Get this video to 1K likes and we’ll do another Bee Gees reaction! WE F***ING LOVE U GUYS!!
Love ya's too!!! Thanks for this!!
Also, this song was from the movie "Saturday Night Fever" with John Travolta. Great soundtrack!
Jive Talkin.
We love ya back!
"How Deep is your Love" should be your next Bee Gees video! Love you guys!
Salt is good for the soul 😁
Actually, it was "Saturday Night Fever", not "Grease"
Both of these movies Star John Travolta
Actually, it was the title song to the follow-up movie to "Saturday Night Live", "Staying Alive".
@@sf0tacticalguy No, it was most definitely in "Saturday Night Fever" which came out in the late 70's, around the same time as this song
The movie "Staying Alive" came out in the mid 1980's (84 if I remember correctly)
@@karlsmith2570 It appears that you're correct, sir. My memory was faulty.
Absolutely Right
Old white guy here.
I wasn't allowed to see Saturday Night Fever due to it (in New Zealand) being R16 in 1978.
They’re saying.....“Whether you’re a brother, or whether you’re a mother, you’re staying alive...”!
That☝️☝️☝️
You are correct!
Thanks for the info I always wondered what the words were 55 and I'm 55 and never quite knew what they were singing
It's actually a "Lyric" video they're watching, you can see the words on the bottom of the video...
The Bee Gees had impeccable grammar, too!
The Bee Gees ruled for at least 20 years. They wrote many to hits for many artists throughout their time. They changed music in many genres and set the sound. They even made disco cool with songs like this one
When going for CPR certification, they use this song for chest compressions. The beat matches how many times you should be doing compressions. And the song title is appropriate too.💖💖💖
Ironically, I was taught that the proper song was Another One Bites the Dust. (Another legendary band!)
If this is real, then that's pretty cool
Wasn't this song in the Office for this exact reason lol
@@rebelliondelirious2726 When i was going through CPR training for my job thats literally what they told us lmao. To sing this in your head.
I've taught CPR for many years....I play this when teaching and testing.
The song "Stayin' Alive" was used in the movie 'Saturday Night Fever' for the first time in 1977. 6 years later Silvester Stalone made the followup to this movie, called 'Staying Alive' and once again John Travolta played the lead. The song 'Staying Alive' was used again for this movie. While the movie was a succes, it never came close to the succes front 'Saturday Night'. In 1978 the Bee Gees wrote the Grease theme song for the musical 'Grease' , where once again John Travolta played one of the lead characters. The song is called "Grease" and was performed by Frankie Valli.
I was working in Midtown Manhattan in 1982. On my lunch break, I went to Central Park and saw Sly directing the scene where Tony walks with the dancer he's interested in while he playfully snatches her hat. All we heard was "alright, John, give it back," before we realized we were watching a movie being filmed. Sly then called "cut," and he begins running down towards us to get to his actors. He was a lot shorter than I thought. And Travolta looked like a giant. He was easily 6'4". We said good luck to Stallone and he just said "thanks." I didn't know it was "Staying Alive" he was shooting. It's just one of those memories, you know...
@@bellodrade From what Iremember, the 'Saturday night fever' story was about a young man.....and family and friends - not well off at all....... BUT...... every weekend night, he would get dressed up.... put on the swank...... and head for the dance hall....to aim to win competionns and maybe one day....... get recognised and become famous. Has always been the same and always will be. Young men...... hope to be staying alive and get out of the humdrum drudgery of life. The walk is a walk of hope I suuppose.
@@angelatester2471 Okayyyy...
Bee Gee’s “You should be Dancing”. You’ll love it!
Facing the laptop:
(1) Maurice (on the left - short hair) While on his way to surgery for his intestines, he had a heart attack, yet the doctors operated anyway. (I heard Barry say this on a video.) He was in the hospital for only 2 days! Maurice (pronounced Morris) passed in 2003. He had some songs where he sang lead.
2) Robin (on the right-long hair - close to the train) passed in 2012 from cancer. He and Barry complimented each other with their voices. From looking at other videos, Robin and Maurice seemed to be the comedians. However, when it was time to handle their business, they knew what to do, as did Barry. Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins.
(3) Andy, the youngest brother, (not pictured) had his own successful career. He passed in 1988, at the age of 30, from inflammation of the muscles around his heart. He and Barry could had passed as twins, even though he was 12 yrs younger than Barry. Andy did not perform with the group, because he was a baby when his brothers began singing. However, I found another video where one of the brothers said they had planned to have Andy record with them on the next album, but he passed away. There is one video where he is singing 'You Should Be Dancing' with his brothers. (silver outfits.) The 3 brothers were also married and had children.
(4) Barry (in the middle) said, "I am the last man standing." Barry is the eldest of the brothers. On September 1, 2021, he and his wife, Linda will celebrate their 51st wedding anniversary, which is also Barry's 75th birthday. They have 5 adult children, and 7 grandchildren. The Bee Gees have sold over 220 million records worldwide ( more by now.) They were also writers for other musical artists. On a side note, their sister, Lesley is the first born. She was 76, back in January, 2021. She lives a quiet life with her family. I guess we can call her the 'Queen Bee.' 😁
REACTION TO: Too Much Heaven --- How Deep Is Your Love ----- Emotion (a song written for Samantha Sang - very smooth and mellow.) --- You Win Again (a different sound with Barry's voice.) There are other videos that give a wealth of great information. There are pictures of them when they were babies, growing up, their first years as a group, talk shows/ interviews. They were good friends with Michael Jackson.
