next to the parking brake bound as ignition cause i would get lazy with the clutch and kill the motor.
I remember when 0.26 added the 3 ignition stages in the gameplay settings, and it didn't really work, and now it actually does, and it's really cool. Also the Stambecco finally broke the rule of most BeamNG vehicles not having gas caps (except T-Series I believe)
The Multi Ignition system is yet another one of those "features from Rigs of Rods that took forever to get into BeamNG" because RoR had two different bindings to control ignition and starter.
Plus, that opens JBeam functionality potential in the future such as dashboards doing the illumination and gauge self-test when you turn it on or even vehicles like the Wentward doing the self-test beep that most commercial vehicles have.
Another thing to note about EVs is that setting regen braking to max enables "Single-Pedal Driving" which lets you come to a stop and stay stopped without ever touching the brake pedal outside of emergencies.

Not joking. I waited 10 years to get a good stick shift simulation. Beamng does this really well. I bought the game in 2015 and still getting free updates! You rock devs!

There’s also a function on the D Series where you have to use the clutch to start the car, also the attention to detail that we love to see.

Every vehicle that isn't automatic (or has a DCT transmission) requires a clutch to start if you aren't in neutral.
It would be nice to have window switches work or have the sunroof be able to open or tilt. Would be a cool little touch
The Procyon Centauri mod has a sunroof and is dev-quality, you might be interested in that

In 0.27.1 you don't need mission markers on for refueling UI to appear, there's an option for that now instead

I have a small correction, so this is just my experience, in the video you said that its a new feature if you press f7 the car spawns at your camera position without reseting the car damage but it already was a feature, in an older update it was by default but then in a new update it wasn't default anymore but i just set it in controls back how it was. in controls you can set if its going to reset the car damage or not.

Same thing with starting vehicles cold or not, that option has been in the game for a very long while.
I’ve spent this update lowering the off-road buggy versions of cars, putting F1 tires on them, stiffening the springs and turning them into open wheel race cars lmao.

I do actually use the radial menu a lot for the lights, lightbar and traffic when i'm using my controller.

I swore that F8/F7 would just teleport your car without resetting it and they changed it again. I remember because it was the old way to flip cars before you could pull nodes.
No I definitely remember that as well. It was like 2 updates ago, like 0.24 or 0.25 when they made it reset. I didn't have to flip it in that way, but I remember it didn't reset the damage. So happy they brought it back.
I love how the Mudmaster MUST explode or be on fire every time it’s on screen without elaboration.

I was wondering why my truck in BeamNG wasn't moving when I turned it on, the multi-ignition stuff ruined my police chase after it stalled.
Heres one more thing way down the road that i just thought of that would be cool.
I wonder what Beamng would be like in VR. getting to go through the tunnels at Utah, or crawling through the jungle would be pretty epic. Not saying that this should come soon though.

I would love to see more Engine Tuning options, just like the ajustable ECU's from Fueltech for example.. You could have some fun making aggressive cars

I'd really like to see deform-able terrain simulation in the game. So taking those awesome offroad vehicles well...offroad would be a ton more fun, doesn't have to be as extreme as say mudrunner or snowrunner but something similar. It's the only thing really missing from the game.

something I noticed, at least I'm pretty sure it was new in this update, was that the way the steering acts while driving is more realistic, it doesn't just return to center, it springs side to side idk how to describe it but drive in first person and you'll see what I mean

Imagine one of the desert stages. You get an hour to set a run time, and you get to use both an excavator and a car for for that hour. So you get to smoothen it out a bit in places, in order to set a faster time in the end. But with the risk of crashes and damage, how much of the hour do you want to be excavating? Grinding the stage might win more time?
I'd love to see 4 players take each other on with different strategies. One might first be driving the exavator to the end of the stage to make changes, others might excavate the first part of the stage to save travel time, and one, may just be driving the car over and over again, as it resets with full repair.

Im hyped for beamng drive comming out in full version. What i mean by that, beamng is still in alpha version and who knows what they will add? Maybe it will be the new assetto corsa but with ultra realistik car physiks and crash pyhsiks.

Honestly I do not think it will ever get out of Alpha. It's been in development for ten years now, and they haven't figured some essentials, like tire thermals, although that might happen next year. I wonder how long we have until the devs start leaving it for different projects

Now they need to do new smoke and water physics. Especially now they have cold start features. And dust is okay. Smoke on the other hand could have some work done to and water.
I also noticed wheels are not centering back automatically when you stay in place even when hold steering is off, also the lights stay as you set them when you reset.
Edit: I forgot I turned on stay in place :D So only the second part is true.

Yes, it will impact the truck's performance. It will depend on how big the tire is and how much pressure is in it.

I haven’t been able to play BeamNG recently, my pc (gaming laptop) has been sucking ass recently, it used to be able to run BeamNG normal settings maybe 40 50 fps and now on low it is barely pushing 20, below 20 sometimes so I haven’t been able to check out the new update sadly
What are these new ignition controls?!,I was able to start the car just fine, but the only problem I had was when I go into reverse and the car sometimes shuts off. heck, I just had trouble switching gears in general.
