It’s only called the 🔴7 Av Line🔴 between Chambers St & 96 St. North of 96 St, where the switches are, the (1) train goes onto what becomes the Broadway Line & the (2) (3) trains go onto what becomes the Lenox Av Line. South of Chambers St, the (1) train goes onto what becomes the Greenwich St Line while the (2) (3) trains go onto what becomes the 7 Av Branch of the Eastern Pkwy Line 🔴🟢. So the Eastern Pkwy Line starts south of Chambers St. Matter of fact, on both the 🔴7 Av Line🔴 and the 🟢Lexington Av Line🟢, they both end directly south of Chambers St and their respective branches of the Eastern Pkwy Line 🔴🟢 start.

@@synacol_werj It might run under Broadway, but the line is still called the IRT 🔴7 Av Line🔴 between Chambers St and 96 St. The IRT Broadway Line starts at the switches just north of 96 St when it's the (1) Line by itself. Incidentally, that switch I'm talking about is where the two (1) trains had a derailment at the start of the year due to confusion on who had the right of way. They usually change the name of the line when routes separate from one another. An example is the Queens Blvd Line when the (E) and (M) separate or merge with the (R) to start and form the 53 St Line and the Queens Blvd Line
