I Had it 3-2 right after the fight but 4-1 after rewatch but i was afraid they might give it to Volk based on crowd influence and him being big underdog and UFC judges that you can't ever trust.

Yes he is in with Khab just makes it the best training in game plan I do think if Islam got the normal time to rehydrate it would of been a different fight I'd bet it would of been a finish by Islam in my opinion he can move up in hold that belt in maybe all the way to 205 belt really whis khaib would of went up in took that belt so Islam can take the 155 since I think no one could beat khaib till heavyweight just don't think his belief in will was unbreakable he mite have not been the best all a round fighter his will to never give up or tap was like no other fighter don't think anyone can say I'm wrong I'm not religious at all but when I look at him makes me wanting to learn his in Christian religion in to see Muslims are good people in its just the one percent makes it look bad in I know Christians,catholic people but I look at his circle in think there better people

I think it's weird when most of the same people who had Max beating Alex in the rematch now say that Alex beat Islam when you can look at one fight differently and the other like it was nothing alike... But it's fair to say that Islam would have been much better if Khabib was there. Nobody in the team besides Khabib understands the full guard/half guard positions, judo throws, ground control, sweps, trips, inside and outside hooks, and using a submission at a right time. And this is regards to everyone who has been training with him since childhood days... Anyway, hope Javier convinces Khabib to return as a coach for the biggest fights even if it's once or twice every year.

if it was fully rehydrate Islam your statement could be valid but it is hard to know cause all tactical knowledges and plans can easily gone with the wind if you are pretty much exhausted, just rewatch Islam' face and his arm movement at 1st round while he tried to have Volk' neck, that was a moment when i know something was very wrong

One thing we hv to keep in mind in the islam-volk fight is the duration of recovery, islam had 12hrs less to recover from that weight cut,so he came in depleted and fatigued...just look at his face in the first round wen he had volk on the ground, he looked lost
So for a person who was depleted and was going against p4p 1 he did well.

I usually find unknown co-hosts with known ufc characters as more of a distraction or a hindrance to the podcast but this dude was very pleasant and great at doing his job and leading the podcast with great questions and letting the main man give all his thoughts without interrupting. Hi Coach Javier , if the fight with Alex and Islam is going to happen again. It is significant for Islam to make a statement by finishing Alex within 3 rounds. Looking back I knew Islam can finish Alex when he caught him with a leg triangle but Islam allowed Alex to talk and that made people believed Alex is better than Islam. This will be a good money fight for Islam and I pray for his success. All the best coach.

What doesn't make sense is that islam never fought any big-name fights. It was his fast title defense. He was fighting king of P4P. The fight was very close, but islam emerged the winner, I thought Islam was supposed to be praised for winning against the king and coming from fighting nobodies to somebody, but he didn't get the praise he deserved

It was fun. Islam won 4-1. But wasn't dominant in 2 of the 4 rounds. Volks was better on cardio. Islam did far better in standing and he won the match with that. Next fight I think Islam will win a convenient 4-1 or 5-0.

Volk team prepared buggy choke to counter Islam arm triangle, they have submissions like heel hook,leg locks, rear naked choke guillotine triangle, there is no tape on volk doing submissions,so that can surprise Islam in rematch,in fighting a guy like Charles oliveria dariush or any grappler, Islam expect submission thread but not against volk,his coach craig jones are preparing volk for that and training by Hickman wrestling coaches,their team also study opponents a lot
Islam isn't easy to submit he is a world sambo champ .....he fought so many submission guys:mansour barnaoui(not much known but he fought him 9yrs ago he is now in bellator with only 4 loses)this guy is highly decorated fighter with 13 submissions and cldnt submit young islam, moises black belt, Charles ,ramos. He said in an interview he gave moises his leg which led to a heel hook but islam didn't look shook. I want volk to do that to engage with islam on the ground instead of constant scrambling and he will get a rude awakening.

@@maymunadam it is expecting submission threads, with all those guys you name,their was tape of them submitting previous opponents but volk don't has any submission wins tape,so if you can get surprised,I follow all volk team coaches camp and I see them practicing those things in lead up to that fight, volk was not totally flat on his back,so we don't see volk trying for submission and Islam previous opponents don't have gas tank like volk,they can gas out their arms legs for submission but volk don't get tired and is strong
