What are your thought on Illusion?
Is this color blind friendly? :)
Looks like a fun one to play with my grandkids to help them practice their colors & start to learn about proportions. They won't get the percentages, but they should do fine with choosing more or less then see if the numbers count in order. It won't be competitive with them, but I think they'd like it. They are really into games with grandpa right now.
I play this one with the kids. I have to say, their eyes are definitely better than mine. I never win! 😁. But it’s a great filler game. Hmmm...I wonder if the Crew and Cafe are on the list...hmmm!
@@zimdelapena9885 Unlikely unfortunately...
@@BillyIndiana That's really adorable!! You're absolutely right, this would be a great game to play with the little ones. "Does this card have more or less?"
This looks like such a fun little thought exercise! Never knew anything about it until now! Thanks!
We were pleasantly surprised by it.
Very fast fun game. It is tricker than it looks. I like playing with a variant where you collect all the cards instead of the arrows, allows for people to press their luck further to collect more cards. I play both ways though depending on how people want to play.
Oh I see, so do you leave the cards in the row that were in the right sequence?
@@BeforeYouPlay The idea is that it gets most people to keep going sometimes instead of plating it safe. So if wrong as always the pervious person gets all the cards from the row. If you are right you collect all the cards for the points. So collecting 5 or 6 cards is way more fun then just 3. I have seen someone collect as many as 8 cards playing with that variant.
This is one of the few games that my step-dad likes so I decided to gift my copy of it to my parents.
Really cool game. I love filler games and would totally play it. The only downside I can see to it is that, after awhile, there's a definite shelf life since there's only so many combinations of the cards that you could run into before you start memorizing the percentages and it looses it's fun. At that point, I'd give it to the next person so it can have a new life.
Side note: I see Cards Against Humanity as a game with a shelf life too for the same reason as I said above. However, they're very smart for releasing new card pack expansions to keep it fresh. I also think CAH works with different players each time so you can see the shock in their face as they read/hear the cards. That's key to keeping it fresh imo.
You are right, if we ever feel like one of us has memorized the deck we would pass it along to someone else for them to enjoy.
This one looks sooo fun!
I love this game. Nice little filler game. They need to make one about Optical Illusions too, like guess what this picture is. That would be so awesome.
Lol like an inkblot test! Have you played Codenames: Pictures?
@@BeforeYouPlay I have not played code names pictures yet. I think I will get a copy soon. I got “Detective Club” and I liked it. I just got “color brain” the Disney version for Christmas.
@@Laura.jigsaw_journey I think Codenames Pictures will definitely scratch that "optical illusion" itch. We think the pictures version absolutely destroys the original. We've played Detective Club a few times, really enjoyed it!
Thanks for the playthrough sample guys. I think it would have a pretty limited lifespan as you become familiar with the percentages through repeated plays. That's the potential drawback I see.
It could certainly happen if you play the game many many times. There's a lot of variability due to randomness of when the cards come out.
@@BeforeYouPlay and also when you get the same card you probably are at a different color. So it makes it really hard to remember them all.
I always wonder what that game was about :)
We had no idea until we received it. We enjoyed the game for its simplicity.
Who gets the arrow if there are more than 2 people playing and you fail a challenge?
nm - If the player makes an incorrect query (i.e.the entire row was correct), then the arrow card is awarded to the player who put down the final color card immediately before the questioning player. I found it. Thank you.
