Hi Marty, you are the best. Of all the videos I have watched only you teach the true techniques needed to be a true PDR Tech. Many other videos show some amazing stuff but it is like they are showing off, not showing you how to do it. That is where you are different. You truly show what is going on in the metal and how to control it. I live in Australia and most of the techs here wouldn't even try anything near what you show on you videos. I can understand that . If they are making a decent living out of the easy stuff then why push themselves. I am inspired to learn and become a better tech to be able to take on some of the bigger dents and succeed. I have done some big dents but watching your videos I now know where I was having the problems and why I couldn't get it to the quality repair I desired. Thanks very much for your detailed instruction. You are a great teacher.
Wow thats one of the nicest testimonials I've received yet, thank you sir! It does seem like no one wants to help any one these days and thats very sad. It''s one of the reasons this trade has a bad reputation in many areas now. Please help spread the word about this site in your country so more techs will be educated about the basics of metal working and quality of repairs will start improving.
Always amazing Marty. No one knows tricks and tips about this industry more than you. Your tips already helped me soooo much since your training. God bless you
Thank you Marty for sharing your years of accumulated knowledge,' much appreciated. The more I learn, the more I realize experience makes such a difference.
After watching this, the very next day I was able to use the glass guard techniques , as I was working on a Prius front door I found myself struggling with the it, then I thought about the techniques I learned from you and implemented my new knowledge and was able to finish them fast and easier. Thanks a ton Marty! Always looking forward you new video!
Thanks Marty I really liked the bonnet prop idea. I’m new to PDR and often wondered how to reach areas on the bonnet where there isn’t a hole to hang a chain and get good leverage. Funny thing is I chopped up some old crutches to make a bonnet prop and was wondering what to do with them now as I have a few props. Tomorrow I will put an eye bolt through it. Thanks again
Haha, that's great, was just making some out of crutches myself!, BTW you can also use your props to hold a door slightly open with of curse the rope pulling it tight
Fix the dent, scratch the glass! - The right way to do this is take the glass out and drop a 3/8" wood board into the door and push off of that. I like the hood prop support and the reinforced factory hole though.
@@TopGunPDRTraining iv dabbled with the pdr idea for many years now iv done a few dings on my own cars your video would help anyone looking to get into pdr
Best Pdr video I've seen in a while! Finally some good wisdom, and useful tips I'll store in my memory. That washer for the factory hole is genius. Thank you I appreciate the tip. How long is that window guard your using and do you have one that you recomend?
Marty thank you for your quick and easy tips, nice to understand what you say clearly. Biden should have hired you to do his speeches. Not to be political just to be funny.
So the whale tale is used to take out dents behind the brace of the door? I have a dent from another car door . Can’t get at it with my rod tool . Which tool is best for those dents? I have about 8 to remove haha

Marty , Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge with us great tips
And thanks you for the kind words.
You can always go to a thrift store and pick up old crutches or an old Walker that's got telescopic legs in it to to make your adjustable hood prop.
I was wondering about using an old metal baking sheet as a window guard.

So the whale tale is used to take out dents behind the brace of the door? I have a dent from another car door . Can’t get at it with my rod tool . Which tool is best for those dents? I have about 8 to remove haha
Theres no way to answer that question but yes whales are one of the tools we use to get at problem areas.
You could always try glue pulling then tap downs
I always did my best not to damage those factory holes but sometimes it did happen after watching this i guess im no longer a butcher in that respect😅
Why is everyone saying marty?? I know it's his name but..
👍
