Staying Over In Gothenburg’s Newest Themed Hotel
Liseberg’s Grand Curiosa Hotel & Room Tour
Are you looking for a memorable place to stay in Gothenburg? How about choosing a hotel with a slide in the lobby, carousel in the restaurant and en-suite amusement park? Liseberg’s Grand Curiosa Hotel is the newest hotel in Gothenburg, opening in April 2023. We were lucky enough to be invited for a special pre-opening test, as part of the European Coaster Club’s limited edition liseberg event. This was to be real life guests to test the hotel for the staff, before it opened to the public. #ECCliseberg
A very big thank-you to Liseberg for their incredible hospitality during this event:

Grand Curiosa Hotel can be found in Gothenburg Sweden, located next to Liseberg amusement park at the park’s south entrance.
The tram stop Liseberg Södra is right outside with lines 2 and 4 running to the central station.
The main entrance, a 5-10min walk is right by the Korsvägen travel plaza which has many tram lines and even airport busses will stop there.

The hotel offers, luggage storage, gym, cafes, speakeasy bar, buffet restaurant and rooftop bar and bistro.
In 2024 the adjoining Oceana water park will open and be connected to the hotel.

The standard rooms sleep at least 5 people - however the hotel recommends max of 4 adults as the pull out bed is narrow.
You have 3 bunk beds in this first section, which can be closed off with a curtain and a double bed in the second section of the room, with the private bathroom in the middle.
The bathroom contained a toilet, large sink with two mixer taps and an impressive walk-in rainfall shower.
They provided body wash, shampoo and conditioner with a special hotel fragrance.
The room also featured a safe, mini fridge with bottle opener and 8 standard European outlets for plugging in your devices.

The Grand Curiosa Hotel is the perfect tonic to the world of chain, soulless hotels with its warm invitation to explore, the level of details are impressive and having the option to take the slide down to the lobby rather than the elevator is incredibly fun.
Overall, I was really impressed with my stay at Grand Curiosa Hotel I would recommend it if you were planning a trip to Gothenburg. It’s less than 15mins by tram from the central station so easy to explore the city and if you’re visiting Liseberg its very convenient.
Have you stayed at Liseberg’s Grand Curiosa Hotel?
