    Well, I don’t know about you but we caved and bought a backyard playset from KidKraft.
    The Ainsley Kidkraft Playset is a cedar set with two swings, a “rock climbing” wall, slide, and a fun little fort area. Great for our 2 and a half year old!
    Check out the build and if you’re so inclined to pick one up for yourself, here’s the link:
    amzn.to/3xnrRyS
    PS - this isn’t sponsored by KidKraft, the only compensation I’m getting is if you buy from that link up there (and please do as it goes to pay for all the fun stuff I’m producing on this channel - thank you!)

    I practically built this on my own with my husband only helping hold a few pieces in place for me and it took me about 10 hours with breaks as long as you pay attention and follow the instructions this is a pretty simple playset to put together definitely not as bad as all the reviews made it out to be and I was worried at first lol now the wood is t the best in my opinion but for a cheap playset it’s definitely not too shabby!

      Hi there sorry for the late reply. I don't see why you couldn't do that. You'd just need to put the railings where the slide originally went, and then move the slide over. The slide itself really just screws to the platform. Enjoy!

    Your comment about "insect resistance" (around 13:20) is an incorrect interpretation of the phrase. Insect resistance refers to wood boring/consumption insects (i.e. termites, carpenter ants, carpenter bees, etc). Cedar will deter (not entirely) but substantially more than other woods when it comes to insects destroying your wood. It will not deter spiders from using the sealed surface corners to make a home in. Just FYI. Nice job though!

      I just went outside to look and nothing immediately jumps out at me that would indicate you COULDN'T do that. My only call out is that having the slide right next to the swing may cause some accidental bumps and bruises (which is probably why they broke up the action with the rock wall). Technically though, like I said, nothing jumped out structurally in my eye that would prevent you from doing one side or the other. Good luck with the build!!

      @@MADEbyAP so kind of the same question. Do you know if it is possible to put the slide and the ladder on the other side? In other words basically “Flip” the tower around? ALSO, what size sockets did you have to use, cause I may need to buy a set to put mine together. Thanks!

      Great question. If you charged, say $20 an hour and it takes roughly 8 hours solo I’d charge anywhere between $160-$200 for labor. I hope that helps!

    Thanks for putting this video together. I got this from a consignment store and, while they're good people, I shouldn't have fully trusted them haha. "Oh yeah, all the pieces are in there sir".......Anyways, during the "inventory check" I noticed all of the pieces of wood that the climbing pieces attach to are not there as well as the rail block are not there. Luckily, I think I can actually just cut them myself. Originally I was thinking I could just call kidkraft and purchase these pieces but doubt it because I purchased from a consignment store not a retailer. Has anyone gone through this issue before? Will kidkraft send me onesy-twosy pieces?

    • @MADEbyAP
      @MADEbyAP  Před 2 lety

      Oh no! What a pain! I personally haven't had experience working with KidKraft to get replacement pieces but may be worth a shot. If you have the instructions and the item numbers and are willing to pay that shouldn't be a problem (but what do I know haha). Good luck!

    The KidKraft swing set broke under a year. I contacted customer service and sent all required paperwork and photos and haven't heard back from "Sarah". It started falling apart 6 months after I bought it then completely at 10 months. My daughter was swinging on it and it cracked and off she flew. Terrible customer service. I will not be letting this go simply because the children don't need to be hurt. If they cared they would have contacted me back!
