- Been drawing Telemachus a lot recently, I just had to make this boy come to life somehow. I couldn't find any other Legendary animatics, so I guess mine's the first one? Yay!

I love how Telemachus is basically Odysseus before the war. He has the optimism and enthusiasm of his father before it got washed away by a river of blood.
I was thinking that too!! Hes so much like him. And im not sure if its Jay who does his voice too, but he sounds like a happier version of Odysseus
@@IgnisInvicta In this clip, it is Jay who voices him, because the song isn't out, yet. However, he will search for an other vocalist to voice Telemachus (/he already did, but didn't officially announce who it is, yet).

Poetry
Which is kinda interesting bc in thr og oddessey, oddesseus really doesnt want to go to war. Oddesseus doesnt initially reapond to the calls of war, and when other kings come to get him to come, he pretends to be insane so theyll leave him alone. He only goes bc he is honor bound by a promise of all of Helen's suitors (which ody technically was, even if only to get hooked up with penelope lol) to return helen to whoever she ends up marrying should anyone try and kidnap or whatever
The fact that he looks like Odysseus too just makes me emotional for some reason

I imagined him in a cliff side, looking out at the sea, but stuck in his home, looking through the window works very well too.
He even has an animal side kick. He IS a disney princess!

Fun Fact: Argos means guardian/forever watchful, as in he watched over Telemachus in Odysseus' stead 😢

Well part of it is there’s not that many full songs out yet
There’s a lot of songs that are animated
This song combined with the animation gives strong Disney princess "I want" song vibes, and I'm living for it.
well, most of the songs that define a character are either "I want" songs, mainly reserved for heroes, or "I am" songs, mainly for villains
i once read that the fact that hellfire is an "I want" song for a villain is what makes it so great and terrifying

This song is so nice for so many reasons. Number one, Telemachus legitamately feels like a younger, less depressed and more enthusiastic about fighting version of Odysseus before he went to war. Number 2, the fact that the motif heard in the lines "And Ithaca's waiting! My kingdom is waiting!" In the song "Full speed ahead" was briefly played at the start of the song. Third, Athena popping up in her owl form when her theme plays.
I never even noticed her theme play there!
Telemachus is so cute! I'm happy to kept Odysseus dog.
The downside is everyone knows what happens to the dog once Odysseus returns

I love how Telemachus is a boy with his own sorrow but basically with a merry, cheerful spirit. His design is sooooo cute and he looks like an Ancient Greek version of Disney Princess.
Fun Fact: When Telemachus says "Come give me a sign" Athena's piano motif plays.

No one else has pointed this out yet, that I’ve seen, so I’ll do it. The family portrait at 0:37 looks a lot like the one of Hector’s from your animatic of “I’m Just A Man” when Odysseus has to kill poor Astyanax.

I think to me, it means that when Odysseus was picturing Hector’s family with the baby he had to kill, he was thinking of his own. Back then, he recognized humans for what they were. People with love, connections, and families in their constantly beating hearts. So when faced with the task of killing Hector’s son, he had to effectively kill those ideals right then and there, which is represented by that picture. By his family. Since then, we’ve slowly been witnessing his descent into… Idk what to call it. Not madness, but something close to it.
Or maybe im reading too much into this a year after it’s been pointed out. Who knows.
I like that Telemachus has a sense of light to him that even the pre-War Odysseus didn't quite have, Odysseus was more realism oriented which helped him survive in the War (thus making it worse and into an unhealthy pessimism), He's got his father's persistence and cleverness but has proper hope
Also watching him fiddle with the sword is fun
The concept of the son of a hero. Looking to his father’s stories, hoping to one day have a legend to live up to. And if anything wants to meet his father the most.

As a greek person, i wanna thank you sooo much for lighting up the atmosphere with those videos of yours! Odysseus is one of my favourite heroes and i am so glad our mythology is so famous in other countries too!! Telemachus is the cutest and Argos as well!!
I love the Greek stories, there so inspiring and have been a big part of my childhood, I love that they just keep on livening, never getting old and never dyeing, it's truly amazing :)

You've drawn him so beautifully! He looks like his father but more youthful. as one of my favourite greek mythology people this does him justice. The way you drew certain scenes, the solidarity it shows, it's breathtaking. You truly took time to understand each lyric, to really embody Patroklus. This animatic is beautiful, much as the rest of yours are! I'm so glad how early I am, and cannot wait for the attention this deserves. Thank you for delivering another great animatic! Each movement is so fluid, and shows how innocent and cute he is. It shows he may have a lack of training but he wishes to fight. The way he explains things to the dog, and the dog gets excited at Telemachus' excitement. Thank you

the "no idea if you're dead or just too far" line hits so hard. Its the uncertainty, is waiting even worth it? Ody couldve died and Telemachus wouldnt have any clue. Yearning for something you dont even know if real. Like. Man.
Maybe its extra hard cause I had an online friend, with whom I was very close, talking daily, who one day just vanished. Days turned to weeks and through the stages of grief, you eventually get to "no no, theyre fine, theyre just. Busy. They couldnt have died or anything.", where youre waiting for anything, even if its an "I dont wanna talk with you anymore" or "they died", cause at least its better than the uncertainty. Until eventually you realize it doesnt matter what happened to them. Wheter they're still out there living their best life or not. I like to think they are. But who knows. If they are, I hope they are still drawing even if Im not there to admire them. Still writing if Im not there to praise it.
Im sure, since a lot of people have friends online these days, Im not alone. So, if a friend of yours ever ghosted you out of nowhere, just...well. nothing I say can ease the pain maybe, but a word of advice is, try to not check if they are back or not. I promise if they do, they'll contact you again. For now all you're doing is hurting yourself more.

0:37 Okay to anyone who has watched gig's animatic on Horse and the infant, there is a scene is a scene when zues says
" This is the son of troy's very own prince hector"
and gig portrays a tapestry that almost completely parallel's the one we see there. This helped me to understand a bit more about why Odysseus did not want to kill that baby, and also maybe because their family perfectly parallel his.
I think history will repeat itself and Telemachus will become a student of Athena just like his dad

Just the l-l-l-l-legendary makes me laugh every time!! Also i love that youre portraying him as a young adult, which is what he was when Odysseus finally came home(i think it was like 20 years ish since he left)! I totally agree with most peoples stuff about how hes probably like prewar Odysseus and that makes me sad(especially after listening to Monster), but happy that at least Telemachus is still an optimistic smol bean!

I really appreciate the more angsty take on Telemachus. Ik Jorge is literally the creator, but the way he acts Telemachus in the clips feels a bit too 'inexplicably untraumatised tag-along kid' compared with the rest of the more serious musical. Also, love that Telemachus isn't just younger Odysseus, you can see bits of Penelope in there too. Fantastic job!
