Biosphere 2

Biosphere 2 was built as an experiment to place 8 people inside for two years to demonstrate living in space. Most people believe the experiment was a failure and was forgotten. While there were problems, quite a bit of good came from the first two tests from the 1990s. Today, the facility works as a huge laboratory allowing students from the University of Arizona to research and development on new science techniques that can only be done in controlled environments like these.
If you take a tour, you’ll see the living quarters, science and research centers, their rainforest, desert, ocean, special air scrubbers and water filtrations systems and more.
