drying my curly hair without a diffuser attachment

no diffuser, just vibes 🤭 (I’m so used to typing diffuser so in the v beginning I meant hair dryer oki)
no but srsly I packed a diffuser for my trip and when I tried to plug it in, it made a loud pop noise and the diffuser powered off. I haven’t used it ever since & I don’t even think I’ll plug it in when I get home, I’m scurred 😭
anywho, here’s how I’ve been attempting to dry my curls without a diffuser attachment or a large strainer 🤠 if you’re ever stuck with the hotel hair dryers and wanna dry your curls, you can try this out (or live ur best life and air dry) 👇🏼
🌬️ I gently cupped a section of my hair then placed my hairdryer a few inches away from it (I was using medium heat)
🌬️ for any pieces of my hair that were laying flat and stuck to my scalp, I lifted those pieces using a wide tooth comb (being v gentle, not combing through it)
🌬️ if you’re finding some layers taking forever to dry, dry the hair in sections (use a hair clip to secure some areas away then focus on the ones you wanna dry)
🌬️ to dry the roots, I would gently lay my arm down on my roots (without smushing the curls) and hover the hair dryer until my roots are dry
🌬️ once it’s 100% dry I glazed and scrunched in a few drops of the @curlsmith_official bonding oil ✨
🌬️ if you wanna speed up the drying time use a microfibre towel to remove excess water by gently scrunching it out

I have curly hair , done heaps of heat damage but then done a big chop. Roots still don’t get curly anymore though like they used to :( , do you have tips on how to get them to curl again?

not sure if this will help but try doing hair masks, styling ur hair upside down, tilt your head to the side and scrunch all the way to the root, try plopping :)