John Travolta's character was VERY confident. So this song fit! Love you guys.
You can't go wrong with any Bee Gee's song. They have a massive vault going back to the 60's.
“Well you can tell by the way I use my walk I’m a woman’s man, no time to talk”!🙌🏼👍🙌🏼🙌🏼
Sue - Yep! How funny! He's way too busy just...walkin' - to have any time to talk. That walk must take up every thought and full attention. What is that called? Catwalk?
The song was in the movie Saturday Night Fever with John Travolta. They're saying Whether your a brother or whether your a mother, your stayin alive, stayin alive
The BeeGees are brilliant singers; the way their voices blend together; the arrangement & music is soooooooo amazing
Barry Gibb......was the epitome of gorgeous in the late 70s lol Saturday Night Fever soundtrack is fantastic! # disco
I always had a thing for Robin... They were all good looking boys though... Oh my goidness! Maurice was so damn sexy.
Ikr?! And so was his little brother, Andy Gibb. Looked EXACTLY like Barry. He was great. Poor fellows...😔🥰
I love Disco. It was great to be a teenager back then.
"You can't do the ugly face, you're too pretty" #FACTS
Bee Gees is old school jams!
I think you need to watch “Saturday Night Fever” to better understand this song and many of their other songs....
Saturday Night Fever is an important movie to watch to understand the disco era. Movie about a bored young man working in a dead end job who lives for the flashy nightclub disco dancing scene. He is quite the skilled, flashy dancer
@@gwillis01
Great soundtrack but the movie was not anything like the discos I knew. Real, organic dance clubs were all Blacks, Jews and Gays.
yesss Bee Gees are incredible. Do "You should be dancing", "love you inside out", and "Fanny be Tender"
Fanny be tender?? Honestly?
HAHAHAHAH THIS was this best reaction ya'll ever posted!!!!!!!! He said ya can't do no ugly face and you tried and he still said beautiful.... I want that love and God Bless ya'll and your family! Thanks for the reaction :)
This was in the movie Saturday Night Fever, IT Started the disco craze. At the time it was wild' Bee Gees is there acronym for the Brothers Gibs They were from Australia. Keep rocking it guys.
Wrong, they were born on the Isle of Man, a British Dependency Island between Great Britain and Ireland. They are/ were Brits. They moved to Australia when Barry was nearly 12 and the twins were nearly 9. Listen to their accents and you will realise they were/are Brits.
If you haven't done Too Much Heaven by the Bee Gees, please check it out.
They have to do Too Much Heaven. Such a great song.
Try there song TO MIUCH HEAVEN It will blow you a way FROM 1978 And no AUTO TONE ,, JUST 70s talent NIGHT NIGHT , What band today can touch the BEE GEES ,, NO ONE THATS WHO ,, DUDE YOU ARE VERY JEALUS OF THE BEE GEES ,, THIS LP Has sold over 45 million LPS
There is SO MUCH Bee Gee’s. From 1960 to current. Barry just worked with Dolly Parton.
Everything they did/do is perfection. They had full control over all their music - writing; instruments; production and engineering.
I highly suggest “Too Much Heaven” to blow your socks off- This was in Saturday Night Fever, (John Travolta 😍) along with other Bee Gees greats- great soundtrack all the way around- top in my favorite movies list. John Travolta also starred in Grease with Olivia Newton John- ❤️✌️
Beegees are Legend....Wassup my favorite duo!🍻
"Saturday Night Fever" baby!!! Even if it doesn't get a thousand likes, play more! Disco Kings, baby!!!
"He look kinda creepy peeking around that corner like that"
It's because we didn't live in such a creep conscious society like we do now as the term didn't even exist in their day. The word back then only referred to scary mythical creatures such as ghosts and goblins...not molesters and rapists as it does today.
Even with the advance level of technology the consciousness of society has taken a deep nose dive in present times.
When I was learning CPR, this is the beat used for chest compressions
Interestingly there was an advert in the UK maybe 10 years ago and that's the beat they told you to do CPR to
As a teenager, I really liked the BeeGees' soft rock (pre-disco) work. When they went disco, I felt like they were selling out to what was popular at the time. (Full disclosure: I was an aspiring musician with a disdain for certain styles.). Gosh, was I ever wrong. Looking back, now, as I am pushing 70, I have nothing but respect for these brothers. They were incredibly talented as both creators and executors of their creations. They deserved all the accolades -- and more -- for what they accomplished. RIP, those who have passed and thank you all for sharing your gifts with us.
Yeah, people were being "cool" at the time, making fun of disco music.
I am DYING laughing at Half on this one! “That train ain’t going nowhere” 😂😂😂
Y’all are sooo cute, love you guys. Since y’all doing The Bee Gees can you react to Jive Talking
Jive Talking is the best!
