@@HenryPugBrothers yes us too! His average speed was about 13.7 mph, so factoring in time to get to full speed, Bean’s top speed was probably a little over 14 mph (probably just shy of 15mph)

A really great way to increase your dog's speed is to do a restrained recall. You have someone hold onto your dog (usually by their harness) and you stand at the finish line. Get SUPER excited and really amp up your dog, so much so that they are straining and pulling to try to get to you. Then your helper releases, and BOOM you get a rocket dog!

So who won? I seen how fast Rooney went in the other video but Idk how fast Bean went in miles/hr to compare. This kind of makes me want to see how fast(slow, very very slow) my pug could go. lol.
So Rooney’s top speed was 14 mph, while Bean averaged about 13.7 mph so taking into account that the start is always slower Bean’s top speed was most likely a little over 14 mph! And Bentley was definitely under 14 mph 😂. Always hard to compare since it’s not the same measurement though! And yes please test your pug’s speed! We really want to hear!
@@HandstandPug Makes sense, thanks! :) Rooney was documenting his top speed as well, he may not have run that fast the whole time, so it seems like they are pretty close to each other. Pugs certainly aren't as lazy or slow as some people think though, that's for sure. 🥰😁
I'm guessing my Pug, Lily, would do 40 yards in about 2-3 minutes. 😂 She's old and goes very slow, more of a waddle than a walk, and definitely no running anymore.
