Yes! Yes! Yes! Please expand the line of wide neck acoustics. For strumming and playing solo lines with a flat pick, it doesn't really help, but for intricate fingerstyle playing, it is a wonderful thing. A wide neck makes the guitar fingerstyle specific. This class of guitarist has been left out far too long.

I have a Seagull Peppino Artist, nut is 1.9 inches. My abilities increased exponentially with the extra room. I thought I was a bad guitarist for all of those years, I just didn't have a guitar big enough for my very large hands. You wouldn't want to cram your feet into a shoe that is three sizes too small. Same thing with the front board. I applaud Ibanez and we'll be getting one of these. I wish other hard-headed guitar makers (are you listening Taylor?) Would come around to this thinking too. Thanks again Ibanez!

A tad over 48mm, perfect! Agree with everything said here, Ibanez make great and affordable guitars, we have few. Now if they would only make a parlour size with 48mm neck and a 12th fret body I'd order one right now, for some reason in my old age I find full size bodies hard to cope with. One of the best wide necks we had was a solid wood Washburn parlour around 10 years old, again a 48mm neck and lovely sound, only thing I couldn't cope with and the reason we sold it was the tree of Life inlay, I'm a neck watcher and jump around a lot playing ragtime, kept missing the mark! Good video, regards, Old fat hands.

I don’t have huge hands, but I’ve always struggled to properly fret certain chord positions because of my nails, even when I’ve freshly clipped them.
I can’t play a C chord without unintentionally muting/buzzing the high E string with my index finger. To get the high E string to ring out I have to use the tip of my nail to fret the B string. It’s something I’ve always found really frustrating when I’ve played guitar.
I’m gonna try and push the nail beds back on my left hand over the next couple of months by clipping and filing them every day to see if I can get any improvement on this issue. If this doesn’t work, the Alvarez acoustic guitar I just bought will be getting swapped for this Ibanez.

I purchased the The Artwood 417 and have been trying to convince myself to keep it as it is nice to play. However, I decided to return it. It sounds Ok for a beginner but if you are looking for a great sound, make sure you get a solid wood top sides and back.

As a fingerpicker I play a lot faster and I feel more confortable on a classical nylon guitar (52mm neck), but I still prefer the sound of steel. Thats why I ordered this guitar... to combine my preferences. I see this as a perfect combo. Can't wait to try it out

Also in Texas. Bought a Dean acoustic electric for my Christmas present and realizing I can’t really play it due to pairing of a tiny neck and my thick fingers. Electric is a bit easier for me to play as a beginner but even then, many of the nut width/string spacing are industry standard. So I’m in the process of finalizing the purchase of an inexpensive tele and swapping in a Big Lou neck & their wide bridge, along with upgrading to locking tuners. I think I’ll advance much quicker instead of muting half the chords and having to develop workarounds. I’d rather be able to learn to play the way everyone else does. Once I’ve got that down, would like to come back to a wide neck acoustic. Would appreciate you updating on how this one works for you.

I am 6’4” tall and huge hands with long fingers. IBANEZ - PLEASE MAKE MORE WIDE NECK GUITARS!!! More colors, more options as well. There is a huge market for big size guys like me. 48 mm equals 1.9 inches wide. perfect width as even 1-3/4 inches is too narrow for me. I have been trying to get a custom made neck this wide from all the major builders, and the price is just way too expensive. US dollars= $4,000 minimum - then goes up from there!!! This may be the guitar I get. But I am in the US and this is only available in Europe as of summer of 2020. I still may get it.

I have fairly big hands with rather "wide" finger tips. Always had trouble just to push one string at the time on a steel stringed guitar. So I decided to get me a guitar with a wider neck. Wanted to try a cheap one before I get one custom made for several thousand £ or $. So I found this. It's actually not that bad sounding at all. But how easy it is for me to play! So many things I can do that I've been struggeling with for years!
Maybe I'll get me a custom made or settle with this one. It is not impossible.

There are some good luthiers in Sweden, but the last one I had contact with puts 200-250 hours in a guitar and charge 11 thousand euros as a start...