Just Do it!
The Bee Gees are from my City, Manchester, England. So proud of them. Manchester has produced many talented artists.
OH...HELL YEAH!!! THAT'S SOME OLD SCHOOL JAM!! LOVE IT!!! 😊😊❤💜👍👍✌✌🤘🤘💯💯💯💯💯
Ok now!!! We’re goin back! I like it!!! Ok do Bee Gee’s How Deep is Your Love:)
Listening to y’all..😅 Barry Gibb, taller, falsetto, also a heartthrob.. “Too Much Heaven.” All 3 wearing white shirts- let’s see how observant y’all are- 😂🤣 That aside, the song is beautiful and again, will blow y’all away- ❤️✌️
Bee Gees are #4 all time record selling group.
They are Legendary. Over 40 years in the music industry.
Were children when they started recording.
They have a 4th brother Andy Gibb who was a Great Singer.
1st brother to Pass away.
Also they wrote many songs for other famous recording Artist.
They have been credited with starting the disco era.
Its so cool to watch the pure love between you guys every vid. "Soul mates" gets thrown around to easily, because in truth, it very rare.....but you guys
.......SOUL MATES! 💕
Hop.e you check out the move, Saturday Night Fever. It was everything and so were the Bee Gees and that 'Fever' Soundtrack. Thanks for your reaction.
This is from Saturday Night Fever, but Barry Gibb did write the song "Grease," the theme song for the movie Grease, so you weren't off by too much in terms of the Bee Gees and Grease.
Love you guys and your energy. You make my day better each time I watch you. Speakin' of watching.... I saw these guys live back in the 70's when this album was released. They put on a hell of a show back in the day. Keep up the good vibes y'all. Peace and Love to All
The song is with John Travolta in the movie Staying Alive
It was in Saturday Night Fever...Stayin' Alive was the sequel
Saturday Night Fever
Please do their song Jive Talkin’. Not many people have reacted to it.
Funny thing is the disco era was fading out when this album and the accompanying movie Saturday Night Fever came out. Revived the disco few more years. Great vibe and beat ....just love it 💗🕊️
I don't think this was in Grease, but it was in Saturday night fever, with John Travolta, and it was in one of the grumpy old men movies.
Greatest song of all time. Has so much meaning. Wow the 80s
The song was from 1978
My mom loved the BEEGEE'S
I believe this song was featured in the movie Staying Alive that had John Travolta in it
really good movie actually
Saturday Night Fever. But movie Staying Alive was great Travolta movie 💗
This song was in Saturday Night Fever. Yes a John Travolta movie. Love your reactions. It always makes my day better. Shout out from North Carolina.
This song was not from Grease but from the 1977 film "Saturday Night Fever" which also happen to star John Travolta.
Listened to this back in high school 80's on cassettes and Walkman 🇬🇾
Whether you're a brother or whether you're a mother you're staying alive
Feel the city breakin' cuz everybody's shakin' you're staying alive
This song was in Saturday Night Fever and it did star John Travolta
Love they're reactions to so many genre's of different music. They seem so in love. Great couple 💕
😂😂 Great reaction!!! Love how into it you both are.
Saturday night fever was the movie
A VERY BIG MOVIE IN FACT 1970s at its best
Just to confuse things further, Barry Gibb wrote the opening song for Grease, and all three wrote this one, which is the opening song for Saturday Night Fever.
So happy you guys are venturing down the Bee Gee's rabbit hole, you are going to love it!!! 😍
Heartwarming reaction to this (timeless) tune. Made me discover this channel, already started the journey of discovering the other videos. Thanks :)
They also had a younger brother Andy Gibb that had a singing career as well

Saturday night fever movie
No, this is in "Saturday Night Fever" which came out in the 70's, around the same time as this song
"Staying Alive" was released in the mid-80's as a sequel to "Saturday Night Fever"
If you don't believe me, look it up on IMDb

It is from the 1977 movie Saturday Night Fever and this movie has 6 songs written by The Bee Gees, all number 1 hits except More Than A Woman.
The Songs Are: How Deep Is Your Love, Night Fever, Stayin' Alive, Jive Talkin' (Original from 1975), You Should Be Dancing (Original from 1976) and More Than A Woman sung by themselves.
More Than A Woman (Again) sung By Tavares and If I Can't Have You sung by Yvonne Ellimann.
In the span of 4 years from 1977 to 1980 they wrote 12 number 1's. 6 sung by themselves (How Deep Is Your Love, Night Fever, Stayin' Alive, Too Much Heaven, Tragedy and Love You Inside Out), 3 sung by their little brother Andy Gibb (I Just Want To Be Your Everything, (Love Is) Thicker Than Water and Shadow Dancing), 1 by Yvonne Ellimann (If I Can't Have You), 1 by Frankie Valli (Grease) and 1 by Barbra Streisand (Woman In Love).
Jive Talkin' and You Should Be Dancing were also number 1's in 75 and 76.
The Bee Gees recorded If I Can't Have you themselves and released it as the B side of their Too Much Heaven single.
And he says:
Wether your a brother or wether your a mother you are stayin' Alive.
